Guess what! I'm the "1950 Bobby" going out in the Course Car at 1.53 minutes into the video. This was one hell of an experience. Was gutted not to gave met you Dom. I was Volunteering all 3 days so hard to get around everywhere. Great work. Keep it up 👍👌
Dom congratulations for getting the ride in that GT40. Thankyou to the owner. I don't think Dom will ever wipe that grin off his face. Absolutely joy to watch and listen to that engine. I never understood how huge the Austin J40 following is till now.
When I was growing up it was my dream car, always dreamed of having one. Alas I could never afford one and now I'd never be able to get in one. When it came out it was something from another planet. Dom's face, an absolute picture.
Gosh Dom'! Haven't been for 10 + years . The last time was a book signing with Sir Stirling ......He was far more interested in looking at Jo' than l . Jo was a very atractive alternative , he always loved the ladies ! If l 'm correct , that GT40 was a "road going" version of the racer made in Swirzerland and possibly a one off. I saw it in "CAR" magazine in around 1966 . Thanks Dom'
Glad you had a great time! Last year, we felt super lucky to meet you, Joby and Dan at Revival. You are our first 'celeb' to appear in one of our videos!
I can see a sombrero in your future Dom. Mexican actor indeed. 🤣🤣 Thank you for another amazing video. Having managed to work my way through your entire YT back catalogue over the last month or so, I am now totally hooked and can't wait for each weekly update.
1967 MkIII GT40. To qualify for Group 4 Ford had to build 50 Mk1 GT40's. As they didn't expect to receive orders for 50 race cars they offered a road going version as an option. 31 were made. In 1967 new US safety laws came into effect. Ground clearance, headlight heights, exhaust emissions etc of the Mk1 road version did not comply. Ford therefore commissioned the MkIII. While the MkI's were a race car with slight tweaks to meet road legaity, the MkIII was more civilzed. Foam was injected into the double walled chassis cavities as sound deadening for example. The rear end is stretched to allow quieter mufflers than would fit in the MkI (MkIII is 265mm longer). Optional extras included tinted glass, a radio, cassette player, air-conditioning and even a TV. They were sold for $18,500 ($2000 more than the MkI) and Ford probably lost money on them as only 7 were sold.
Great video, love a GT40 but just love the whole Revival, Great to chat with you briefly on Sunday, looking forward to the next video, keep up the good work
Hi Dom, isn't "click bait" a wonderful thing? "I was driven around the track". There was a GT40 at the Ford Motor Company Trade School in Harold Hill, Romford. Clearly, it wasn't valued at 8m pounds in 1972, but wow! Distant memories of the Austin J40. Driving one around the children's ward at St Andrews Hospital, Billericay, Essex (the hospital long since re-purposed).
Great video! We spotted you there I think Saturday but you were on the move and I didn’t want to hold you up! A lovely ride around the track in the GT40. That guy was having too much fun and broke it loose every time he rolled out onto the track, ha!
Good to meet you again on the Friday, such a shame about the weather, looks like it cleared up a bit over the weekend. Definitely coming down next year, fingers crossed for good weather...
Sweet, you got to go around the track in a super car! Thanks for taking us all along, awesome, loved the event, looks like a lot of people did too, and your outfit looked great, looking forward to next years get together, thanks again Dom!
One thing Dom ( you jammy s*d for cadging a ride!) ; you didn't comment on the absolute classic beauty of the GT40, and the forty is for the Roof Height, in inches, and one of the most gorgeous sports cars ever designed, independent of it's race history !
Fantastic video. Loved watching you going around the racecourse, the faster you went, the bigger your smile. Lovely looking around as well. Thank you for taking us along with you. 😃
The UK, Land of Mushy Peas and Queues. It's like Japan, where everyone stays in their assigned lane... Now go back and give the Porsche some love, poor things been neglected... 😢👍
Woah, your driver kept so cool. What a treat that was. I really didn't get as much from Revive and Thrive as I wanted too...I guess that means we'll have to come back! Thank you Dan for a really great video.
Being at Goodwood,cool! Riding in a GT40,very cool…meeting Dita…doesn’t get any better!!
Dom comes across as a thoroughly nice, approachable guy. No matter who he's talking to he is a total gent. Top man.
That’s very kind, thank you
We met him last year at Revival and confirm he's exactly as you hope!
Great video of Goodwood Revival 2024! We enjoyed the event, just not the weather!

Great episode Dom.

I am so grateful it was a mega ride!
When I was growing up it was my dream car, always dreamed of having one. Alas I could never afford one and now I'd never be able to get in one. When it came out it was something from another planet. Dom's face, an absolute picture.
Excellent little film Dom. One of your best.
Glad you enjoyed it thank you
The boyish look of glee and excitement on Dom's face was a joy to behold on that GT40 lap.
Tune in this week to watch Dom the Mexican Actor! LOL!
You got to meet Dita Von Teese, you lucky boy!
She was a very nice lady!
Wow! I'm from Germany and I've been to Goodwood two times. Your video brings me back to that spirt imdedately. Thank you very much.
Watching your interaction with all those people is the best part of the video, but the grin from ear to ear in the GT40 was also great.

