- This is the kind of officer that makes everyone around her look bad. Why does she feel like being rude and disrespectful is ok? Why can’t they just focus on their job and be respectable? This officers conduct was super unprofessional and uncalled for in my opinion.

Soliciting a trespass is a crime.
Let's not call it crime scene tape when it is used as camera tape. If it were a crime scene the tape would have already been put up. Improperly using crime scene tape to violate someone's civil rights should be punishable with dismissal from the department.
What happens to all that yellow tape when they finish with it? Do they fill the shops rubbish bin, take it with them or does it become litter in the environment killing innocent wildlife and clogging waterways?

Some officers are not even remotely educated on the law, then run around with a gun, and a taser, and put out “officer needs assistance code 3 calls” like candy canes, and enforce stuff on innocent people and it makes the Chief actually have to get off his butt and train up a REAL cop. A Constitutional Cop that can do his/her job no matter how many cameras are on him, and no matter what any person says, he should be able to operate a task he would normally do period. They constantly act like people are gonna start attacking the cops with force, but it never happens. People with cameras are only there to document and they have the ability to speak whenever they want, DEAlL with it.
And if you did just deal with it the right way, maybe people wouldn’t be all up on you with so many cameras. But uneducated people that don’t even know the law, become a liability to the public. We CAN record from 10 to 20 ft back and we SHOULD. If everyone’s on the up and up, cameras hold the truth. Leave the peoples ability to record ALONE!
Good decision by the owner to allow the media in. Those cops are shutting down or at least reducing operation of the business for hours, and you know they don't care if the restaurant stays afloat. If you asked them, they'd say they're just investigating a crime, as if that excuses ruining the livelihood of others.

Seriously though, even at the $10-12 you can get a roll for in bulk (box of 8 1000’ rolls-$92 on one site)…at the rate they blow through it, it’s surely not cheap. I’d imagine there’s average-sized PD’s that likely don’t go through even 5 boxes in a decade. The tape thing to keep these people away is truly a bizarre tactic…it looks incredibly petty and there’s simply no way to hide that either.
Why do fire fighters need to stay fit but not the police? They have a physical fitness test in the academy but afterwards they do not maintain fitness. Seems a foot chase or perhaps a physical scuffle or a rescue from a burning car would require them to be fit.
Fire fighters are mostly smart and help people in trouble. Pigs are mostly stupid and try to create trouble for people.

I just read an article about the stats for officer deaths. Ambushes are the lowest and I believe it was 2 nation wide. The highest death stat was Covid for 2021, not citizen shootings or car accidents, which used to be the highest death reason for cops.
