- Hey everyone!
I hope everyone out there is doing well! This video took a bit of time between diagnoses and ordering parts.
This video shows an Eskimo brand ice auger which has a few issues: the pull cord is broken and the engine won’t start.
Watch as I fix the issues and diagnose the real problem… and then fix it!
Cheers,

Awesome job Dave keep up the good work. I've got a Scotts mini tiller and a general post auger, both with the 2cycle Tecumseh engines and I really like them, they are solid little engines. But listen man is there any way you can make a video on the throttle linkage setup on the auger mine is all messed up and I can't find anything online it would be so helpful if you could and I'd be eternally grateful 🙏. Please please pretty please with a cherry on top!!
Perfect just in time for ice fishing season
Great vid Dave. Glad you got a microphone as it works great ! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mike!
Those old tecumseh run pretty good. Great job dave!!
Thanks Nash!
You’re a weapon. Great work
Now that's determination, you got that purring like a Kitted Dave. Nice work. Cheers !!***.
Cheers Vetter!

Good gob. In Canada rototillers are called ice augers . 🤣
Lol, you took my thunder!
Good video Dave makes me want to go and work on some of my older engines
Thanks Jeremy!
Good job Dave and when the snow melts you'll wonder what critter dug holes in your yard. 🤣
Haha! That happened today!
🤣👍🏼🤣
Nice job Dave.
Thanks Michael!
Well hello there Dave, its been awhile. Looks like you are doing good. Well, its a 2-cycle engine, so 150-PSI would be far better to see. That auger is not throttling up where it should be due to lack of compression. Your lucky the thing runs at all at 90-PSI. I doubt that has the power to get through ice, its a pretty tired antique, would make a great showpiece though.
Sweet !
Thank you
Thank you
Do you remember where you got the piston rings? I have the same model. Thanks!
I’d also like the part number please
My name is birk and I like to watch Dahwe turn a wrench
Thanks for the upload. Unfortunately, my piston is STUCK. Any tips?
Spray pb blaster down the spark plug hole and let it sit a while.
Do you have your own garage? I only have a space in my mom’s garage
Now let’s go fishing Dave
I’m a horrible fisherman!

If you ever work on it again you don’t need to remove the fuel hose from the carb the 90 port is just pulls out.
