I was thinking about buying my gf an Instax camera for her brithday, but thank God I bumped into this video. I think this will be a much better gift. You kinda get the best of both worlds, smartphone quality picture taking with old school film printing. It doesn't get better than that imo.

i have a crisis. i like this printer bc it looks rlly good and has that polaroid look, and i can just use pictures on my phone and i’ll know what it would look like beforehand, however i love the idea of having instant pictures as soon as u take it yk? like there’s just something special abt getting the picture as soon as u take it. ahhhh

Fujifilm Instax Mini Liplay is both an instant camera and a printer that connects to your phone. Essentially you can take photos with the fuji camera which it then prints, and you can also choose photos from your camera roll on your phone that you want to print, which sounds like what you’re looking for.

the pictures develop wayyyyyy better in red light (bc that’s how film is normally developed) so i recommend having the red LED string lights when you’re printing with this printer :)

I just got a mini link and I LOVE it. I’ve used more film than I probably will at any one time since I’m trying it out but it’s an easy learning curve.
Also with amazon, they won’t deliver this to all places so anyone looking to buy just keep that in mind. I had to order via ship to store through target in order to get one.

My girlfriend bought me a blue one for my birthday hehe! I'm so happy with it. She asked me what I preferred and I just thought this one because it's perfect for needs. I just need to know what the image is gonna look like before it pops up 😅.
I paired it with my Fujifilm XT-100. I figured of I take good photos in a more controlled environment, any camera wouldn't honestly, but for a photographer nut like me, I wouldn't like the actual instax cameras at all. I JUST LOVE THAT FUJIFILM' COLORS!
You can even just use your phone and print it straight away. For those lazy snapshots that is great. I also like the sauce variety of options you can do with it. I'm a matt typical of person and pretty much slaps matt to everything I see 😂, so I love this feature where you can have a lot more freedom in getting the image you want out of this.

So I didn’t realize it came out in the last few months it’s pretty brand new but I was surprised at how many UA-cam videos they were on about it which was not many. Let’s put it this way most of the videos I could find on UA-cam were in a different language they were not in English and the very few videos I could find on UA-cam about this that were in English there wasn’t very many they are very short and didn’t explain a whole lot about the printer. What videos I could find convinced me I need one but there were still features on this printer that I wanted to know more about and there wasn’t really any videos about it like the whole party mode I’m still confused about that. Like I understand his printer is brand new but I’m surprised at how little people actually did videos about it like I’m just surprised when I didn’t realize it’s this brand new and I pick this one over all the other Fuji film printers because I like that it uses the same film as my camera I have arty have a camera that takes the mini film so I don’t have to go by a different film already have the film the meeting I could buy the film and either use it in the printer or the Polaroid camera that I have by Fujifilm so it doesn’t take a different kind I don’t buy two separate films that’s what really got me to want this I mean yes there are other ones that are probably cheaper by like $70 for other ones by different brands but then you’d have to get different type of film or paper or whatever for it. So I just went with this one because it’s by the same brand as my camera which I love and I don’t have to buy different film so that convinced me but I’m always one those people before I buy something I try to like look up on UA-cam a video to learn more about it and I was just disappointed there really wasn’t anything I think there were less than 10 videos maybe five at most a lot of them were in a different language so that didn’t really help or the video was too short and didn’t tell me much of anything

SerenityAqua 123 hi! I don’t think they have grey, love the denim blue! That’s actually the one I wanted but at the time they only had white.😢
And no, unfortunately it doesn’t come with the film. However you can get 100 films for $60 on amazon! Great deal if you know you’re gonna be using it a lot 😇

The white one definitely looks more gray to me it’s like a grayish whitish color honestly looks white with the gray in it it’s Ashley white color but it looks more gray to me like a very light gray it’s the same color as my Fuji mini nine is the same color is white but it has like a little bit of gray in it to me there is no gray color but it looks like a very light gray but it’s actually white it’s an ashy white color but it looks more gray so I thought it was gray at first

