    Thanks for an honest review... the best kind really. I was wondering if you have to 'thread' the hammock in at the ends of the bug netting... but I couldn't tell if there was a zipper - e.g. you mentioned not understanding how you then get in and out of it. Am also a big NO to the bugs - so that bit is quite important to us bug averse... I do have a hammock that I love - and the bug net is attached, then zipper at the side for entry... Thanks for sharing - Love your work Cheers.

      There was no zip on the bug net at all and no clear place to thread anything in…. The whole thing left me confused lol! Xx

    Laughed at Kent survivals Andy,, his hammock tent thingy hanging from a tree limb, over a incline.. his first roost attempt, he fell into the thing and let out a hilarious belly laugh. As the thing gobbled him up!😅😅😅😅

    I am not a hammock aficionado, but have used and slept well in a NightCat Lay Flat hammock, also a "bridge" hammock...easy to set up with the added bonus of being a excellent bivvy tent too.....

      Oh really?! I would love to have made it work but just couldn’t despite numerous attempts! Wish I knew where I was going wrong as it frustrates me it beat me lol! 😂

    The head end (lol) looked like it needed to be even higher up the tree... or at least notably higher than the footend... yh looks a bit of a pain tbf... cheers Karen 😎👍

    i love mine, i find it very comfy i also use different straps. and i raise the head end more than i would with a standard hammock.And i shortened the foot end rope. i hadno issue with the bug net, it was easy to fit and it worked.

    Ive always been concerned that with back problems it wouldn't have the support needed and I'm a side sleeper as well...good video Karen.

      Hey Renee!! I hope you’re well! I have back problems and hip issues and a hammock is the most comfortable sleep I’ve ever had camping, honestly… and I’m a side sleeper too. If you tried one like my other OneWind hammock you might just love it! 🥰

      I would very highly recommend. I thought I’d hate it and that it would kill my back but it’s the best sleep I’ve ever had camping! 🥰

    I have the same hammock and I get on ok with it. Only real downside I have found is its a bugger to fit the underblanket. So I just use this one in the summer.

      Oh really? Honestly I’d love to understand how you’re meant to set up, I even see n struggled with the strap around smaller trees, it’s like they have to be the perfect girth (lol!) I just don’t get it lol! I’m glad you like it though! 🥰

      @@ksgonewild Standard straps are too small, I use my normal hammock ones. I also find that I have to hang the foot end higher than I normally would, otherwise I wake up in a ball in the middle of the hammock.

    I'll be honest, I just don't see the point in this hammock. It's like trying to reinvent the wheel. DD travel hammock, one wind normal hammock and those Amok ones are all you need in a hammock. This one feels a bit prototypey to me, like half an idea that had been rolled out. But what I did learn is next time I'm in the woods setting up one, I'll dig out my mini skirt 🤣

    Nice try but it’s defo not perfect, ditch half the cordage and use the original straps with cinch buckles both ends
    Tension on the fabric at the head end is way too much not sure how long that will last 🤷‍♂️ mk 2 ?

    I tried hammock camping. I don’t get on with it, I can’t get comfortable. It’s not normal for a human to sleep hanging in trees. A platform in a tree, fine, but to be lead bent like a banana? Show me in nature, where that is natural.

      I was extremely dubious and expected to hate sleeping in a hammock and for it to hurt my back…… I absolutely love it and it’s the best nights sleep I ever have camping! My other OneWind hammock is absolutely awesome and you can sleep almost diagonally in so you’re basically flat. I love it! This one? Me no likey! 😂🤣😂🤣

    It's not your fault.
    That's the worst hammock design I've ever seen.
    Have a look at DD Hammocks, Frontline with built in bug net
    also see "Tree Hugger" (straps) and whoopie slings (adjustable method of attaching the hammock to the tree hugger straps.)
