I mostly game on Series X, been playing a lot of Wo Long, the combat is so smooth! ...but since Tears Of The Kingdom just came out today, I see a lot of Nintendo Switch on the horizon for me
I’ve never seen someone cover such a complicated topic so thoroughly. Out of all the educational videos I’ve watched this year on UA-cam this is by far the most clear and concise. Your amazing at communicating your knowledge of the subject. Thank you
I am about to purchase a new monitor and was looking at the LG 27GP850-B and the Gigabyte M27Q. I’m curious how they would stack up against each other. I’m leaning toward the LG because it’s on sale for $350. Is their any reason why I wouldn’t buy the LG?
You actually have no idea how much I appreciate this video. I was really struggling understanding all this tech talk and you made it so clear. Definitely earned a sub for sure.
I can recommend the KTC M27T20, 1440p 165hz (but 144hz if you want the sync tech on) VA, mini led HDR 27". Works well, good HDR, still below 5ms gtg response times.
5:00 the PS5 does not support freesync. The 1440p vrr update was referring to 1440p displays with an HDMI 2.1 port. the only way to get vrr on a PS5 is with HDMI 2.1. 1440p monitors with HDMI 2.1 are very very rare but they do exist.
For console I'm still gaming on a PS4, but for a gaming monitor, I HIGHLY recommend the Gigabyte M32U. 4k, 144Hz, Freesync, 2 HDMI 2.1 ports for the console input. Plus I absolutely love the built-in KVM which lets me switch from my gaming PC to my console or a secondary PC I also use easy cheesy. The picture quality is fantastic and when I do eventually get a PS5 I know that this monitor will deliver.
Not any 4K GPUs. So a 4K monitor is wrong. You need 1440p 160hrz. Not any 4K consoles. Xbox and Playstation upscale to 4k which is like hitting ZOOM on the 4K TV. PS5 is native 1440p, and PS4 is native 1080p.
Starting the process of buying displays for both my sons xBox Series S and my new PS5. Looking for a 27” for the xBox in a bedroom and prob +48” for PS5 in a large gaming room: bottom line : after a couple days research this video is beyond HELPFUL AND INSIGHTFUL. What a fantastic job by this team. Thank you 😊.
I started playing Call of Duty when Modern Warfare 2 came out in 2009. I started on a 55 inch LED TV on Xbox 360, and got pretty good using the set up I started with. However, I played on the same 55 inch TV until 2012 when the TV went out and I had to purchase another. I purchased a 50 inch TV to replace it but never could play at the same level due to the latency. It was very noticeable that my movement, aiming, shooting and everything else was delayed about .200 - .250 milliseconds which ultimately led to me not playing again until 2020 when I decided to attempt to get back into playing, purchased a 27 inch TV for the bedroom of the house we just moved into and hooked my Xbox one up to it. Picked up the latest CoD game and gave it a shot, the smaller screen felt better to play on and seemed much more on point as far as the latency between using the controls and the time it took to register on screen.
I’ll repeat what others have said. I’m rarely impressed with UA-cam channels but this is the best channel I’ve ever seen on this topic. I love the little editing touches that add info that might have gotten overlooked. Great watch for anyone, even the “experts”. 👍🏻
I was weirded out for a sec because you didn't mention ultrawide monitors/mentioned briefly, then i realized the video is meant for consoles 😅. Still waiting for 2023 ultrawide recommendation :D
My biggest issue using a monitor rather than a Tv for my consoles is the poor sound support coming from Sony and Microsoft. I still need to use a 3.5 mm cable plugged in to my sound bar because there is no Bluetooth support for the so called " Next Gen" consoles. Very cheeky from both companies to force us to use only their products such as headphones.
Amazing video - insanely helpful! QQ - Would you still go for the Acer Predator 32" model over the gigabyte M32U? Friends have been recommending the Odyssey Neo G7 32", but finding it hard to justify the price when it seems there are options that are just as good for PS5 gaming. Thanks again!
Great video as per usual! I kinda wanna ad something @ 24:10 These tv's are usually discounted even more at Black Friday. Not sure if its worth it to wait half a year for a few hundred dollars, but most retailers (even local tv shops near your house) likely sell these at online prices. I'd rather deal with a local tv store (and much rather give them my business than Amazon) for warranty etc.
A friend bought a C2 weeks ago on an online retail store here in Mexico and when it was time for delivery they werent able to fullfill his purchase. They were told the manufacturer was already focused on switching to make the newer model (the C3) so they ended production of the C2 already. Luckily for my friend he got an upgrade to a C3 TV without having to pay for the difference. I don't know if the C2's are going to be available long enough at other stores globally.
I’m surprised you don’t have the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7. It is the BEST monitor for PS5 if you have the money to spend. Luckily I got the Neo G8 used at micro center for 800
Excellent video I was confused.... I bought a 4k TV for my Xbox series x and it sucks I need a good monitor can you recommend anything large and high end much appreciated
personally found that 1440p 32in 144hz is the sweet spot for me, and IPS is a must. I've used a VA panel before, but not so great because I don't usually play competitive games.
First time I ever subscribe in UA-cam . The way you breakdown every single details . Superb! Easy to understand and what buyers need when it comes to buying gadgets. Thank you. Keep it up!
Hi Jason! I'm considering the TV Sony x85k 43 inch 4k 120Hz as my main monitor for PC gaming. What do you think about it? It costs about $600 rn. Thanks!

