It's not noise, it's the sound of life 🥰
That is true💜
I’ve definitely looked at your channel before but now I am subscribed. It is my goal to be in Mérida by October 2023.
Welcome to the UA-cam fam!
Thank you so much for this! In the process of finding a place and this showed up on my timeline!
Thanks. I appreciate this 🙏
You’re welcome
I just moved to Rosarito from LA California and have been considering jumping to the other side of Mexico. This was a great Video
I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching.
Thank you this was very helpful.
You’re welcome
Hey, Your video is excellent and gave me exactly what I needed, thank you 🙏🏾. I plan on coming to Merida next month to look at some places to rent first then hopefully buy a home.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for this very informative video! 😃👍🏾
You are welcome!
Good info! I like the video and I really like you. 😘😎 Old dude maybe moving to Merida, soon.
Thank you for this. 👏🏿
You’re welcome
Great job!
Thank you
Nice video.
Hi. May I ask if Merida is loud even in the middle of the night and early in the morning? Is the noise 24 hours a day or mainly in the day time and early night. What about between 10 or 11pm and 7AM?
Beatiful City

Greetings from Montevideo, Uruguay. 🇺🇾
Greetings
Great video, thanks. Me n the kids are visiting this summer. How was your experience in Guanajuato? Did you feel safe?
We felt very safe. 💖
Hello and thank you for all the great info.
Question. I didn't hear Barbara mention whether or not long-term residents or expats needed to setup a Mexican bank account for all the financial transactions. Is that a requirement?
I do not have a bank account here so you do not need one.
Not to self: merida moves
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks for making this video! Going to Merida with my 2 kiddos this summer & nervous about renting! What happens if we don’t know a local that owns a home there? Can I still rent?
You’re welcome! Yes, you can but normally have to pay a couple months deposit up front. I highly recommend hiring Merida Moves to help you find and sign for a home.
HEllo Amoya how much does she charge to help you with the moving process? Thank you for another informative video.
Hello! I am not sure what her current rates are but you can contact her to find out more info.
Very helpful 🥂

@@AmoyaShante did you ever stay the inner circle traveling blogs for single mothers yes I know I’m a man but what about the single fathers that travel 🧳 🥂
When I shifted my focus and work to something new, the old travel blog posts were not transferred to my new website. We aren’t even sure if we will ever add them back as of now.
Do you get the deposit back?
Seems harder than I thought plus if you might not get 180 days. I have also heard that they write down what they want not necessarily 180 days.
I have never not received 180 days. I have only completed one lease and I got the deposit back. 💜
What about air b n b same rules
Can u get good price with an air b n b monthly or three to six months rental .
You can write the winner and try
Have any recommendations for relocations experts to Mexico City?
I’m sorry. I don’t.
How are the jobs there for like social services type positions?
Pay here is extremely low. I recommend working online.
How much do you pay for your home that you feature on Tiktok?
Hey you, long time no see 😉 you look gorgeous.
We are moving mid June to Mérida.
Very nervous about my pet transport. The flight from Europe is very long & there have allready been some challenges to have him cleared for South America. (i know technically Mexico is North America but for pet shipping they consider it as South). It's veryyy different than for US.
Anyways I think i will use the services of Barbara. Do they also do recidency finalazation?
Thank you ☺️
Hola! Here is some positive vibes for your safe travel. Yes they do do residency finalization.
@@AmoyaShante thank you 😊💚
does this all apply if you want to be a snowbird for a few months. Say 3-4 months.
I would look in Merida Casitas for Rent on Fb or Airbnb for short term. Maybe FB marketplace.
What if you don’t know anyone that can co sign for you?
Owners will typically ask for double deposits then.
How do you get a guarantor ?
I hired Merida Moves
It was not explained how to rent if you can not find somebody with a property in Merida to be you guarantor
How do you manage the heat? People's stories have me a lil shook but fingers crossed, I will be there before the end of the year.
I feel like you adapts to it. Choose a house with AC in every room and a pool would be a plus. The winter months are beautiful.
How to you find a guanter person?
I hired a company called Merida Moves.
The tourist card (FMM) will not allow you stay long term. Visitors are no longer granted the full 180 days by default. It can arbitrarily be any number of days from 3 days to 180 days. Residence permits are required for long term stays
Is the tourist visa the same as temporary residency visa?
@@hazeleyezluv No.
@theirstories There is a whole explanation on how to get this permit. Can't remember the name of UA-camrs explaining. But there are several UA-cam videos on this subject. The Mexican consulate is also a good start in major border towns (such as Del Rio TX; El Paso TX; Brownsville, TX; Laredo, TX; Nogales AZ; San Diego, etc) and in every major city in the U.S. (Denver, Portland, San Bernardino. Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix, Tucson, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, etc to name a few). Fewer in other countries.
"Retire Life in Mexico NO BULL" and "Two Expats in Mexico" UA-cam channels have videos that best explain about these changes to the tourist visas (FMM) and the residency permits (which have always been there).
Tourist card? I was in Mexico City twice and was never given any sort of card. Just got my passport stamped.
I think they have done away with it now and it is all electronic. That was not the case though when I made this video.
Single mom (1 child) I want to move from SC 🇺🇸 to Merida 🇲🇽 by 1/1/2023 I want to rent a 2 bdrm 2 bath house Where do u recommend living (hotel?) while searching for permanent housing?
Hola. I recommend getting an Airbnb and taking your time.
@Olympia happy to connect . Similar goals . Moving from the same region.
but you told me you didn't know... now a video
Who are you?
What about remax?
I have no idea what that is
@@AmoyaShante you can look up houses and I think air bnbs idk I seen someone use it before but I thought that it would be a good one since I don’t have a Facebook
@@katilynemcmullens5871 you can give it a try but I found that sites like that aren’t always accurate and the places are already rented or fake listings so just be cautious.
@@AmoyaShante okey dokey
Can't be any hotter than Belize ... If I can make it here, I'll make it anywhere! In the back of my mind I wonder why so many US Blacks choose Latin America over African destinations. I ended up in Belize due to my wife's insistence ... I liked Africa much better.
Lived here for 12 years and never lived in a place so noisy. Bit misleading that everywhere will be like that
I'm so frustrated trying to find an afforaable place in the city! Who knew it would be such a headache
Prices have definitely gone up over the years. Are you using a relocation company? How are you searching for places?
Ive been mostly working through FB marketplace but when I get there I'm def going to connect with Barbi.
i have rented homes several times in the area with merely a handshake. this is a very strange video for me to watch.
That’s great for you. Are you an expat? I can sure you that a lot of people aren’t renting homes with just a handshake
Especially if they cost $2000 a month. Lol. That would be unwise for the owner. And if you rent houses with Jaír a handshake, then why would you need to watch this video. Doesn’t seem like something you need info on?
Let me get that number
This could be in Merida but not the case in all of "the Yucatan". Far from it. Title should be MERIDA not MEXICO.
People could also read the title and see that it clearly says living in Merida, MX
@@AmoyaShante I did but they are not accurate together.
@@gregorgman you are welcome to create your own video with whatever title you like.
@@AmoyaShante that's not the point, your title is misleading.