See that’s what I heard a lot of people saying that they still like the camera it’s just bulky in certain situations where they’d want Polaroid pictures but it’s too bulky like concerts Disneyland like it’s just too bulky even though I do you have a small camera bag for my camera it’s just too bulky I’ll still use my camera in certain situations but they’re gonna be times where I want it I just don’t want the bulkiness and that’s what people are saying is that the printer is much slimmer. So that’s also why I wanted it and it actually matches my camera
kitty_loves_god yes! That’s a big reason why I bought this printer. You honestly don’t even need to carry it around, as long as you take the photos you want with your phone you can always go home and just print them! It’s great for travel if you want the photos right then and there tho 💁🏽♀️

Honestly, I really don’t think so. I guess some color ways are more popular than others and that’s why the price difference. But that’s just what I think! 😅
I bought an actual instax camera back then and because it was a nude color (different than others) I paid a bit more and my sister had a less pricey one and our pics looked the same 😊

Since you have both the fuji camera and the printer. My concern (about which one I should buy) has to do with the picture colour. With the camera I love the "old school" dark filter the pictures get. And I know with the printer I can adjust the filters, I just don't think I can make them look like the original filter pictures, the camera takes. Do you feel like you can see a difference of the photos (filter wise?). Or is it just me being overly concerned? Cause I really like the darker, old school blurrier photos. And it looks like the printer makes them more bright and more modern looking.

Sara Prsic Akbari hi! 🤗 honestly, I think that’s the reason I DONT add any filters even with my printer. I love that “old school” filter you’re describing that the camera had as well. I ONLY add brightness to a picture if it’s really too dark to see. However, yes! I would say there’s a slight difference with the picture color between the printer and camera. But I wouldn’t say it takes HD photos either.

I bought a different printer and it only let's me print from my camera roll. Does this product let me print anything? From snapchat to downloaded pics?????
I believe as long as you download those Snapchat pictures to your camera roll you should be fine. I don’t think you can do it straight from Snapchat 😕

Nope, it looks like it was taken on a Polaroid, no need to edit 😌
So I think that’s why my boyfriend doesn’t use his camera a lot because the film isn’t cheap and yeah you can get it for less if you buy just the one pack of film but I think that’s like a rip off I think you’re better off getting the pack that comes with to film but I just don’t understand why it’s never really on sale anywhere Amazon the only place it ever does and it’s usually just because you have to look in the used new section and you might find a used one for a few dollars less but I’ve never seen it on sale anywhere no store has ever had it on sale the square size so that is one of those films I’m always checking out on Amazon disappointed so that’s probably why he doesn’t use it as much because of that.

Do you have any tips on how you edit your pictures before printing? How is it that the color of the photo that you printed has the same color as the one you have in your phone 🥺
Hi girl! What I do is I brighten my picture a tad bit before printing ☺️
Without sounding too technical, it’s something called RGB levels which basically means that the image on the phone or computer naturally gets darker when you send it to another computer, or in this case a printer. 😇

The zoom on the printer is strange to me like when you’re gonna take a picture with your phone you can also use the printer to zoom in and out and it’s really weird I’m still trying to figure that out it either zooms in too much or zooms out too much like I haven’t figured a happy medium.

How is the battery? I just got mine and I charged it and it said 50% and a few seconds later it said 35% but I haven’t charged it for long so maybe it’s because of that but I’m wondering how it will be later on

Rowena Grace Estrabela Toriaga well both will give you a vintage look, so remember either aren’t HD photos. As long as the photos on your phone aren’t blurry and are good quality, you’ll get a nice picture off of the mini link 🙏🏾

Hi, about how long does it take for the picture to appear on the film? do you have to fan it out
Hello!! I’ve heard with these new instax photos you do not have to fan them out like the ones from back in the day. My dad accidentally fanned one of my pics and the ink ran through the photograph.
I have not checked how long it takes but I would wait anywhere from 30sec-1min to make sure the pic fully appears and shows the colors it has to show. 😊

Gianna Ramirez you don’t need to buy ink, just the instax mini film 🤗. If you’re gonna use your printer a lot I recommend you go on amazon because they have the big packs for cheaper 🎉

aidenxb no you don’t! That’s why I love the printer. 🥳 all you need is the printer, some film of course and then you print whatever photos you want from your phone.

