My grandfather work in the oil fields in California. He took a small copper tube with tiny holes in it, an electric fuel pump, and a 1 gallon jug. When his truck would start to overheat, he would flip the switch on spraying water in front of the radiator. his service truck was the only one still moving after a couple of weeks.
Hey Boss, excuse the spelling have you guys ever gone to Leavitt Lake off the 108 ? founded it by mistake one of my favorite places in the Sierras 😊 beautiful where is Three Lakes feed into one it's awesome!!!! dig your Channel 👍
It's cool to see these places again. The last time I was up there was back before Covid. It's really a high alpine meadow environment, not desert. That Coyote flats/Big Pine section is pretty knarly. We did it years back going down on our DS motorcycles. That would be very challenging to drive up. The Coyote Flats area is possibly the only place in CA where you can 4 Wheel up over 11,500 ft. , if the trails are open.
Funnel lake has kind of become the LA brobra lake, a hard road, the most people. This place is an adventure for us NorCenCal people. A straight shot from LA. Your take brings the memories back.
We have hood vans and fans in our hood vans, so there is no point to do it. It will be exactly the same as just lifting the hood. But not everything was filmed we did stop a few times and one of the jeeps did lift their hood, but it was no difference. It was cooling off about the same rate.
Because Other Places we Hit along the Route where still under snow in Western Sierras, HWY 108 Opened late June and we all can't Just Drop everything and go Midweek anytime we want because we still have Days Jobs
@@4WDAdventureCrew Coyote Flats is around 10,000 ft. maybe a bit higher. The very top of Kirkwood ski resort in the Sierras is 9800 ft. Kirkwood has the highest lift served terrain in California. The odds that the road up to Coyote Flats will even be open in May/June after a decent winter is very slim. Bishop CA altitude is 4500 ft.
Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
I really enjoyed this series! Made me feel like I was part of your crew. Thanks so much for the entertainment!!

A hard road and when you get there, 20 people already.
Very good video. TY. Surprised that no one lifted their vehicle's hood when "cooling off."

Sometimes I’m glad I have a 2.5 in my XJ, that thing never gets over 200 not matter how hard I’m pushing it.
You mean you’re pushing it from behind upper hill 😂 Jk.
Yeah, with those motors, you don’t have as much heat buildup as you do with the 4.0‘s
XJ Adventure Crew
