Hello from Portugal. I am currently using a BenQ ZOWIE RL2455T 24 inch 1080p Gaming Monitor | 1ms 75Hz. I use this monitor to compete in domestic e-league (Fifa ). But im thinking about buying a 27 inch monitor...Can u help me choosing one? Please ..ps i have a budget of 350 $ tks in advance
I got the M27Q and if you want to play at 120hz on PS5 you'll have slight ghosting if running at "balanced" in "overdrive" options (Let me translate to English: to get the 0.5 ms response time you need to change the "overdrive options" to "speed" which makes the images ghost horribly at most refresh rates 60/120 since that's what PS5 will use. You get a little less noticeable ghosting if you run the slightly lesser "overdrive option" at "balanced" [note that "balanced" looks horrible if you run at 60 fps] but you get a decent "balanced" at 120fps which is what I use to play overwatch and other competitive games) 60 fps games that don't need a fast refresh rate like single players look fine at 60 fps using the base "overdrive" option at "picture quality" and 120fps also looks great at "picture quality" with no ghosting whatsoever on either option, but slightly higher input lag. I can notice the input lag, but it's so minimal most players won't notice. I'm a GM player in overwatch (git gud) not because of my monitor tho. I was GM in PS4 with a 60 fps monitor *flexing done* In conclusion: M27Q is good enough for even competitive games, slight ghosting but bearable and the "picture quality" removes ghosting completely, but add very minimal lag. Games like Destiny 2 PVE and Slay the Spire look beautiful at 60 fps with "picture quality" since you don't need super fast response times against AI's you don't lose anything at all. I even played Returnal at 60 fps "picture quality" and the extra ms of input lag didn't get me killed.
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience with this monitor. I have a question : I read online that the M27Q now supports VRR at 1440p on PS5 despite being only HDMI 2.0 is that true? Have you run a VRR test ?
@@reynal_omnicide9217 that's weird, there's literally a UA-camr that has this monitor and made a video after the 1440p VRR update to show in the settings that it works for him. I don't understand
@@adonbanchamek2254 I tried everything when it came out, I'll give it another try later tonight. Edit: I just tried and it just get the message "your TV doesn't support VRR" unless there was an update on the drivers of the monitor I doubt it will work. I did the manual software update to the monitor which was extremely annoying about a year ago. I don't think I'll even try to do it again. That being said I never notice any tearing whenever I play any games and I always play with V-synch turned off on my monitor. I can notice it if I connect my PC to the monitor, so there has to be some magical V-synch alternative working under the scenes that's different from V-synch and VRR and it's enabled by the PS5. Destiny looks perfect, same with Slay The Spire, Overwatch 2, none have screen tearing, not even the 60FPS on Slay The Spire and Destiny PVE, those games look amazing, 120FPS on overwatch 2 or Destiny PVP don't have tearing either. Maybe the games enables V-Synch and it doesn't matter if you turn it off on your monitor. There's a minimal input lag on PS5 compared to PC so I guess that has to be the case.
I'd also like to add (before I watch the video; it came to me in the introduction) that alot of us still have ISP's that limit data.. 1080p uses 2gb/hr, 1440 uses nearly 10 and 4k uses nearly 15! I can't imagine how lag would apply at 120fps, but I don't want to find out at a $1k deficite 😬
Tested the OLED LG. It's is s gorgeous display. But is also VERY dark. I found it so dark it impacted my gameplay, as I just could not see my opponents indoors on PS5. Fiddling with the settings I made some improvements. Turning HDR off had the biggest impact. But that's not what I am paying for imoh. So I returned it.
IMHO its all relevant to your setup and your expectaions. i have the LG Oled and have enjoyed very much for the last 2 months. I have no issue with the brightness of this panel.
monitors have setting to change it for fps games etc... monitors like asus they have the shadow boost and elmb !!! there is not like the tvs...but bro...the oleds have crazy blacks !!!! you have to deal with it in cases !!!! and tbh the black should be black and the white should be white

It might still be a year or more before I should be asking this, but what would be a good dual monitor setup for a PS5/PC setup? Thinking of one good monitor with the HDMI being 2.1 for the gaming half and an okay one to show my stream on. But lots of googled answers say it's ideal to have two matching monitors for that route, but that might be a bit expensive.
I've been researching seems like for months now lol on what to buy for PS5. I initially wanted the LG C2 which I still do but it's not in my budget atm to get up to date my current Vizio TV is 10 years old and it's outdated. However I started looking at gaming monitors instead but I keep asking myself do I really need 4K,VRR, ALLM, etc and all the other specs for a monitor idk 1440p sounds like the better option as far as pricing is. Looking forward to your new video for further explanation love your content!

For 500 dollars it’s brand new came out 2 days ago great middle ground on price that should be able to play 4k at 144 can you look at it and tell me for sure if it’s good for the PS5 !!
I’d be curious to know if this list still holds with all the price drops and new releases. In the market for a new one probably in the 32 size wise, not so concerned with price. Seems like there is always something when it comes to Xbox X. Supports 1440 @120 but not 60 when needed without flicker or you can force it but have to disable vrr or no promises it can even do vrr or 1440 @120 even tho some say it does but it probably doesn’t. Is it worth it to have 4k in the event you have a game supports it or is it a waste however does having a 4k ensure you get 2.1 and best of 1440 options. Just too much and no solid answers
If you have a 1440p monitor don’t use the 1440p compatibility test thing it ruins the timing with the monitor and ps5 I suggest you get into safe mode by holding power button for 2 beeps, click change resolution, then 1440p, when the ps5 starts don’t do the 1440 test and pow unreal gameplay.
