I love you and Andy! And I watch most of your videos. I’m a 63 year old nana from Tennessee in the US and my grandson and I love to camp. We really enjoy watching you. Thanks for all the great camping and exploring!!❤TN Nana
@@ellenclayton5955not exactly the way We do them, but they’re not in Tennessee. I bet the cornbread isn’t anything like southern either. Nobody cooks as good as a southern woman!
You 2 both together, you're funny, even better after a beer or 3. Thank you. I was very upset about the news, Maggie had passed such a lovely part of your videos she will be missed
Nice rib dinner.....my favorite..... I enjoy my Dutch oven North Country whiskey Ribs.....8-10 bone in country style ribs, 3 cups barbeque sauce, 3 cups brown sugar, 2 cups Jack Daniels, salt and pepper to taste. Portions work well in a number 12 Lodge. Save the left over mixture for left overs the day or freeze to use again for another batch at a later date. Oops, off the the meat market. My taste buds are calling.
For all of us who are still having to isolate your videos are such a joy and spirit raiser. Thanks both of you for such a fun virtual taste of the outdoor life. I look forward to such times again. Well done lads.
The NHS should prescribe a “Weekend away with Simon” for depression, anxiety and any other condition known to mankind! I’ll have to cook some kidneys now...:)
Being in lock-down here in Victoria, Australia and unable to travel further than five kilometres from our home makes getting away for even an over nighter, is fraught with difficulties and heavy fines! We have to be in by eight PM. NO JOKE! So it was good to see you two in front of the fire tucking into some very fine cuisine and brew. Thank you boys.
Another quality vid Simon. What more does a man need, good company. nice fire, good food, a few beers and a catch up with a good mate...simple pleasure during these weird times...Priceless.
Simon, Greetings from Indiana! I love both of your shows and always look forward to the adventures!! But it is especially great when you two are together. You two make a great team of fun and adventure and the two of you always make me smile and laugh!!!!! I hope you guys are planning more trips together..... and we always miss Maggie. Cheers and thanks again for the entertainment.
Somehow I keep missing videos! I thought I've binge watched your channel for 2+ years, so to see a video I haven't liked, makes my day! Thank you Simon! 💯 🔥🍻
Two of my favorite UA-camrs together. I watched Andy’s version first, then this one. Then watched it again to get the recipe for deviled kidneys. And just because I liked the video so much. Great fun! I’ve never had kidneys before- they aren’t a breakfast thing in the US but now I’m gonna try them. With scones. Yum.
Just had the all clear health wise from consultant oncologist... Guess where I'm going to celebrate? Yep, I will dig out my old rucksack and boots; head into the wild, and blame you when I come home stinking of wood-smoke! Thanks Simon, your vids have helped me through some dark times these last twelve months..
love seeing people I watch on youtube get together! Never thought I'd try kidneys, but I was drooling! Ribs, any day of the week :) Great episode. Andy, did you record anything while you were there? It'd be kinda cool to see your view of it!
Discovered your channel this week and I must say that the video's are such a joy to watch! Every hour of every evening this week has been so well spend. I love how you take care of your dog as well, with so much love 🥰 (i am always hiking with my dog). So thank you very much for giving such great content. Kind regards from the Netherlands.
Simon is great, he does things a little bit different from the mainstream bushcraft, like the RAF video, both good channels and Maggie the dog is awesome.
