I love that a franchise based on a cold blooded assassin who always gets his man, doesn't take itself too seriously and has a lot of fun things to mess with in it's puzzlebox worlds
There is an Easter egg on Ambrose island. Also the x files exit in Germany and the mascot exit on Miami. Plus no one went and uploaded a kill em all in Colorado with the wickerman easter egg only since Bonom Nocte deleted his channel.
Ok, a lady catching on fire, and clapping along with her guards while there is a pool in front of her has to be one of the funniest game interactions I've ever seen.
At 6:51 there is another easter egg within the easter egg! The character sitting to the right is Lynch from the "Kane & Lynch" series. It's an EGGSCEPTION!
I like the scarecrow easter egg in the Colorado map in Hitman (2016). Once you shoot the four bells scattered around the map with a sniper rifle in the scarecrow costume from the water tower, every NPC will combust into flames as you pass them by
The easter egg from blood money I love the most and doesn’t get talked about a lot is the zombie one on the boat. Literally makes everyone mindless zombies that slowly move towards you, very wild
Absolution had a terrifying moment for me. On the first level there's a guard standing by the door to the greenhouse. I knocked him out and placed him in what I thought was a storage box. I went to take his clothes but failed to read the flavor text before I pushed the button. I suddenly heard machinery start up. I failed to notice I had placed him in a mulcher. I was terrified when I saw blood fly out of the machine. Normally I don't have any remorse when killing in a game (depending on the game) but I felt so horrible. Poor guy was ground into hamburger on accident while out cold.
The guy who stands at the window "It's NOT cancer?" That guy. I never kill him. I knock him out. Kill damn near everyone on that level. Not that one guy.
@@boxtank5288 Like no joke I swear I went white as a ghost. I grew up with Mortal Kombat but that caught me so off guard. I mean on the one hand they'll never find him now. The Hitman "weeping angels" easter egg could possibly be a reference to the actor Jon Pertwee who not only played Doctor Who (similar dress style as the scarecrow in the video, images of him in the suit if you search for "purple suit Jon Pertwee doctor who") but also played a scarecrow character called Worzel Gummidge in 1979.
Ah i wish that was tru because thats such a good observation, but I know as a big hitman freak that the scarecrow is wearing the same outfit as this weird arms dealer/clown from the first game… ivan’s his name… maybe?
@@wmj1860 he's Doctor Who in the credits of all of the classic series episodes that i've seen thus far. i'm up to Tom Baker, so it was certainly true during Jon Pertwee's tenure. it's funny to call him Doctor Who now that he's just called the Doctor, but it's not incorrect - especially when talking about the classic era
One Easter egg that I like is in Hitman: Blood Money. After completing the mission “Flatline”, the newspaper that details what happened in the mission has an ad for the Cheung Chau fish restaurant from Codename 47. It also advertises dishes that named after people in the Hong Kong missions (eg Zun’s Noodle Feast and Deep Fried Red Dragon Feet)
In bloodmoney, in that same mission, if you stand around the dance square for a while, 47 will find a partner and dance. I also seem to remember 47 bobbing his head or something if you do the same in the slaughterhouse in contracts. In absolution, if you take too long to kill him in that same mission, he conjures a golden gun out of that tree. Theres more stuff i cant recall.
My favorite Easter egg is in Bloodmoney on the Louisiana riverboat level where you can turn it into a zombie survival scenario. On the main deck you start at go around to the middle of the boat, there is a set of stairs and a guard at the top. To the left is the door to the balcony above the engine room. You need 2 bodies, you have to dispose of the bodies over the left and right rails of the engine room balcony. Once you do that, all of the NPCs will turn into zombies, they will enter a Body dragging animation and hunt you down and attack you with their fists(even if they have a weapon they will only use their fists). It is so much fun and actually pretty hard to survive, I only ever do that level with this little Easter egg.