Yeah if you want HD quality photos get a really good camera or use your phone but like that’s what I like about it that it’s vintage old school look it’s not gonna have that crystal clear HD picture quality I like that their old school looking like I still like that feeling that’s why I was so excited that I was able to buy the printer because someone had in my family had mailed me a Christmas card with some money and I use part of it to buy the printer that I was just unfortunate and lucky that it came on Christmas Yves it was supposed to come the day after Christmas Day. And I like the look and feel of the Fujifilm it’s pretty cool I’m always gonna be more of a fan of the mini size film one is the cheaper film despite what people say it really is the cheaper film because my boyfriend has the other Fujifilm camera that takes Square photos and that is expensive film like it could cost anywhere from $18-$20 for a two pack if you’re lucky you can find a used like new condition one the box will be bent up but the film will be fine and if you’re lucky you can find out under $16 so I’m always on the hunt to find that film under $16 so anytime I see the square size under $16 I always wanna buy it for my boyfriend because his film is a little more expensive. And my mini film was on sale on Black Friday at Best Buy for $11.99. And my film the Tupac used to be $12 on Amazon now it’s no longer it’s like $16 for it now. And Target had it on sale on Black Friday for $14.99 so it used to cost me 12 bucks for it on Amazon to pack now the cheapest I can find it for is $16 so I just wait until Black Friday or I might be able to find a use like you were just the box is messed up for a good price for my film and my boyfriend’s Film I’m always on the hunt to look for. I mean you can for like $10-$12 get the one pack which is one film that takes 10 photos but that’s a rip off you’re better off getting the two pack which is two separate films is take 10 so you’re pretty much paying for a total of 12 photos that’s a better deal but I’ve had my camera since October of last year and in that year the price has gone up if you speak 12 bucks for a two pack of the mini film now the cheapest I find it is $16 so when I saw it for $11.99 at Black Friday at Best Buy I told my boyfriend I need to get a pack because it’s not cheap anymore it’s now like 16 bucks at the cheapest. And I refuse to buy the one pack of film because one film takes 10 photos I think that’s a rip off it may be cheaper to buy the one pack but the two back is more valuable because of how much film you’ll go through the To pack of film is a better deal you get more for your money interest in that whole year that I’ve had the Cameron been buying the film it went from $12 to now $16 disappointing but I only try to buy it when it’s on sale the same with my boyfriend I just have to keep an eye out on that sort of thing

That is kind of cool that you could take up to 100 pictures in one charge I’m not even sure I would take 100 pictures let alone take 20 pictures although maybe with this printer I might end up taking 20 pictures are used my Fujifilm mini camera and I’ve use it for parties but we never really took a lot of photos like I was lucky if I took 15 photos it just never happened are you are forget to use the camera or by the time I use the camera most everyone to pray was gone so I took less than like 15 photos. I was a girl that’s like OK so one pack of film takes 10 photos so I buy the two pack so that’s a total of 20 photos because I always tried to have that many or maybe even tried have enough to I can take 30 pictures I was lucky if I could finish one roll of film which it takes 10 photos I was lucky to take 10 photos because I always forget to use the camera or my boyfriend would forget. And then by the time she decided to remember to take it we were lucky if we took 10 photos or we finished one roll of film and didn’t need to put a new one in because the party was over yeah. So maybe this printer will get me to use it more and I’ll be able to take more than just 10 photos

The very few videos on UA-cam about this printer a lot of the people which was mostly the women because I saw a few videos on this prayer and most of the women there were some with men reviewing the printer but the women thought you had to shake the picture when it came out of the printer like they’re thinking of old school Polaroid cameras were you shake the photo to get it to develop it actually said not to do that. Like I had the Fujifilm mini nine camera and it literally says in the manual not to shake the photo but everybody apparently on UA-cam does that not everybody but there are a lot of videos on this preacher and when I was deciding what camera to get a year ago a lot of the videos people were shaking the photo to get it to develop and I literally wanted to scream because I was like seriously it even says in the manual do not shake the photo this is not like a real Polaroid camera a real Polaroid film you don’t actually shake it to get the photo to develop that was something I did not like to see
kitty_loves_god hahaha I read that too! My dad shook mine and I told him it wasn’t actually like the ones from back then lol. When the picture was done clearing, the ink smeared different places haha. That’s how I figured out you are really not suppose to shake it lol.
What length and width is the film? because I was the fujifilm instead camera and I tried putting the camera film in the instead mini link printer
Jackie Cruz depends what camera you have. If you have the instax MINI camera, you can use the same film for both the camera & printer. The dimensions for the film are 3.4 inches in length & 2.1 in wide. 😊
