    This is my clients 3rd session towards blending her grey. Today we’re going to do just a partial foil to give her roots some soft highlights.
    We’ll tone her hair to blend her roots and cancel out as much warmth thru her ends as possible.

    Beautiful job!
    I made my first trip to the salon to have my gray hair blended. It's going to be a process. The appearance has been fantastic so far. It took 3 hours and was expensive, but it won't be like that every visit. The cost and processing time will be reduced.
    I can now schedule a visit to the salon every 8 weeks. No, all over color. It is liberating not to be at the salon so often.
    Yippee!

    I love how much you talk about the time and money for these services, so many people message me all the time inquiring for Blonding thinking it’ll be $100 or less when I do what you do go above and beyond pay attention to detail use quality product, custom each apt to what they want etc. just had someone tell me 2.5-3 hrs at $50/hr is too much for them, like i get it, but also good luck finding a stylist that does what I do for less than $150

    Great video, I love how down to earth and honest you are. I've just found your channel and have watched a few videos, it is so refreshing to see someone being honest and talking about the real challenges that come with colouring hair, I love how you don't try and cover things up to make out it all worked out perfectly with no bumps along the way. There are SO many tutorials out there that use smoke and mirrors! and the end results they show are a 1 second glimpse of the hair curled so there is no way of knowing what that colour really looks like...curls can hide so much.

      Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I try to be as real and honest as possible. I know you understand the term "Instagram hairstylist"..... something im DEFINITELY not 😂😂😂🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ but was scared no one would like me because I'm not a cute little hairstylist that wears a hat and Jean jacket everyday. So seeing feedback like this makes me so happy to know you guys appreciate a REAL , no BS personality.
      ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ much love!

    This was AMAZING! Great job! So informative. Thank you for sharing all the insights. Funny enough, this is what I'm doing to my hair during Covid. I had red hair, (demi only) and have been transitioning to this that you did. Love how you reinforced what might happen! Mine wasn't as bad because I'm lifting through a demi that was more of an auburn anyway. I'm a graying redhead and it has been a interesting transition. Never would have thought that I would like an ashy blonde on myself since I was a beautiful coppery auburn as a kid.
    I tried this same thing on my sister, luckily the transition wasn't bad, but I know from experience and watching videos that you gotta add the gold back into the ash toner! Yep. Learned that the hard way. 🤦‍♀️ Thanks again for all the great videos you put out!

    Wow, it turned out great!! 👍 can you please do a video on how to get the wave like in her hair.....i hope you feel better, get some fresh ginger, remove the skin & slice it...pour hot water over it, add raw honey & lemon. ( drink it) But in the morning on a empty stomach, squeeze lemon in water and drink it on a empty stomach first thing in the morning, it gives you energy!!

    Paul Mitchell is the worst for color fading and drying out the hair in my opinion.

    People try to pull this shit all the time to get out of paying. Like hairdressers don't work hard SMH

      Yes but I don't think that was her intention necessarily, I think she just didn't know what to expect for the end result and I didn't explain enough either. Definitely a learning experience! But yes your right, there are people who really do that intentionally.

  • @traceyfehn7840
    @traceyfehn7840 11 місяців тому

    bottom line... your still learning but market yourself as an expert.. hence the client expectation ... sorry I'm not trying to be mean/negative...just being honest. Your instincts were correct not to charge more because you needed to do more.. because it was your lack of experience with this particular service that led to the extra steps.I appreciate your ability to work your way out of a tough situation.. but toners at the end are not always the answer.. they wash out quick and only get the client out of your chair when you feel like you've had enough. not good for your business in the long run ! all the best to you!

      When a client has a $200 budget, you don’t do $400 work. It’s not lack of experience it’s lack of budget. I definitely don’t market myself as anything other than just a hairstylist. Her hair from starting to go grey was normally a dark red all over color that we would retouch and re fresh every 6 weeks. That’s why there’s so much yellow. And that service initially she only had her $200 budget to start going grey. There’s no way to pull that much red out with leaving no stains and not have to use toner.