Hey, I need to buy a new monitor for my Xbox series S all digital. Do you think the 32” LG 32GN550-B from your recommendations section would be a good fit for me? I can’t buy anything to expensive; I know you recommend the 1440p for Xbox series s but I cannot find the perfect fit for me. Can you please help? 🙏🏽

Any thoughts on the CORSAIR XENEON FLEX for a cpu as I'm looking for a new curved 4K monitor. Do you think its worth the price or is the whole flex thing just a gimmick to get you to pay more? We have a xbox but I mostly game on the cpu. Right now into COD and War Thunder but looking forward to D4 coming out next month.
2 hours ago i had a mess in my mind thinking on which monitor should I get, after seen your videos I realized I was going to get just the wrong one, i Have a PS5 and a small spot to play COD MW3. I had already in the cart a UHD LG Monitor, after seen your videos I just ordered the Gigabyte M27Q-P, thank you for an amazing content. Greetings from Tijuana, Mexico.
Great Video! So does this 1440p monitors do 120hz 1440p in the PS5 through the HDMI 2.0? I’ve heard Freesync it’s no available unless you have HDMI 2.1 even with the march update, so I’m not sure if PS5 can do 120hz 1440p in any monitor with HDMI 2.0
In your opinion, how will the price trend develop? I'm looking to buy a new 4K 120Hz monitor but if the price drops significantly in the next 6 months I'll wait a little longer.
On PC builder recommendation I've been using a Gigabyte M27Q-P with my PS5 and PC since last September. It's been rock solid and defiantly made me a fan of Gigabytes monitor offerings.
What resolution/monitor would you go with for someone who plays a FPS game on Xbox series X like Apex legends which is currently capped at 60FPS but eventually will get a 120fps update?
Honestly up to you I’m going with 1080p bc I’m on a budget but still spending on a monitor with higher hz. You’ll have to spend more with 1440p and higher hz bc the higher the resolution the more expensive and higher the frames the more expensive. I’m just choosing to spend on my frames more than the resolution.
Thank you so much! I am up to buy a console and couldn't figure out how all this resolution and framerate settings works on consoles until now. On PC its much easier. This is the only video on youtube that helps me to figure out what i need. Much thanks for the monitors recomendations!
hey i have a question i don’t know much about monitors . i want to buy an xbox series x and play 4k at 120hz and i want a 32” which one is do you recommend me ? the Gigabyte M32U or the Predator or the Ace Predator XB28 or is there a better option
Thank You for explaining it well. I learned a lot as ‘am going to buy a new monitor for my ps5. I would like to ask a question if you don’t mind. As I’ve done some research on the web all I’m seeing is that VRR will only work in 1440p with hdmi 2.1. So with the new update does VRR works with ps5 in 1440p even if the monitor is only HDMI 2.0 compatible?
Hi, great video! I have a Xbox series s and I wanna run 120fps and would like 1440p. I strictly play Fortnite and wanna get the most out of my console. Can you suggest a monitor for me to get right now around $250ish. I’m down to use your Amazon link as well. Thank you.
Great video although I have one question. I was looking at the LG 32GN600-B before watching this and now I’m wondering what the difference between the 600 and the 650 is. Just wondering if the $50 difference is worth it for the 650
I have a question about the Samsung Odyssey G50A since you seem to have skipped it in the video. I prefer curved monitors and it seemed perfect but would I be able to run HDR on it? I had a monitor that had claimed to run HDR but when it came down to it my console said i did not have the ability to do HDR. With this monitor would that be the same situation with me being on the Series S or am I all good to grab this monitor. Thanks!
This was such a great video! I’m looking for a monitor specifically to watch ufc fights / discord / stream / play ufc games on Xbox series x. What would you recommend ?
I just bought the CFG73 27' curved samsung monitor from my co-worker for $100 and it still cost $370 for beinf 6yrs old . Even threw in a basic monitor for free and it usuallt costs $100.
@@PCBuilderChannel 1 question about the LG 32GN850-B. It has a fairly low PPI of 93. Is this not a major drawback of this screen. I would love a 32inch screen but those screens do have a lower ppi. I really don’t know if this is noticeable bad or just not that bad as I think it is.
Nice overview. I was wondering about something. I have two HP X27q 1440p monitors in a dual screen setup. I know mult screen setup affect GPU performance and was wondering if having identical monitors pluged into the same GPU could cause an issue.
Yes, the experience you get on those monitors will come down to if you GPU can handle two monitors. Hop over to our Best Gaming Monitors 2023 video for more on PC gaming
Hi, I see u listed the Dell S2722DGM. Have u ever used it? In my region its the only reasonably-priced 1440p 27" 165hz monitor. I want to know if it has very bad black smearing. I am coming from a 24" 144hz IPS panel
Can the one on 13:50 be decent for other than gaming? I only plan to play 1 game and i may feel like to use it for watching perhaps if it’s possible 😭 pardon me i have no good experience in monitors, and pls grant me with info if you know about it
What console do you game on? And what are your favorite games?