The Hokkaido Japan map in hitman 1 has a Godzilla Easter egg similar to the cockroach and kraken. You have to start as the ninja and climb on the roof. Then walk in a specific path and Godzilla will appear
In the first Watch Dogs, Aiden will wipe his phone screen in the rain. In Hitman 2, on The Ark Society mission, after a certain amount of kills with the knight armor guards with the armor will spawn.
There's also an achievement called Spade Knight for knocking out 10 NPCs with the shovel while in the knight armor. Pretty cool to reference an indie game like that
The Hitman and Call of Duty Easter egg videos have been very cool, Hoping for you to mention more games. Like Halo, or others. This is an interesting series that could get cool, along with Assasins Creed and etc.
The woman on fire is meta and super hilarious. Its a joke at the juxtaposition between "You've achieved a puzzle in a hitman game so you get rewarded with a successful kill" VS the thought from one writer; "Yeah, but there's a pool RIGHT THERE"... so instead they reward you with the best round of applause for being so stupid you didn't dive into a pool... Comedy gold!
I like the one from HITMAN - Season 1 where you ring some bells in the Colorado level, and suddenly whenever you are close to any enemy or NPC, they will start catching fire, and burning! Pretty hilarious and fun, if you try to kill everyone in a level, without even touching them.
Great video, one you didn’t mention that is a good one is the ninja one in Hokkaido. With a very, very specific walking pattern, a Kaiju paper robot is activated
I know this is a common easter egg, but in Stray, after finding Doc, you need to inspect the Defluxor and Doc says the 1.21 gigawatts reference to Back to the future.
To add to the Stray/Back to the Future comments, Doc’s son, whilst being called Seamus, is wearing an orange body warmer and his hat seems to be of the same colour changing material as Marty’s cap in BttF2.

Now get the blackmailer (who is also wearing the mascot suit) up to the PALLAS demonstration. Scan the flamingo photo and make sure the blackmailer is down range. Fun fact: even though 47 is wearing the flamingo suit, PALLAS will not target you. Also Robert and Sierra will always recognize you as trespassing. Bonus: scan the flamingo photo after PALLAS executes the blackmailer.
Well, In that Nuke easter egg lies another easter egg as when you shoot the nuke and it cuts to the three people chilling out, you see Lynch from Kane and Lynch on the far right. Balding, long hair, sunglasses.
Hey Eggcelent, I have an ee to tell you. I wouldn't mind a little shoutout in ur next vid. In the new game Stray, the robot named Seamus is wearing Marty McFly's outfit from the future. You will talk to him in The Slums Part 2 and in the Sewers you can find Doc and he looks like Doc Brown. The weapon that destroys the Zurks is also called the Defluxor, a ref to the flux capacitor which also requires "1.21 gigowatts". These are Back to the Future references of course. Anyway, keep up the great work Captian!
Hey Cap, so allow me to explain the coin shooting Easter Egg. Often times in games an Easter Egg will be triggered by doing a random series of actions and in a game with guns, often by shooting something small or hidden. The clapping men is sarcasm at its best. It's IOI going "oh wow, great job, you're so clever for seeing that and knowing to shoot it, bravo". So the clapping is patronising, but it also does count as a traditional reward for doing random things, so it works both ways.
Thats cool, do you know what they are sayin? Im swedish and I dont hear anyone saying "1,2,3 Hi mom hi dad" (on swedish or danish) all I can hear is "Vaa faaaan" haha.
I've been recently playing Killing Floor 2 as the new Tidal Terror mode released a little while ago alongside a new map. I managed to actually find an Easter egg I have yet to see you cover! If you go down to the hospital level of the rig you will find on one side of the room a skinned man on a operating table, and coming out of his chest is what looks to be a chest burster from Alien. Love your videos and am always looking forward to the next release, with the hopes that my Easter egg may be featured in one! ♥️
I actually created the Hitman III Easter Eggs fandom page and put most of them there. The other fine people that work on the pages also added some and reorganized the page.