Absolutely Grand Simon, so good to have tagged along again. Your gear is amazing and always loving your style. You and Andy fit very well together in every film I've seen you both in. I've followed Andy for years now as well. Man that was some fine cooking! As always, Blessings to YA Both from Oregon. ... Mike.
Glad you liked my beers guys! Great videos from you both again! 👍 The double IPA was heavily hopped with columbus, plus centennial and chinook, which gives it a dank, almost licqourish taste- I wonder if that was what Andy was pondering when he sipped it? To me a Double Ipa is just a beefed up IPA- more hops to balance the higher alcohol content. Malt takes more of a back seat but i did use Golden promise malt to add a bit of body whilst mashing at a low temp to keep it dry also. The other beer was a nutty, strong, maltier bitter using East Kent Goldings hops and marris otter, caramel and a bit of Munich malt.
Starting at about 21:29, Simon sitting there with that hat and the way the light hits it, looks like a big mouse, sitting there eating those ribs. Just adorable! Love it. I laugh every time I watch his video at that point.
I can't wait for you guys to get back together, I love the meals you guys come up with. Your videos are just what we need during this world predicament, good times all around cheers. Looking forward to seeing what you two have planned for us. Big thanks again for taking the time and sharing with us.
I watch the full 42.5 minutes of this video taking in all the lovely food you both did, enjoying the Bushcraft work around camp and I actually realised why you both get on so well. You actually washed up all the pots after Andy grafted and cooked the tea (dinner) 😱. That’s it now, anyone who I cook for on my camps now as to wash up!! 😂. Seriously though, great to see you meet up with one another again after such a long break. Cheers Simon, Ant 👍
My wife and I love your adventures with Andy. You guys crack us up. Laura is really not keen on your culinary choice for breakfast 😳. The deviled lamb kidneys are rarely an American breakfast choice when camping 🥞🍳🧇 or ever. Hahaha. We then enjoy visiting Andy’s channel to see his take on the same trip. Very cool. Stay safe and well gentlemen. Safe travels & God bless 🙏🏼⛺️😎
Hahaha - not everybody’s taste, but delicious in my book - offal used to be eaten much more often, but tastes have changed - the bonus for me is that it’s much cheaper than the popular cuts of meat. 😁
You two are without doubt the best producers of Outdoor Videos on U-Tube. Great to have you back and good to know you've been making future plans. Thank you and stay safe lads. 👍😁
The scones looked perfect. Ribs had my mouth watering. Woods are gorgeous. But nothing beats friends spending time together. Looking forward to your next joint adventure. V
Always a lot of fun to see you and Andy together and always great intro music. You guys are so lucky to have such great permissions with a ton of resources. What a meal. Andy just dumps in some milk...no measure and it comes out perfect. Good job...it looks spectacular. It must be wonderful to sleep on the ground and not worry about canebreak rattlers, coral snakes, copperheads and cotton mouths climbing in the sack with you.....nor wild boars or bears to contend with. It must be nice.
Great video Simon good to see you with Andy again, it was very enjoyable seeing you both having a laugh, and some great grub, beautiful woods as well thanks for sharing 👍
I’m newly subbed to your channel. Hello from the US. Love the videos. It’s fascinating to see those delicious meals being made on a fire pit. Keep them coming Simon!
It's really nice to see your channel grow, it's such lovely and quality content. I always enjoy your videos. I wish you, your family and especially Maggie all the best.
As an American, I would eat the Lambs Kidneys in a heartbeat. I have never had sweetbreads, but know I would love them. That looked amazing. The ribs did too. Very nice video. thank you.
