These are the kind of officers that make everyone else around them look bad. Why do they feel like they can behave like this? These officers conduct ALMOST became criminal in nature had they made contact with me while i was recording their activity.

@Ivan DUI conviction is a punishment in itself. Besides the fines, ignition devices, mandatory classes to attend, other cost, the person doesn't get a break unless they can hire a private expensive lawyer to reduce the charge to a minor moving violation which is a miracle in most cases.

If anything the last 4 to 5 years have taught me is nobody remembers high school history, or World War II. All I'm gonna say is I've never heard of Police ANYWHERE stopping illegal governmental infringements on human rights.
I have heard of a few officers who have stopped beatings or the planting of evidence or who witnessed either and turned on their fellow officers but then they at a minimum have to change departments. Most of the time it appears to be career ending. They are the exception that proves the rule.

It is so common. We are taught to follow the rules and do whatever authority figures tell you to do. And that advice leads you to losing your rights and in more trouble than you can believe. Because those authority figures do not know how to properly perform their jobs and are doing more harm than any actual good. I now believe and know just because they tell you to do something doesn’t mean it is right or legal. I have learned the hard way by watching those in my community be victims way too many times when they are doing the right things or the things that they were told were the right things and still losing their lives, being maimed or jailed falsely. There is nothing like that wake up call. I answered it. Then, I saw that NONE of us are safe. It is not just a black and brown problem. It is an American problem. We all must do what we can to educate ourselves. Because it is a fact that we will need it one day. That we can count on.

This audit had a lot of drama in it. I enjoyed every moment of it. I am stunned that girl actually thought she was going to talk her way out of an arrest and gain brownie points with the cops by siding with them against you. That is some next level stupid. On the brighter side, while going through booking, talking to lawyers, court hearings, paying fines, trying to obtain excellent employment with an arrest/conviction record, dealing with the public humiliation of arrest and strip searches, she will get to reflect on the importance of standing on her rights like you tried to warn her. Never underestimate the power of a stupid person to injure themselves or others.

Depends. If her parents pay all costs and the biggest impact is sitting in jail for a few hours/overnight, she will probably still defend the police, because she will have felt very little impact, and her ego won't let her backtrack. But if this hits her without the mommy/daddy buffer, and all the consequences come to bear on her (court costs, legal costs, fines, social and professional impacts from having a record), those rusty gears might get turning.

They claim any public space as their own, tell you that you are not welcome here in the public space and threaten you for walking up to the officer to see his name since he refused to identify. This is shockingly unprofessional! I haven't watched any of the audits anywhere for quite some time. I am absolutely amazed at the difference you guys have made in about 6 months. When I stopped watching them the cops were still giving out major attitude and intimidation tactics. It's not just the camera it's the public overall. They've been taught to treat citizens like were " enemy combatants ".

There isn't body armor that protects bad cops against cameras.
Because the camera represents accountability. The video from an auditor/cop watch has a near-infinite better chance of actually showing up in court if a cop decides he wants to violate someones right or body.
They're terrified that because of a wrong decision that they could have denied and gotten away with and dismissed, will be the end of their careers and maybe their freedom because once it gets recorded there's no denying what they did.

That is exactly what cops need to hear, citizens that know the law and their rights and aren't afraid of the clowns who pretend to be good people with badges. They aren't. The young lady was flabbergasted at how you talked to them, she's one of the many who are too scared to exercise her rights and too dumb to understand you are there for her protection.
In other countries after you have committed a crime and paid your debt to society you are deemed a regular citizen with all available rights as the next citizen that have never (or never been caught) committed a crime. Get that expungement going as soon as you can. Love your chanel and keep up the great work!

I think she had already talked herself into an arrest before these guys arrived. When they arrived she was answering about having a vape pen then answered that it was not THC. I bet that right before that she admitted to having smoked earlier in the day. Plus the female officer arrived pretty quick so maybe the radio call that took place right after those questions was requesting a female officer on scene.

I think these cops where a bit on the dumb side and weren’t sure about how to proceed. They where already all giddy about being able to arrest a pretty young lady where they where hoping to get to know her a bit better back at the ol barracks.

I've had a roller coaster of views of cops. Grew up in a rough area so I hated them. Then as I became an adult I was all for them, then now in my late 20s that shit has flipped. They're not trying to be of help, they want to impede on your rights since most people dont know them and get you for anything they can. Cuz a cop that doesn't arrest anyone ever or tickets someone is viewed as a "bad cop" by their own.
I was considered a bad CO by others because I refused to write up inmates daily for petty crap. But my house became the calmest and most respectful, earning respect goes further then earning fear and hate.
