I can't tell you how much I really appreciate these videos where you have the full mix and then the solo guitar. As someone starting to compose in this genre, it helps to understand the context of where and how the guitar sounds in the mix. For many years, I tried getting my tone to sound like on records and failing until I realized that all the other instruments are what augment it into something bigger than the sum of their parts.
The moment you get a vocalist with great tone and great hooks that create even greater vibes you'll turn into something big. The foundation is already quality quality. Now take that next step

Sounds amazing as usual! I also want to put some passive Seymour Duncan’s in my Jim Root Strat. I was wondering if you had to do anything as far as grounding when you switched from the actives?

Do you find it difficult jumping between 6, 7 and 8 strings? For me going between 7 and 8 takes like a typical warmup and I'm good to go, but 6's just feel weird nowadays.
Don't know, never thought about it. I started to play on 6 and then switch to 8, and never feel nothing weird. My problem is that i almost don't practice now.

Question. What is groove death metal and is it related to the Fender Stratocaster?
I made this track with Gojira/Dyscarnate influence (they play mostly this style), and this Fender is most metal strat of all in their catalog (Jim Root signature model)
