I have been using this monitor for my xbox series X for 2 years now, and I have to say I have no complaints. Even 2 years later, this monitor still works like it’s brand new with no dead pixels or any sort of screen issues, and the sharpness and color accuracy as well as how vibrant the colors look in general is just 10/10. This monitor is still one of the best 1440p monitors out there, and I couldn’t ask for a more perfect display for my series X.
Do you have Rev 1 or Rev 2 (this one) You know if you watch the box it came in (all features is in 1 line) also the stand is montaged with screws instead of this one where it just clicks in and out.
I have had one for about 2 years now BUT it has terrible IPS glow if you play on it during the night. The entire bottom edge of the monitor just glows brightly, but its not noticeable so long as there is ambient light nearby or above me.
@@casedistorted yeah the monitor does have pretty bad IPS glow. But, it’s only noticeable when the screen goes completely black, which isn’t much of an issue for gaming
@@suhaaschennapragada5711 I wish mine was only noticeable when going completely black. If I use the monitor in a dark room, the IPS Glow is really bad and noticeable, almost like the entire bottom of the monitor wasn't sealed properly. It is not noticeable otherwise when played in a room with lights, which is how I look at it most of the time. I used to play growing up on my dad's gaming PC in the late 90's and early 2000's in dark rooms to immerse myself, but now that I am older I can't handle the bright screen by itself anymore. Maybe it was different when on CRT gaming monitors since they weren't so harsh on the eyes (still have a 32 inch Sony Trinitron TV next to me that weighs 170 pounds), but with superbright modern LCD panels it is too harsh on the eyes unless I turn the settings WAY down. I have been looking into an OLED panel to replace this M27Q but not sure how much I need to spend in order to get a vastly better experience over this thing.
Getting myself one soon. Spent a lot of time comparing reviews of competing monitors and this seems to be the one for me. Bright, great colors, low input lag, and one response time setting to rule them all. I'm excited.
Built a PC for my bro and got one of these monitors to go with it. Even after looking at my OLED monitor, I'm still impressed but how good the M27Q looks!
This. I'm undecided in getting this monitor to connect my laptop to. I'm used to using OLED screens (my laptop & tv are OLEDs). So I don't know if I will be satisfied with this monitor. Damn OLED monitors are crazy expensive!
Good 1440p monitors are getting more affordable to near 1080p ones. Acer Nitro XV271UM3Bmiiprfx is now £179.90 Amazon UK. Amazon USA has similar XV272U V3bmiiprx for $229.99
There is one thing I don’t like about the very cheap monitors tho. They are not bright enough. They’re usually 250 nits. And this one is 350 nits which is a lot nicer. Especially if you are in a well-lit room.
@@theivadim For sure, you will notice a lot more as a content creator, looking at hrs of videos and pictures. When you start going past HDR400/ 600, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and all that jazz. It gets a whole heap more expensive to get the sweet visuals you are satisfied with.
Do you mean the M27U? I haven't used it. But I was considering it when I was choosing a monitor this time. Although, I'd get the M32U 4K monitor if I had a bigger budget. Because I need more screen space for productivity tasks. But M27U or M28U both appear to be good IPS choices for gaming.

I have HP version which have also some RGB and i really love it awesome colors and it's accuracy with insanely great dynamic contrast no backlight issues but about HDR um i saw somewhere comment: at 120hz can display 10bit colors...but i don't think so which is needed for good HDR or real hdr anyway in my opinion this monitor don't really need it so i will get another one but 4k 27"
Yes. That's the port I use to connect my Macbook. However, keep in mind that the monitor can provide only 15W charge. So, you'll need to have your Macbook plugged into power via charger if you don't want your to loose battery charge during intensive tasks. For me that is video editing. But if you are just browsing the web and doing things that don't use that much power then 15W is fine.