Gotta be honest, when I saw the ice cream truck in the desert,my mind immediately thought of sweet tooth from twisted metal,as sweet tooth is known for driving around in his hellish ice cream truck As for why you have to shoot the vulture to trigger the trucks spawning,I have no clue 5:41
if anything the scarecrow Easter egg would probably be a better reference for the Doctor who episode "The Family of Blood" (2007) where at the end the doctor suspended on of the villain's in time, and hides him inside a scarecrow to watch over the fields of England for all eternity.
I have owned this game since 2005 and today, on December 28th, 2022, after around 17 years, I managed to enter this room. I am very happy that I was finally able to open the door.
2005 wow... that's a long time... I have known the game since 2010 when a classmate handed me the DVD so I could install it on my PC. I guess it was Hitman 2.
Captain you really need to check out stray (free on PS4 plus). Lots of details including youre favourite pool table one (yess the pool balls roll down and are collected at the end/side of the table) and a funny one with a bag on the cats hat that messes with your controls. And Just found another one: if you walk trough Paint, you Will leave footsteps behind
The underwear guys ran up and I was like “Is that Carlson Smith?” 😂 Man is everywhere. I had to google him, as I have only played the WOA trilogy but I love how often you can find him.
I always assumed the scarecrow was a reference to Live and Let Die, where Bond's treacherous CIA contact is shot dead by a scarecrow with CCTV cameras for eyes and a gun in its mouth.
While the nuclear explosion is happening, the man with sunglasses sitting on the far right is Lynch, from Kane and Lynch. Who is also in one of the levels at a shooting range
the coin scene might be a reference to a bit in Sim Copter where on Friday the 13th, a bunch of clapping men in spedo's will spawn and follow your character around
A cool one I noticed in Hitman 3, it wasn’t anything big or funny but it was reference to the office. In the mission Apex Predator one of the challenges was called “How the turntables”. I thought that was really cool.
Kane & Lynch from another IO Interactive IP is another big Easter Egg in Hitman Absolution which was popular at the time. Kane appears near the entrance door in the bar fight level. Lynch is in the shooting range on the far right on the level where you get your Silverballers back. At 6:53 in this video Lynch is on the far right of the screen inside the nuke eater egg also
Hitman: Absolution has another funny easter egg in the Shangri-La level when you turn on the music in the disco room, the cops enter and dance while smoking pot.
The Easteregg at Hitman 4, woman at the pool, if you don't stand on the diving board, the woman will run over it and do a jump in the pool. And you forgot the zombie easter egg in the mississippi ship level. That was kinda cool.
(4:02) U N D E R C L A P. (4:46) Yayyy we hated her anyway (6:46) nuclear shot. (8:17) argumenting, him: (no) YOU *shoots cutely). (10:50) H U R R I C - M O O S E MAKER. (11:44) D O L P H I N MAN. (11:56) 3….2…….1….LET THE BOTTLE BLAST OFF!”
The thumbnail reminds me of a substory i did yesterday in yakuza 5. Your character gets a interview for a job. After answering questions you get moved into a room where the boss and his bodyguards are in underwear asking you to take pictures. But some talk later you fight them. The whole series is silly af.
Theres another Easter egg exit on the Berlin level, if u go to the side of the building and look for an space ship graffiti, theres a number there which u can use at the payphone at the gas station near the entrance of the lvl. Once u interact with the payphone you will be beamed up by a ufo.
Scarecrow was from Live and let die, they had cameras in the eyes and the heads followed you, though the ones in the movie had guns in their mouths because Bond film.
Great video. In the Hitman Absolution sniper challenge; there's a good few Easter eggs. A notable one being the illusive man in black suit only featured in Hitman 2
At the end of the last hitman 3 mission if you wait long enough before picking up the serum, 47 gets the option to inject himself and some cool stuff happens.
