Whattt! Just when am a sucker for learning more about this promising tool you came along to bring light! This is mind blowing! Please share as much as you like, we’re with you on this new chapter!!!!!! ✌️ Thanks!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, a link to have access to the beta version! You’re the man!!!!!!
Gravity Sketch in my IPad does not reflect what you do with your beta version. I believe mine is the latest, however, I think yours is better because is just like Gravity Sketch in VR. Do you know why is different in my IPad. I’m waiting for your answer.
But you do know that Gravity Sketch has been floating around in the App Store since 2016? Unfortunately the last update (v1.2) was also in the same year and a few features don‘t work on iPadOS 14.x anymore. Nevertheless it‘s good to see they want to release a new version, because the old one is lacking a few crucial things.
This looks great! As you said using in meetings with clients/designers ideating is perfect. Just wondering can you export any of these 3dsketches & in what format types?
What about the planes feature? In the VR version you can add these planes that you then move around and warp to fit your shape. Well I guess It's probably not a feature on the iPad yet cause it's a Beta.
Re clients joining in the sketching... Is that something that happens frequently? and are those clients unusually savvy or is the software that easy to grasp? Seems like a really useful thing for them to be able to do but I can imagine our clients be super intimidated by the idea!
In the past, I’ve been an illustrator in ideation sessions with our clients. Even though the clients weren’t confident enough to sketch, I could show their ideas with pen and paper as they were discussing them. It’s going to be great to do that but in 3D!
If you used the link in the description then you’ve been put on the waiting list and they’ll make their way through and grant access to people asap, but it won’t be instantly I’m afraid
I really don't see the use of this app, not gonna lie. If I already had a well sketched reference before going into gravity sketch I'd rather take it into solidworks or shapr3d directly. Also what is the possible output files? From this Video only it looks like a big waste of time to me 🧐
This seems like an absolute waste of time lol. The only useful aspect of this, is that it's a 3D app on an iPad. Could have made the same shape in Creo in literally under 5 minutes....or spend hours in this app and have something I'll have to redrawn anyway. It's like creating an unnecessary middle man between sketching and CAD. Feels like this technology is being shoe horned into being "useful", but a nice gimmick for clients that have absolutely no idea.
I can see your point and someone who has used a well established app can create a model quicker than me with this beta. But this was my 5th model I’ve ever made in gravity sketch, and the beta program is only just beginning. I wonder what the modelling timescale would look like after using this app for a year or two, on top of feature developments as well
This software is great for making props, and clothing for your vrchat model. Just grateful that it works importing/exporting between Blender/unity.
Didnt expect to see gravitysketch here! Thanks for the introduction video! 👍🏻
Happy to help!
@@SamDoesDesign you're the best
Adding the option to create a surface between 2 lines would be interesting!

Haha I'm glad I could help!
I’ve been dreaming for a program like this!
The future is here!
This can be done in Blender 3D with the "grease pencil". The bonus: Blender will always be free.
Fantastic work, love this Sam!

Your general style and aesthetic are awesome and professional. Your videos are very useful. Underrated channel

when it’s the beta coming out for public download?
Any advances in the last year? Different apps perhaps? would like to know what's current

I’m not sure about files that will be in the final version yet. I guess we’ll have to see how the beta goes!
What about the planes feature? In the VR version you can add these planes that you then move around and warp to fit your shape. Well I guess It's probably not a feature on the iPad yet cause it's a Beta.
Maybe they’ll be looking to bring that in future versions. I’ll keep an eye out!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Where is the shoe sketch ?
Application site
Is this a new version coming out?, because the app hasn’t been updated in 5 years.
Is there any software like that for windows or android ???
Do you prefer this app over shapr3d? Also how does this compare to a desktop modelling app?
Hello Sam,
How to import 3d sketch from Gravity Ipad to Blender ?
Can’t wait to try it out. Thanks.
out yet ? would be great if they used the gyro
they removed moving the nodes from the ipad version.... im so mad wanted to use it so much in school
Hopefully it’ll be purchasable rather than another subscription!
quite revolutionary
You will get great split screen on los15
Hey Sam, do you think the base model ipad is good enough to do sketches like these?
Very cool
Awesome
Subscribed

Is designing is better than programming🤔
Once the full version is released, do you think you'll be making tutorial videos?
Maybe! I’ll be using it more and more as it gets refined for sure
I am waitting for January 25th ;))
One more reason to get an iPad... 🤔
Haha it’s very tempting 😅
i can show you how to get it cheap from apple/ or from Currys / Argos.
@@janosgyerman please tell me
Been saving up for it

Im curious, do you use a matte screen protector on your iPad or do you use a smooth one?
I use a Paperlike 2 screen protector
@@SamDoesDesign doesn't it wear down the nibs on your pencil real fast? I've been having that issue with mine
Yasssss
ありがとう!
What i have been looking for!!!
Highly recommend on Oculus Quest.
I’d love to try it out on the Quest but my eyesight doesn’t agree with VR haha
I thought the title was gravity "falls" lol😂
anyway good video😊
Haha I hope you enjoyed the video even though it wasn’t about Gravity Falls 😅
Yeah I did enjoy your video keep up like that

Update this
Extremely disappointed. I do not have toolbars on my iPad version that look anything like this. I really wanted to learn this.
👏
🙌
Hmm. Not for me
That's fair enough - there are plenty of apps out there for design and not all of them suit everyone
very complicated, very slow and without dimension control... better you use blender
You are so cute
too much talking