As a newbie camper, I didn't realized how important was to pick a flat ground to set up camp. In the middle of the night, I was sliding away from my sleeping pad , good thing I had the 2 person tent and it was only me. I was still too lazy to find a flat ground the next day 🤭 I wanted to stay under a pine tree and face a cause garden
Although I do like to see Mags enjoying the outdoors, I will say that watching a couple of tipsy blokes catch up in the woods while making a delicious dinner is most entertaining. Stay well and thanks for the video.
Tecnologhy roaring in the sky’s above . While down below two friends get back to basics with beers and ribs . Good show men the eating scene in the dark perfect and even a bit funny 🤓good laughs .
That was marvelous. Sharing good food, a good fire, friendship, is exactly what is needed in these challenging times. Thanks for sharing. Be well, be safe, and take good care.
Thank you these video that you and Andy make are a life savers for me and I mean that. I love the outdoors and myself and my wife often camp out but we are bikers so we always pack very light. Thank you again.
I was thinking the same thing😂👍🏻...those ribs...1/2 of one of those 4 would completely fill me Up, not mentioning the bread....right b4 bed time...10 hours later : "hungry!!" Lolz....and no chubby- hubby....
I have enjoyed every video that I’ve watched on your channel. I have many common interests and love watching your videos especially at this times when I can’t be out in the woods. Thank you for sharing.
Simon, if you look at when you're putting your sleeping mat into your bivvy bag (5.07ish), you can see that you've left a bung out. That's why the mat deflated!
Good to see 2 familiar faces out in the bush doing what they do so well is to enjoy some one else's company - have a beer of 2, build a neat fire & do some cooking? What more could a bloke need?? discuss world issues, have another beer & Andy well done with your food looked delish & ya did the dishes too - Cheers
I feel always strange when we are all working and nobody talks at all and then you sit down for the fire and nobody talks again because all adoring the magical fire.
Can’t wait to watch this one…I literally commented on Andy’s latest video asking when you two will next meet again and film a video and here it is! 😄🙌🏽
Great video! Nice little camp he has there! I love that you guys cook and eat real food. I enjoy seeing what you guys cook up over there across the pond. Thanks for sharing this with us. 😊👍👍
I love you and Andy! And I watch most of your videos. I’m a 63 year old nana from Tennessee in the US and my grandson and I love to camp. We really enjoy watching you. Thanks for all the great camping and exploring!!❤TN Nana
I am in E TN. What did you think of the ribs?
@@ellenclayton5955not exactly the way We do them, but they’re not in Tennessee. I bet the cornbread isn’t anything like southern either. Nobody cooks as good as a southern woman!
I'm hungry. Thanks guys.
You 2 both together, you're funny, even better after a beer or 3. Thank you. I was very upset about the news, Maggie had passed such a lovely part of your videos she will be missed
I don't know how many times I've watched this video, but I still think it's brilliant that Simon is wearing a Kent Survival t-shirt!!
As many times as I've watches this video I cannot believe Ive never noticed that!!!😂😂😂😃😃😃. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!!! 😎😎😎😎
It’s addictive isn’t it 😂 guess it’s better than a lot of addictions though 😅
I've never noticed that either.
Come to think of it I’m wearing my Kent Survival shirt while watching this!!! Lmao
Collab of 2 favourite Bushcrafters.😍
🙌☺️
I agree!!! :)
I agree as well
Absolutely!
Agreed, I enjoy watching both of these gentlemen.
Your hot apple cider from Canada is one of our favorites. Enjoy!
You too are the best. Cooking my favourite Lambs kidneys. Brilliant videos thank you so much👍

