    Jody, I have become addicted to your 20 min power nap. I usually take one between 1:30 to 4:00 pm. Unbelievable results. Furthermore, some mornings, after waking, I still feel groggy and listen to the 15 min PN. Occasionally, I want to be more alert and aware after having 3 or 4 beers. The 20 min PN does miracles. Thanks for your dedicated work/postings.
    Age 60.

    I've used all of your various timed naps, and usually base the choice on how much time I have to reboot. 20-30 mins are my standard. I use them daily, and just settle in right away and escape!
    And then, per your suggestion, I'm ready to take on the world again 😁
    Love your work and thankyou ❤

    The 20-minute power nap has become the perfect power nap for me. The 25 minute PN is also good but can result in some grogginess upon waking. The 6 minute is a good, quick, re-boot -but usually does carry the same effect as the 20. Thank YOU for posting these. I listen to your 20-minute nap every single day now -between 3 pm and 4:30 pm. Wow!

    I have been power napping for years after reading about it in a book called Quantum Fitness. It recommended a nap from 15 to 45 mins b/w noon and 3 pm only. I have found a 30 min nap to be best for me (I'm now a septuagenarian), and like Jody says, if you can get to that just dozed off moment, you are refreshed.

  • @mssummerrose1

    When I power nap, it's best for me to do it in an inclined position (on hard lounger that has a wavey shape seen from the side) and I set my mind to make a nap, not sleep... then I feel when it's the right time to get up... maybe now it's around 20 minutes...
    Don't take your videos down, Jody, they're the only real deal without all the subliminals and music... thank you so much !!!!

    • @wastelandvagrant251
      @wastelandvagrant251 Рік тому +1

      Push through it and through the exhaustion; force yourself to sleep in short cycles (like 30 minutes),if consistent, your brain will eventually fall into a routine of short cycles in which you will fall asleep within a minute and always have some REM , so your brain will start getting recovery benefits even from these short naps. But you gotta FORCE yourself to GET UP; no snoozing or you will just end up with your circadian rhythms even more fucked than now.

    I don't nap all the time, but more than most people. My job is demanding of attention to detail and deadlines. I cannot afford mistakes, so some days I will take a 15 mins nap and feel AMAZING. Btw I don't ever nap like this without your 15 min binaural video. It helps me get into the state and accomplish what I need. Without it sometimes the 15 minute nap turns into much longer. Some days I just haven't gotten enough sleep because of my toddler, and those are the days when I can go 20 to 30 minutes. Either way I don't want to waste too much time napping, sometimes I don't even have that kind of time with my toddler around. Your videos are the best!

    There is enough going on in my life with sleep care--and it is important to me to listen to my body . My body says , every day,....nap. And the research is right on in that the greatest need is somewhere around 2. I am ready to go prone and zonk out while watching a half hour TV show. Its always the commercial at the end that wakes me..as they are always louder than the program. After that ..I am up ..finishing chores...cooking and getting things prepared for the next day. Now I will skip the television and make a conscious effort (if I am at home.).to plug in my headset and listen to your Power Nap video on my Iphone. Another step closer to having full control on my sleep needs and healthier lifestyle! I'll ket you know where I land...If 20 works...cool. If I need more I will shoot for 30. Thanks again!

    I have mild to moderate narcolepsy, no cataplexy. I sometimes hear the beginning of a sentence, fall asleep in the middle, and wake up in time to hear the end. I like to wake up early in the morning and stay up late at night--just not so late that I require a 90-minute nap the next afternoon. So I like two naps a day--one around 3 or 4 hours after I wake up in the morning, and another after 2 pm--if I can hold out till 3 or 4, that's even better. Your tapes are great because they don't distract me with music I would listen too, or some mood thing like rain, and because the frequencies are fairly low, more like a cat's purr than artsy stuff (which has its own place, just not here). Without music to think about or noise to be annoyed about, I can just watch the movie, which usually turns into a dream. The length of the one I choose depends. Which tones I prefer depends. I'm amassing a collection whose effects I can sort of predict. The 20-30 minute ones are good for when I had forgotten to take my ritalin and, having taken it, need to nap until it kicks in.

    Today’s trip was weird. I use this video a lot, but today I was dreaming almost immediately and then I had a moment when woke, completely disoriented (disorientated?). Ten seconds later, I was asleep again, and then 10 seconds after that the video ended. I can only describe it as a wild trip. However it sounds, I loved every minute of it, as usual. 😊

    Today I had the 35-minute power nap between 2:20 and 2:55, and I did notice a few minutes of grogginess upon waking up. Last time I took the 20-minute nap around the same time, and as you describe, I didn't feel any grogginess upon waking up but I also felt it was too short. So I'm gonna try the 30- and 25-minute ones next and see if I can figure out which one's best for me! I think this stuff is fun.

    I get a serious 3pm dip and when at work it can actually be really horrible. I'm trying to think about ways to circumvent it as it obliterates my concentration! This is very interesting. Stay connected interesting channel.

      Well, it's your body's natural rhythm! I don't know what kind of job you have, but if there's any way you could negotiate a 15-minute break at 3 PM with your boss to take even a 10-minute nap, it'd do wonders.

    Is there a way to customize power naps for my comfort?

    I find those days I have a nap for 2-4 hours, I end up also sleeping 10-12 hours that night.

    Hi Jody. Just discovered your channel. Excellent condensed information! Great videos!! Thank you!! My question: for the power naps, study/work (and other activities) with binaural beats we need to wear headphones otherwise they won't work?

    • @bestbinauralbeats
      @bestbinauralbeats  4 роки тому +2

      Correct! If you listen with speakers, you get an acoustic (or monaural) beat. Headphones are required for the binaural effect.

    Ideally I get in the 20 minutes but am so practiced that the 10 hits when I’m tight on time

    How important is to wear the correct side of the earphones? I mean R and L. Thanks for your videos! I bought some audios from Morry Zelcovich but I lost them. Yours are awesome!!

      Switching R and L doesn't really matter, the effect is the same.
