Use 2000 grit sandpaper w/ water and lightly go over the touch-up area to smooth it out. Then use turtle wax heavy compound **Important** do not let the compound dry. Then use Meguiar's Ultimate Polish 3 or 4 applications. It will look new again.
I thought it came out pretty good. If the expectation was that it would be totally invisible then no not a pro job from a collision center. But for a DYS job it came out very good. Thanks for the vid.
My man gets it, what more can you ask for for under $20 and it's rust proof. The original scratch was pretty big too. If there's any dirt on the truck at all you can barely tell it's there and even clean you gotta get the right light and look.

You need to wet sand it. Go 1200, to 1500, to 2000. Then you can compound and polish over that.

These pens are meant for rock dings, that was just a big scratch.
You could put vinyl decals on that scratch like your in The fast and the furious.

Dont do that. Clear goes last
Sand first paint second
Clear coat third
Your suppose to wet sand it smith first then cut and polish it.