PS5 and I am loving Horizon Forbidden West. Takes advantage of the VRR and 120hz(40fps) modes :)
PS5 and Overwatch

I still have a very old and dusty PS2 Slim somewhere, and occasionally I'll play Katamari Damacy :D

I’m down to use your Amazon link as well.
Thank you.
was just researching this thanks! 😂❤
Glad the timing worked out! Hope it was helpful :)
Great videos, very informative. Answered question i had and ones i should have lol 😅
Glad you found it so informative! Happy to answer :)
Any of these recommendations will do great for this!
10:50 I just bought the AOC 27G2 but mine is curved and has 165hz. But its the exact same model you displayed am i misunderstanding something.
Ive been looking to upgrade my monitor, thanks jason!
I just bought the CFG73 27' curved samsung monitor from my co-worker for $100 and it still cost $370 for beinf 6yrs old . Even threw in a basic monitor for free and it usuallt costs $100.
Awesome vid m8. Thanks for this. I’m on the scout for a new monitor for my PC,Xbox series x and PS5. So this review is top notch. 😁🤜👍
Glad we could help! Thank you for watching!
Is the Aoc 24G2E a good monitor to buy?
Nice overview. I was wondering about something. I have two HP X27q 1440p monitors in a dual screen setup. I know mult screen setup affect GPU performance and was wondering if having identical monitors pluged into the same GPU could cause an issue.
Yes, the experience you get on those monitors will come down to if you GPU can handle two monitors. Hop over to our Best Gaming Monitors 2023 video for more on PC gaming
5:27 so if the PS5 supports VRR at 1440p does that mean it works with HDMI 2.0 ?
Or do you still need 2.1 for VRR
Is the gp750 lg good for me to get for xbox series x
If ur playing fps competive games on PS5, is there any advance what resolution should be used?
Hi, I see u listed the Dell S2722DGM. Have u ever used it? In my region its the only reasonably-priced 1440p 27" 165hz monitor. I want to know if it has very bad black smearing. I am coming from a 24" 144hz IPS panel
great video! my job has me driving over the road a lot so I needed a monitor for my Xbox.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support! :)
By far, the best video concerning gaming monitors. Great job!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much for that! We're just glad you enjoyed it ;)
What would yall recommend for someone who plays on a ps5 and for call of duty?!
Can the one on 13:50 be decent for other than gaming? I only plan to play 1 game and i may feel like to use it for watching perhaps if it’s possible 😭 pardon me i have no good experience in monitors, and pls grant me with info if you know about it
Absolutely!
What about the LG 27GP850-B? Is that still a good option?
The ViewSonic XG2341 monitor has the best motion clarity for the price. 240hz 1080p 24" IPS display for $279 and certified by BlurBusters!
Actually just switched from the ASRock Phantom PG27Q15R2A 27" 1440p to the gigabyte M32QC and it is so much better
Hi, I am bit confused for purchasing a 1080p gaming monitor Pl. Advice gigabyte g24f2 or AOC24g2sp which one best for PS5 for 120fps?
Dont you need hdmi 2.1 for vrr to work?
Thank you so much you really helped me! I wasn’t sure if I could do 1440p @ 120hz w/VRR … thank you 🙏🏼
So glad that we could help you out! And thank you for watching!
@@PCBuilderChanneli want to play a couple games with VRR at 1440p native. So I definitely won’t get any screen tearing?