Love to to see Ivan, the master
The ride around the track must have been the icing on the cake for the weekend.
That was fun and loved the GT40 ride. More of the same please 🙏 👍👏
That gt40 sounds glorious all 8 cylinders working to full power 👍👍👍
Yes indeed!
The induction noise on that GT-40 👌
Love the J40 Smokey Yunick tribute car! Black and gold is a great color!
As I was watching the video I was thinking that dressing up like Smokey would be fun, and then coincidentally he showed that tribute car.
@@stuartstephens It was ironic that they used a Smokey Yunick tribute car to illustrate the rules applied to the J40s
Great video as always - well I haven't actually watched it yet, but know it will be great! 🙂
That was amazing - dear me!
I think the idea of commenting, is you watch the video, then you comment…maybe it’s just me?
@@cliveturner4788 ;-)
Had another great day at Goodwood, we did pop over to see you guys.
Dita Von Teese on the repair shop.....
Great stuff, smiling like a cheshire cat in the GT!
My 23rd year this year! Can’t beat it,
Despite the rain, it looks like you had a fantastic day, Dom! 😃
It was!
Awesome video Dom. Thank you so much for sharing your day .
First time going this year, went on the Saturday, really enjoyed it great atmosphere and some fantastic racing 🏁 🏎

Love the rigorous checks from the pedal car guy, 50 years wow
Thank you Dom for sharing the Goodwood revival with us.
Hi Dom. Now that was an excellent show so much to see & do.
Well done for an excellent video & nnice trip in the GT40. Take care
Amazing video Dom loved watching your face in the GT40 I would have been the same. So many nice people thank you for sharing your time at Goodwood🥰
Thanks for sharing your projects, and your passions
What a ride in the GT40, that car means business. 🙂 I'd love to attend some day, with so many things going on it almost seems like a sensory overload.
I hope you make it next year!
Great video Dom u looked so happy glad you had a fantastic time. Love the smile on your face
Well done Dom That was great to watch
So jealous, all those cars, bikes and Dita. I'll be researching the 2025 weekend now.
Some day I hope to go to that epic event!👍🏼👍🏼thanks for sharing…
Dom is going to be hiring a J40 driver soon, and deciding on a livery theme as well.
Brilliant video!!!!!
Thank you!
Great video, love a GT40 but just love the whole Revival, Great to chat with you briefly on Sunday, looking forward to the next video, keep up the good work

You spoke with Dita!! Such a wonderful woman. I was hoping you might catch up with more of the women (some sewing bee women) in their awesome outfits.
Living the life! Nicely done…
Brilliant!

Great video Dom , enjoyed the tour around Goodwood and the things you showed and talked about 👍
Really enjoyable video Dom. I want to go
Jon is going to love that Checklist 😂
I haven’t showed him yet 😬
@DominicChineas it's alright. He won't have watched this video
I went to your website to find that coffee cup, and was gravely disappointed. Dom, I want the ameliorator merch!
It was a present somebody gave to me!
Amazing to think that a new Ford GT40 was around £7,000 back in 1965. Quite an investment, IF you had £7k in 1965!
Sunday def had the best weather, I went Friday and got soaked. Gave Joby a nod in the Tyrrell shed but didn't manage to see anyone else.
So good Dom. Looks like you had a ball.
Lovely video Dom.👍👍
Nice variety of skills, very good video,👏👏👏👏👍🏻🤠
What a day!!!
Thanks for the tour, enjoyed it
Great video, brilliant
Cool video. Never been but looks like fun and it is nearby so I should go next time!
Great video Dom!
I can't even believe those women didn't know about "The Repair Shop"
Funny to see a bunch of Brits role playing as American Cowboys
cheers Dom
Brilliant!!!

Wow, didn’t realise you’d just got a Harley! I hope I wasn’t a bad influence on you the other week! 😂
No sorry I meant the triumph!! I wish I had a Harley!
Shame we didn't see Dom exit from the GT40. Might have been an amusing struggle!
Despite the smile there was a look of terror in the GT40 😂
Great video Dom! Your reactions to the lap in the car were something else. It was great to see the utter enjoyment on your face 😊

We have finished filming now, so I will have more time to get stuck into it!
@@DominicChineas Sure, you keep saying that, but we know the pedal car will pull you away once more! 😁
Such a fun video. Thanks Dom
👍👊
Hi Dom, Haven't enjoyed things for a while 😅 many thanks, All the best Brian 😃
52 mph looks fast on the camera, probably cos the car is low to the ground 😊
Must just be the loud exhaust!!
Woah, your driver kept so cool. What a treat that was.
I really didn't get as much from Revive and Thrive as I wanted too...I guess that means we'll have to come back!
Thank you Dan for a really great video.
What the heck was that #124 Jaguar carrying?
I had a shirt like that, Dom, only the yellow bits either side were vomit from a night out.
Bought another bike then Dom ?
Hey Dom why not try out to become a Mexican actor!!😂😂
Mexican actor.... 😂😂😂😂
🥲Dom, you didn't show the J40 pedal car race. Or people on the RANALAH. GT40 is also one of my most favorite cars.
