I want to go two 12s or two 15s at 1000-1500 watts but wasn't sure if it be worth the money as I have two 12s right now at 500 watts like how much difference would it be
I have generally found that hooking a small good amp to a big high watt sub, produces very clean sound, although not very loud. The stiffness of the motor and cone seems to mellow out any distortion in a small good quality amp.
Hells yes ! Man it’s crazy how much the channel has taken off and gotten crazier and even more dope! Good for you dude ! And the amount of cool stuff in the shop is dope ! Keep up the great work
Video idea? Everyone give their thoughts on it. Parker if you see this lmk what you think. 💪 It’s hard to know what subwoofer box style is the best. You can build every box from sealed, regular ported box, horn enclosure, t-line, 4th order , and 6th order to see what the outcomes of each box will be. Just the vehicle, subwoofer, and amp have to be the same for each test. And the box has to be built to specs. You can get multiple videos out of it.

I appreciate all the info and depth of your videos. You have helped me make some pricey decisions. I'm ready to see your next big build. When is that coming?
How do these compare to the Orion HCCA SPLX series? I have been out of car for almost 2 decades. Ran 2 Orion XTR3s back in the day so i love the brand but these DB's look beast!
Keep in mind folks that this little amp could in fact blow this monstrous subwoofer!! It is easier to blow a subwoofer from distortion and a clipped amplifier than it is from shear power.
Bullshit. Heat blows subs. The only reason a sub blows is power. A small amp is making much more power than you think when it's clipping. He could push that sub as clipped as he wanted on a head unit for example because it can't produce enough power to heat the coil.
Lmmfao I was waiting on this comment. If you set your gains properly you can not blow a sub by underpowering it. If that was the case everytime you turned the volume down you rusk blowing your sub.
@@cdbennett2332 the alternating current signal from the amp, when it is hard clipped, turns into a direct current signal. Direct current on a subwoofer causes the sun to go in one direction and stay there then quickly reverses, instead of smoothly going back and forth. This causes heat to build up in the coil, and can quickly blow subwoofers.
@@bg31282 notice I said if the amplifier is clipping. I did not say if the gains are set properly. Most don’t know how to set their gains correctly and then brag that their powerful Boss amp blows every subwoofer they hook up to it. Properly adjusted gain = a clean AC sine wave Improperly adjusted gain = a DC signal
@91CavGT5 nope....that little time of no movement doesn't make enough heat to change anything. What's actually happening is you are putting double the power or more than you think to the sub. If it gets louder to the point you can hear it when the amp starts clipping that's double the rated power as you can only hear in 3db increments. To get 3 dB is double the power. Your 500 watt amp can output 1000+ clipped. 1000 watts clean or clipped couldn't hurt this sub.
Hey Parker! I bought a American Bass Hawk DVC 10" 700 watt RMS sub and paired it with a Audiopipe APCLE 600 watt RMS D monoblock, both wired in 4ohms, which I prefer. That makes the amp under powered by 100 watts if left in a 4ohm config. Will I be ok? What should I watch out for?
The kicker key amp is completely different amp for a different application. They key to it is the key part and using it for factory radio upgrades and the self tuning..so imo its bigger for a reason
