- Out with (EL zorro yiro) on our way to conduct a first amendment audit when we found undercover street cops and decided to do a cop watch instead! We found MASS Ignorance, coward police get shut down and someone gets booked!

If they have no warrant based on probable cause, they cannot search anything to begin with. If they claim "lawful" detainment then they're 100% lying since a detainment is a seizure, which can ONLY happen with a WARRANT based on probable cause. Read the 4th Amendment.

A word of wisdom, if the police are talking to you, consider them the enemy. Give them as little info as you can, and evaluate their questions as the conversation progresses.

@@billpii6314 Yes, I agree with you 92% of the time. It really depends on how often you are required to work in collaboration with LEO's. I work somewhere that has a daily problem with the homeless. That requires me to know and be on good terms with the local cops. If they were to respond to a call where I'm involved, I can't just treat them as I would cops from another city. It gets complicated when you have to use them as a resource.

I was just thinking pretty much the same thing. For sake of argument let's say this stop was 100% legit. What good are they doing for society as a whole? How does screwing up these kids lives do you or I any good or make us safer? It's bloody pathetic. A good portion of why I walked away from the profession.

Natural Law - our inherent rights given by the Creator - are evident and if written by mankind, redundant. The main point of Natural Law is ’No person can give away authority to any other person because every single person is completely responsible for their own direct actions’. It doesn’t matter if 5 million people sign a piece of paper as fancy and official as they want no one has the authority to endow authority to another. It’s like saying, “I’m giving away my karma.” Somebody who hires somebody to commit murder is still guilty of murder. So if we fool ourselves into believing any human can be responsible for our personal freedoms, actions, decisions, then we have given away all our power while still fully responsible for all outcome. And of course, a Council is practical for small disputes and guidance with the wisdom of past lessons learned.
All this to say if this was taught in schools and homes by all humankind, the freedom and the responsibility given to each individual would be an incredible step forward in enriching all lives, human and otherwise. We could spend our energy on solving the problems of the helpless and troublemakers and such without losing our freedoms, or paying income tax, etc., yet pursuing happiness, personal goals and more.
I state this solely for the purpose of educating the populace of how the world actually works and anything outside this will always exact a price.

Every time she spoke I thought the same thing: Who are they protecting and serving in this situation? My local cops are awesome for the most part (obviously I can't speak for every officer but this is what I have witnessed). I have personally witnessed the Kansas City KS police department help multiple people. They dont show up and try to turn every situation into an arrest. I have seen them go out of their way to NOT arrest someone because the guy was in a rough situation.
The guy she said she loved was clearly a thug. No one dresses like that and is still a decent human being. Not to mention yeah it's fucked up how police do this shit to people. But as long as they're skin color is the same as the officers, no one cares about the victims.

Since when does officer safety include blocking cameras so nobody can see them plant evidence? They do a very thorough search of the vehicle (in violation of the fourth amendment), then go back to their vehicle, head back to the jeep, reach in, and find something for the evidence bag within a couple seconds. What happened here - they were caught doing an illegal search on the driver and the vehicle, so they needed to make an arrest to cover their asses - they planted evidence. Disgusting criminals.

Just watching the power these officers wield over what is (to me) a “kid” and his girlfriend. It’s truly saddening and a sober reminder of the power tripping so many of these officers seem to enjoy. @@ObservationofLimits It's because he didn't have ID on him. So assuming the rest of the stop is legit, which it probably isn't, if you can't produce State issued ID they take you in to ID you. The ID process varies state to state but that's the gist of it.

The supreme court had ruled that 10 feet from an incident is sufficient space! A Cop wearing a vest with police on it, negates any under cover identity rules. They are obliged to give their full name and ID number, on request!
No court “ruling” it may have been discussed as good distance but no official legal set distance set.

It’s more than abolishing qualified immunity. We need an actual separate oversight board to investigate complaints and incidents. One that can hand out proper punishment and submit charges to a prosecutor and judge that are not part of the courts the cops work in.
We also need a dishonorable discharge for cops. You get fired, you become a felon equivalent like the military.
Furthermore, cops need to be individually bonded/insured. Lawsuits need to come out of their pensions and personal assets. But with that, we also need a system that protects the honest cops that will arrest / report fellow pigs breaking the law.
Lastly, they should have no ability to stop their cameras. It should all be publicly available within 24 hours of their shift ending. The 24 hours is to review any bathroom breaks AND insert flags for each interaction with the relevant information (so it’s searchable by cop, day, other cops on same call).
Defunding or abolishing the police will not result in anything good.
