i didn't think of this! I was going to add it back to my playlists, but heard it again and I just can't. I'll make a donation to Maya's childhood cancer research fund mentioning this song whenever I think about it.

I wish they instead had told you to react to the lyric/music video( Taylor´s version) that would have added money to his foundation. It is also way more emotional when you get to see Ronans pictures.
She’s only performed this song twice in total. It’s a very hard song to get through I can only imagine. She played it in 2012 for Stand Up to Cancer.

I agree about this being played often to help as many children as possible. This is the core reason Taylor is so special, she truly cares about her fellow humans, there’s nothing performative about her empathy and love, it’s 100% genuine which is why it hits so hard, hurts & heals.
It's a great song, I love how Taylor involved Maya in everything and gave her writing credit, donating the proceeds to the foundation. I feel like it's one of those things that shows people just how big Taylor's heart is. That couldn't have been easy to write, practice, record, or perform.
I can’t imagine being Maya and Ronans family right there on the floor with thousands of people singing this beautiful song in memory of him? As far as tributes go, this is one of the best. I still don’t know how even Taylor can sing this without completely losing it.

Thank you for reacting to this. So many skip it. It's sad but it's important. I've lost a child as well and I appreciate this song so much. We never want our babies to be forgotten and Taylor helped Ronan's family make sure that that'll never happen.

I'm just glad that someone warned you about the subject. What I don't like is when it's requested without any background. This is not the type of song any reactor should have given to them without some warning. I remember when I first saw the Ronan video last year. I am a new swiftie and was looking at everything she had done. I had no idea, and it broke my heart!
Lyrics videos so much better clear with pictures and words you must react to lyrics videos I’m waiting for you to react to her folklore and evermore albums I’m not big fan of Taylor swift but these two albums shows how she is true artist.

Taylor has only performed this song twice. This video and once on a benefit for a Stand ⬆️ 2️⃣Cancer event. Maya gets royalties whenever it’s played or streamed. Although it makes us sad, we applaud Taylor for doing this for childhood cancer and for Maya.
The actual video of this plays Maya’s pictures of Ronan. His eyes were a piercing blue and such an absolutely beautiful face and smile. I cannot even imagine how that would feel.
After Ronan passed, Maya eventually had a daughter who has Ronan as her middle name. He will never be forgotten. 💔
This is the song that made me a fan. What a brave child she describes and the pain of the Mom. It was clear that NO ONE could write this who lacked true empathy. I hope the proceeds help in the fight against childhood cancer because it is a horrible way to die. How do you tell a child who is almost 4 that his life is ending? It is crystal clear she has a heart that is big and she is the kind of woman I wish my children had when growing up as a role model.
You should look at the other video where the little boy is pictured. He had the most beautiful eyes I think I have ever seen.

I think this song is beautiful but heartbreaking 💔 I was there during the 1989 tour when she sang this. Most concerts she had special guests but in Glendale AZ Ronans Mom, Maya Thompson was in the audience as our special guest. It was beautiful ❤
