6:40 That is what ground loop isolators are for. They have a random ground wire from a small box that your supposed to run to ground. They actually do exactly what you ended up doing.
On a second note, 4 Channel Class A/B amps will pickup distortion for high or mid pass filtering easily. Because its a much higher frequency. From class D or Class A/B amps for subs will not pick that up because the frequency is far lower than what you would hear in your Mids, and High tier speakers. Its not that they are finicky, its that they are producing a signal you now hear because low frequencies for subs will not broadcast this on a lower Hz.

Maybe something with the ground plane of rcas in the input section of amp. Someone like Dean and Fernando at Five Star Car Stereo,Mark of CAF or Steve Meade (too many others to name)could give some advice. I am sure they have ran into the same issue.
Another possibility is an rca is going bad and the Marts amp is more sensitive.
Truly miss those days just riding around with the music turned up.. Great video Parker

i just bought the Surge Audio 10k amp, i’m here to tell you, it’s cheap, and the thing is a beast. temp and voltage bass knob. just thought id mention it. the amp you have is nice too though i had one before the surge

Good luck with marts. I've got the 8k. I can't get much more than 4500 out of it without clipping like crazy anything under 36hz. That's staying above 13.4 volts and dual input 0 guage. The sound quality is not bad though. I ended up going back to a taramps bass 8k. Appreciate the real world info though. Never disappointed.

ATTA-BOI now it is about tiiiime you stepped it upp to some real cone area and tried out some 18's!!! Ive got quite a few of them kickin around a sundown zv4 18, zv3 18, a DC NEO elite 4-18 (4in 8layr coils 4.5krms $3k woofer) pair of Wolfram PT-18's 4in 4 layer 4krms each and once you step up to 18's it is sooo hard to go back to smaller subs lol

really looking forward to this build. Going to be installing a pair of U series 18's in my crew cab. undecided on doing a simple ported box or one with aero's? or maybe a 4th order like a 1.5 : 1 ratio or something like that to give it good bandwidth
also with that amp you can add 2 more 18's downforsound still has some of the V2's left
Is it possible that jp is getting new v2s like exclusively? Like a build house just for him and in it they still make v2s?
@Drago 710 he said in a video that he had ordered a couple truck loads of em when he was told they were discontinuing them. And they are discounted like 20%. I'm sure there isn't much difference between V2 and V3

I have some videos on my UA-cam of some Xv2 18s I was doing 150s with no wall.. I loved those subs, I got some Xv3 12s that if I blow them I'll probably rebuild as 18s
Looks like all your rca's on your high Marts amp are touching!! Not good it might give you a bad signal. If it does just get smaller rca's that don't touch or wrap your rca in electrical tape so the bare metal don't touch Parker💯

Ahh, non stock xv2's. Everything changes with those being custom built recones. Especially the Fs and the limited linear excursion with those cones. But, should be fairly loud and more spl geared. 👍

can you explain more about how you got rid of the noise, i have the same problem with my 4 channel amp and its been going on for a year now.
i’m still tryna figure out how to run my door speaker wires to the 4 channel because I messed on an amp already after doin all four doors and i’m not sure what ai did weong

Luckily Sundowns are so easily reconeable because if your track record continues im sure that you'll end up smoking these coils and when you do just go to Apex Audio and order a set of drop-in recones with upgraded parts like an 8 layer coil and some nice and stiff black or red spiders and really beef them up a bit to handle the kind of abuse you so love to give your woofers lol

I’ve got (2) 18” Sundown ZV3 on a Taramps Bass 8K at 2ohm. It’s obscene.

On my regular setup it never drops below 13. The bigger one I did last fall it would drop to low 12s after demoing my a whole

To be accurate, any amp can blow, when a sub blows, and arcs the coils. Also 1 problem/issue is alot?

25years ago, those meters read 5 to 10 Db higher than the new meters. I know i have tested this many times, as i have competed since the 90s.
At what point do you need more than one run for your power and ground? Even my Taramps smart bass 3K doesn't have a zero GA input. :(

Im very tempted to buy the Marts 13.5k or even the 16k. Its just the full bridge thing im unsure about. I tend to stay with korean. I have 2 avatar 12s with a jp63 at 1 ohm right now. Im either getting D2 avatars n running at .5 ohm or staying at 1 ohm and getting a bigger amp. I may even wait till black Friday and get the apocalypse 3512s D2s. Such tough decisions in life. Lol
If going Full bridge= dont wire below the rated impedance. If your staying korean built, half bridge, you can wire to 1/2 ohm, on a 1 ohm amp, as long as you have good electrical, and cooling.
Go with Taramps. They had issues in the past and listened to their customers. Now their amps are kicking ass!
I've been running a bxx 4k HIFONICS amp and pushing two 10 inch punishers finale load is 1ohm to the amp and it stays ice cold I love the amp but I want to get a 15 inch brickhouse sub to see if one sub would be better for power than 2 subs and also I wanted to hit more low notes and I feel like the 2 10s don't hit that low and obviously they are Rockville but they do slam everything in my car but yeah idk

I'm getting a lot of noise from a Taramps Smart 3 how did you say you got the noise out of the Marts amp? Solder from head unit chassis to RCA ground? I get terrible noise with RCA's hooked to amp but it goes silent when I unhook them. They are silent when connected to RF T800, I can turn the gain to lowest setting on Taramp and still getting some noise.
I think its Rfi, interferance, from that type of Full bridge amp. I have heard of people wraping tin foil around the last 12inches or so of the Rcas by the amp, just make sure to zip tie them so they dont touch the amp, or the very ends of the Rcas.

@@ParkerTheBasshead yea. these things have issues with their internal grounds on the RCAs. One little arc and they get fried. I had to do the same thing to mine. I took speaker wire and wrapped it around all the RCAs on the back of the head unit then grounds the wire out on the frame of the unit. Never had a problem after that. Once it looses that ground the rcas attempt to ground through the amp in order to get back to the head unit. Doing that trick will reroute the ground to go to the unit instead of through the amp and vehicle. Very common problem with pioneer. You have to make absolute sure you have the battery disconnected when to are plugging and unplugging the RCAs. Or you can just perform this mod on all your pioneer units and solve the problem for good. Lol 😆