Some other notable Easter eggs I found: Blood Money: In the “A House of Cards” level, if you go into any hotel room and look at the TV screen, you will see the text “FCK HURRA”. This is a reference to the Danish football team. Absolution: In the “Shaving Lenny” level, look for the humping dogs in the corner of the back yard. Hitman 2: “Another Life” level. After you kill Janus, go down to the basement of his house, walk up to the big portrait of him on the wall and point your pistol at his face. You will see a pair of eyeballs appear that will follow the movement of your weapon.
Also in the first level of Hitman 2 when one of the bodyguards steps out for a bathroom break, try zooming in on his "area" and you'll see what someone went through the extra trouble of coding into the game....
Codename 47 has several easter eggs, however many are designed for a Danish speaking audience. For instance, the letters FCK are spread around the game which is a reference the Copenhagen's biggest football club. There's even newspapers stating the FCK has beaten a fictional team called Bundby. This a reference to rival club, Brøndby. In Danish, "Brønd" means a well, whereas "Bund" means "bottom" as in at the bottom. Another example is the patients at the asylum who keep saying, "Ag ge mam?", which a reference to a late 90's Danish comedy sketch in which one of the characters keep asking whether or not certain things are food while pronouncing it like a toddler would. Also, the scarecrow from Hitman 2 is wearing the clothes of Ivan, a character from Codename 47.
Hey Captain Eggcelent idk if you already uploaded this but I just found out some details in resident evil 6 yes it's an old game from I think 2013... Anyway about the details, you can use either Chris's Story or Jake's Story. At the end of the final chapter where the 2 group meet, you can choose teammates at the elevator for example there's a conversation for Chris and Jake if they're in the same elevator same with Sherry and Piers. 2nd there's also a conversation if you put Sherry and Chris in the same elevator. 3rd well Chris and Piers obviously because they're teammates :) Again idk if you already uploaded this but hey it's worth for pointing out :)
idk, i think the best easter egg in hitman 2 is the pink army. you have to find a flamingo disguise for yourself, then get a picture of the flamingo mascots, which can be found just outside the race entrance. after that, you have to find someone wearing a flamingo costume and knock them out. you need to drag them up to the android demo room in the kronstadt building where ylu can scan the flamingo pic on the android's facial recognition system. it will then kill the unconscious flamingo mascot. after this, EVERYONE on the map will be wearing a flamingo disguise, giving you the achievement "pink army".
One other fantastic Blood Money easter egg is the guards doing the dance in the white house. I think you throw a suitcase at a fireplace to trigger it by the oval office maybe

Love your videos and am always looking forward to the next release, with the hopes that my Easter egg may be featured in one! ♥️
I actually created the Hitman III Easter Eggs fandom page and put most of them there. The other fine people that work on the pages also added some and reorganized the page.
Gotta be honest, when I saw the ice cream truck in the desert,my mind immediately thought of sweet tooth from twisted metal,as sweet tooth is known for driving around in his hellish ice cream truck
As for why you have to shoot the vulture to trigger the trucks spawning,I have no clue 5:41
its a reference to the book holes
also it's a way for the devs to be like "well you took out our way to kill the target so we'll spawn a new one"
6:50-no one's gonna die
Hitman shooting the nuke:okay pal
if anything the scarecrow Easter egg would probably be a better reference for the Doctor who episode "The Family of Blood" (2007) where at the end the doctor suspended on of the villain's in time, and hides him inside a scarecrow to watch over the fields of England for all eternity.
Note that you can get the commander uniform from any red beret guard in marrakesh
This is one of the greatest series ever, no assassin is quite like Agent 47. Not even the beloved John Wick, 47 is the boat and the goat all in one.
You missed the other exit in Miami that requires the mascot costume at the helipad.
Kane & Lynch from another IO Interactive IP is another big Easter Egg in Hitman Absolution which was popular at the time.
Kane appears near the entrance door in the bar fight level.
Lynch is in the shooting range on the far right on the level where you get your Silverballers back.
