That's a fucking FACT. As a former MP, we had at that time access to PIN (Police Information Network) and NCIC (National Crime Information Center). If you got caught using either systems for nefarious reasons, you'd get smoked. That's a Field Grade Article 15 with reduction in rank and forfeiture of pay, and restriction, max is 45 days extra duty, 60 days restriction, reprimand, 1/2 base pay $$ for 2 months (for most Staff Sergeants for example is over 1500.00x2, reduction to Pvt or 1 rank if an NCO. Career ender for most.
Using law enforcement databases for personal use is also usually grounds for termination.

This dumb cop is holding up the driver way longer than the law allows. I would be very upset with her if she had stopped me and then left me to wait just because some people had cameras. If that is all it takes and then she can't function, she is not qualified to serve the public. Clearly she had enough backup. So, what's the problem? She is a liability to the department. No doubt about that. It is obvious that she is easily distracted, unprofessional, doesn't know the law, and as evidenced by Direct D getting his work trailer illegally towed petty and retaliatory.

Unfortunately, that will never happen. It's blatantly obvious to me that the Mesa Chief of Police, his Captains and Lts all agree with her type of behavior. Else they would see this kind of misconduct and discipline the COPS responsible for it (IE her). Since they don't, the only conclusion possible is that they approve of the constant lawlessness of their COPS.

Mesa pd broke 4 of my ribs in a traffic stop while I was riding my bicycle in a case of mistaken identity and they never apologized. I didn't file a complaint because I knew they would retaliate every chance they had. And the prosecutors and judges are just as corrupt. The blue line gang is out of control.