You twos collabs are by far my favorite to watch . Not to mention the meal ideas you guys come up with .
The NHS should prescribe a “Weekend away with Simon” for depression, anxiety and any other condition known to mankind! I’ll have to cook some kidneys now...:)
Hahaha, thank you Joe!! 👍
As should the VA in the US.
Nice one lads👍
Those kidneys look offal.
I don’t eat organs…otherwise great cooking! You’re having fun too…
Probably the best two u tubers in the U K.
Hope it’s lifted soon for you guys! 👍
Another quality vid Simon. What more does a man need, good company. nice fire, good food, a few beers and a catch up with a good mate...simple pleasure during these weird times...Priceless.

Batman and Robin reunited, just what is needed in these crazy days, thanks for taking us along gents 👍
Only just got around to watching the second half haha.. was great to see you again mate.. cant wait for the next adventure!
Me neither mate!! 😁👍

Hurrah! Just what I needed. Had a right shite day. Watched this with a cold one and all was well with the world again. Great stuff lads👍

I love how you take care of your dog as well, with so much love 🥰 (i am always hiking with my dog). So thank you very much for giving such great content. Kind regards from the Netherlands.
I watch several outdoor channels and Simon may be my favorite with Andy running a close second at Kent Survival.
Simon is great, he does things a little bit different from the mainstream bushcraft, like the RAF video, both good channels and Maggie the dog is awesome.
Thank you Sandra!
I would start supper at noon next time.
Best bushcraft style camping ever In UA-cam. Honestly
Thank you!
That looked like a really great little break to recharge your batteries. ENJOYED THAT ! THANKS GUYS 👍
Great to see Simon and Andy doing a woodland wild camping video together what a excellent video well done guys.
Time to revisit one of my all-time favorites from your catalog: a wonderful site, the right guy to film with, good tips and techniques.
Absolutely Grand Simon, so good to have tagged along again. Your gear is amazing and always loving your style. You and Andy fit very well together in every film I've seen you both in. The Scabby Ass of a Horse, OMG!! 😂😂😂 Laughed so hard. Glad we didn't have to see that Simon, haha!!😅
Andy/Simon I totally enjoyed this video! I liked the baking as well being a professional Chef and Baker by trade! Be well boys!
Nice to see andy taking it easy for once , nice one simon ❤
Glad you liked my beers guys! Mate, they were truly delicious! You are a brewing wizard!! That double IPA is possibly the nicest beer I’ve ever drunk! Thanks Ollie!
I really love your solo work, first class but Simon and Andy videos are on another level. Very entertaining and professional. All the best!

A glimpse of Simon without his hat! Yay! Being American, I'm all about the ribs and cornbread. Yum!

Great video guys! Good food, good friends, good time.
With this Pandemic situation, I was loved to be camping with you guys. Enjoy it !
I like the primitiveness of the camp and then the modern day technology of the Jet engine overhead .
Another great video Simon. I think you guys just love trying different beers and that’s why you don’t get to eat the ribs until 11 o clock .
😂😂😂 very true!
I reckon Andy trained as a cook. I watch all of his vlogs and now started to catch up with Simon. Great collaboration.
Great video Simon good to see you with Andy again, it was very enjoyable seeing you both having a laugh, and some great grub, beautiful woods as well thanks for sharing 👍
Great to see you guys, especially together. Looked like a good time and a nice break from the world. Take care and give Mags a pat for me.

You can really see the friendship between these two!
Hi Simon. I have watched both versions of the same camp now. Interesting to see the difference between yours and Andy. Both excellent well done.
Where do you put it all?????? These videos are a health hazard.......and bloody fabulous!!
I was thinking the same thing😂👍🏻...those ribs...1/2 of one of those 4 would completely fill me Up, not mentioning the bread....right b4 bed time...10 hours later : "hungry!!" Lolz....and no chubby- hubby....

Eating like kings! I bet some serious holes were dug the next morning 😂 nice video as always Simon 💪
Oh yes!!! 😂😂

IT'S LIKE WATCHING A COOKERY PROGRAM LADS.ONLY THING MISSING IS WEARING A DINNER JACKET
Simon, if you look at when you're putting your sleeping mat into your bivvy bag (5.07ish), you can see that you've left a bung out. That's why the mat deflated!
That bung is for the secondary air chamber. It has two independent chambers, one used as a backup in case the first one gets punctured.
Also, crispy bacon broken up goes well with cheese in cornbread.
Both of your videos were great. Thanks for the entertainment.
Truly enjoyed seeing you 2 guys together. Great video.

Simon I can't help but think of Griff Rhys Jones every time I see your face.
Has anybody said this to you before?
I thought that aswell
This was one of your best uploads that I watched, thoroughly enjoyed, thanks for sharing !
Thanks for the inspiration. New boots & tent, off for a week exploring a long distance footpath!
Have a great time! Happy trails!
Looks like you were going to feed us then showing us your food :D
Well done chaps glad to see you back together!
What a great birthday gift two of my many bushcrafters I watch, great video thanks.
Happy Birthday!!