At 6:53 in this video Lynch is on the far right of the screen inside the nuke eater egg also
I’m surprised to not see the Sniper Challenge in this video. It had Easter eggs, most notably the stripper one.
Hitman: Absolution has another funny easter egg in the Shangri-La level when you turn on the music in the disco room, the cops enter and dance while smoking pot.
6:53 that is Lynch at the far right, from the game Kane and Lynch, which was also developed by Io Interactive
The moving scarecrow could be a nod to Jeepers Creepers the murderous scarecrow by chance
I gotta recommend showing some of the easter eggs in "Stray", it's a great and detailed game
Heard it has a Back to the Future reference too.
I hope Ambrose Island has some good Easter eggs, not much longer before we find out, can't wait!
Theres another Easter egg exit on the Berlin level, if u go to the side of the building and look for an space ship graffiti, theres a number there which u can use at the payphone at the gas station near the entrance of the lvl. Once u interact with the payphone you will be beamed up by a ufo.
The nymber is the year X-Files started.

Guard: No one going to di...
One of my all time favorite game franchises. I've put more hours into them than I care to count.
Some other notable Easter eggs I found:
Blood Money: In the “A House of Cards” level, if you go into any hotel room and look at the TV screen, you will see the text “FCK HURRA”.
Disappointed you didn't pick Terminator 2 reference with Shotgun for Codename 47 and Dopefish in Silent Assassin
"No ones gunna die"
Hitman: You sure about that buddy
6:50 😂😂😂
Weeping angels didn't invent the idea of "thing turns to look at you when you don't look at it." That idea has existed before even computers existed.
Would love to see a video of this style for the Gears of War series. Some of my favorites games and plenty of fun and great easter eggs! :)
I remember the lambent chicken Easter egg in three
Or Marcus aggressively screaming who wants toast haha that was my favorite one maybe
I love how that Easter egg implies the most advanced thing the locust took from humans was a toaster but I think he covered it already
That dancing soldiers Easter egg is literally the funniest thing I've seen on a game 😂
In Stray, While in midtown. You can find a bot named Sojiro, who used to own a bar “Until he took a screwdriver in the knee, and now it’s closed”
Also, the scarecrow from Hitman 2 is wearing the clothes of Ivan, a character from Codename 47.
in the hitman contracts easter egg, you can actually snap the neck of the ghost and drag him around, seeing as it's just a re-modeled NPC.
3rd well Chris and Piers obviously because they're teammates :)
Again idk if you already uploaded this but hey it's worth for pointing out :)
Fallout Elder Scrolls and Halo are all excellent franchises for this type of video. Hell for Fallout you might need to pick 3 per entry
Inanimate objects looking at you when you turn your back is been a thing long way before Doctor Who
There's a nice easter egg to a fellow famous pirate in the new Ambrose Island map
That is one. There's another.
In HITMAN II, Hawkes Bay you can step on the scale and it reads 46.0
😂
idk, i think the best easter egg in hitman 2 is the pink army. you have to find a flamingo disguise for yourself, then get a picture of the flamingo mascots, which can be found just outside the race entrance. after that, you have to find someone wearing a flamingo costume and knock them out. you need to drag them up to the android demo room in the kronstadt building where ylu can scan the flamingo pic on the android's facial recognition system. it will then kill the unconscious flamingo mascot. after this, EVERYONE on the map will be wearing a flamingo disguise, giving you the achievement "pink army".
Hitman is full of strange eastereggs and I love it^^
I miss the easteregg with the toycar exit, that one is hilarious^^
20 years later we still discovered something new in these games, wow amazing
One other fantastic Blood Money easter egg is the guards doing the dance in the white house. I think you throw a suitcase at a fireplace to trigger it by the oval office maybe
an easter egg I spotted in hitman 2016: in the “Play Room” in the freedom fighters mission you can see someone playing kane and lynch 2 on the tv
The scarecrow is nothing like a weeping angel not only is it not a statue of any kind but it moved while observed
