I became 10 years younger while listening to this 🔥💯
And now you're 12
Damn, you just missed the height of metalcore then. It was a pretty cool time.
@@4stringed 2
20 for me
For real
Honestly this sounds like what would happen if All That Remains and As I Lay Dying had a baby and I'm here for it.
All That I Lay
@@saidoterodiseno all that I lay is your mom
All remains dying. A bit depressing maybe haha
All That Lay Dying
@@Habixus MAN someone pls make this real
I could definitely hear the influence of Killswitch, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, and Bullet For My Valentine all over this. Good Stuff!
I think maybe because they are metalcore bands 🤔 that’s may be why this sounds related . I could be wrong though
Alternate Title:
"If *Killswitch Engage & As I Lay Dying* had a baby"
you forgot Trivium, it was a treesome, lol
That mix is insanely good 10/10
This video literally saves me from listening to endless djenty rhythm and brings me back to the good ol' days! Loving it!
"Yes officer, he’s doing it again"
God this style of metalcore was the best 😭 wish more bands still wrote music like this today
Check out Call Of The Awakened then!
@@mikehawkisb1g dude. Fucking amazing suggestion. I just listened to a little bit of them and they’re great
Check out Dying Wish!
They do, that style is actually not metal core but gothenborg metal and melodic death metal, back from mid 90s.. for some strange reason people nowadays just believe that it is metalcore?!?
@@VargVinter I know it originated there, I LOVE melodeath, Character by Dark Tranquility is one of my favorite albums and In Flames are my favorite band of all time, their 90s output is legendary. The torch was passed on to early-mid 00s metalcore and that's what I grew up with so although melodeath pioneered it, when I was a young'un, I heard it first in Killswitch Engage and the like, and I want more of it! We're getting a Melodeath Resurgence as we speak so I don't need to wish for that!
0:45 is my type of style playing stuff like that is so smooth
I love the riffs because they are influenced by melodic death metal.. Legendary bro!
isn't oldschool metalcore the influence for melodeath? though melodeath riffs are basically just the first two riffs of this video, the gallop and no breakdowns
@@GATHUGHDxD Nah, melodeath came first, and was more inspired by Iron Maiden-style traditional heavy metal. This 2000s style metalcore was in turned super heavily inspired by melodeath's style of riffing, especially Slaughter of the Soul. It's just mixed with more groove, breakdowns, and somewhat more hardcore style drumming
@@SuffyANX that album is early 90s not 2000s
@@RyanREAX Slaughter of the Soul is, but the metalcore that it inspired is primarily from the 2000s, which is what I was referring to.
@@GATHUGHDxDthere's a reason why the genre is called Melodic Metalcore (metalcore influenced by melodic death metal) - all the old big metalcore bands of 2000s were this
mans just uploaded a Bullet for My Valentine song and expected us not to notice
That guitar absolutely rips in Drop C
You know what makes it so cool? That while you're kind of making fun of the genre's redundant character, the song is actually really good and I'd be happy to put it on my daily playlist :) Laughing and headbanging at the same time, cheers
usually videos like this are a little *too* stereotypical (while still entertaining), but these riffs felt really original, and genuinely slap. great vid!
Amazing playing and riffs. Love it
Man at 29 years old hearing these takes me back to playing in horrible bands just trying our best to rip off TDWP and Miss May I back in 2009. God I miss those days!
was waiting for a BLEUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
You may have accidentally written the greatest metalcore song ever!!!
As an old school metalcore fan, I strongly approve of this. Your attack and tightness are top tier and really bring power to the riffs. It somehow sounded original even though you were spoofing the tropes that we all love and grew up with. Killswitch and As I Die Laying would be proud \m/
The ending break is so juicy Its on my go hard in the instruments playlist xD
loved this! Metalcore just hits different
Metalcore will never die! 🤘
Love it, would love to see melodic death metal version (ehem old skool inflames and Swedish melo death metal bands)
This just illustrates the beauty of metalcore so well. Metalcore will always have my heart and will be my favorite genre of all music. Thank you sir for this excellent video.
Oh and was this is a Drop C?
Real metalcoe = hardcore punk agressivity with metal technicity
As somebody who's still getting into metalcore and who recenty started listening to old school metalcore, I loved this so much. It's so cool and gives me the vibes of KSE, og BFMV and so on. Nicely done, you earned yourself a sub!
Man i love it! If i had to learn guitar i will probably learn in order to play those old school metalcore riffs. Great great video i love this kind of material keep it up!
Great job! That was like the best treat for me as i haven't listen metalcore anymore forquietsometimes. Seeing this makes me play all those good old days metalcore songs.
I would love to jam with you man u are legit metalcore itself.
Heyyyy don't give out our secrets!!! great job man, love this!
That was some awesome playing and writing my man! I liked it better than most of the metalcore songs I've heard.
Amazing playing!
Also, I really like your tone. Maybe you could do a video explaining how you record something like this?
Thanks man. Great vid
I love how you recorded the video. It is fantastic!
Absolutely mental bro, first time viewer and I’m watching every video now🤟🤟
10/10 would listen again. Old school metalcore is SUPER trope-y, and I am here for it
This is amazing. I may need some tabs for this because all of it was just perfect
Always perfect and brutal my friend 🤘

Why I love Metalcore Riffs in a Nutshell. This video is wonderful. Just goosebumps from start to finish.
Dude. That was the best song I've ever heard. Cliches or not!!!! Pack more cliches in next time. Plus, I learnt some stuff.
Beautiful music
This is the best examination of riff categorization I've ever seen. You're a fucking animal, dude.
Great playing. I have been playing for years, but still suck at writing riffs like that. Nicely done!
This is sick! 🤘🏼
Oooooo man, amazing sound! This is the best recipe of Metalcore!)
Amazing Job 😮

Sick vid, everything about it was great

Great tone.
The nostalgia I feel from hearing riffs like this this is crazy
This slaps 100%. Need to do a TechDeath Riffs in a nutshell vid next!
Can't say the idea of the video is new, but the sound is amazing
Mate! You are awesome mate!
I became 20 years younger while listening to this. Nice one! Some of this reminded me of Dark Tranquillity.
These are some sweeeeeet riffs. Im recording my metalcore album right now. It's like 1999-2013 metalcore.
What a great way to start my day off to work. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
That ending break slams.. subbed, great work
Thanks a lot!
Bro sounds so good
my man this tone and mix was sick as fuck! well job dude
I love classic metalcore. Thank you
Dope riffs mate. The intro riff reminds me of Darkest Hour (the band).
There’s some really tight riffs in this!!!
This was awesome 👏
This is awesome 👌
DUDE! AWESOME! subbed.
What a tone!
This is beautiful to the ear. I swear.
Nice tight snare, kinda like from Frail Words Collapse with a little less ring to it. Great riffs either way, good for moshing
The power off guitars skill
After all these years, I still love Metalcore.
0:45 oh my god🖤🖤🖤

Super play!!!
Those chugs are filthyyyy

speedrun of metalcore. useful!
Bro that was awesome

As blood runs black in nutshell
you sir have mastered your guitar.
The glorious Drop C
LETS F GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DUUUUDEEEEEE, cant say it in words how much i liked this XD
That's badass 👌
That guitar tone though...
that's pretty brutal it's like your playing the entire drum sequence on guitar plus the guitar.
2:36 very cool❤❤❤❤
