My Lamborghini Huracan STO COMES ALIVE! First Flat Out Track Day

- It's time to unleash my new Lamborghini Huracan STO! For the first outing with the track focused bull, I'm at Donington Park where we can hear the V10 scream and really get a feel for what this mad machine is all about in its natural habitat.
It's only been a few weeks, but having quickly piled on the miles to the STO it's now ready and raring to go, so what better to get out on track and drive it exactly as intended. With the day hosted by The Glenturret Whiskey, and organised by Axiom Events, the team from Lamborghini Pangbourne were present and this made a perfect opportunity with thankfully dry tarmac to push the Lambo.
The Huracan STO has heavy aero influences from the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO race car and is very much intended to be the motorsport variant for the road. Up to now I've done quite a few road miles where I've felt like it's just constantly screaming to be driven harder and out of the track it really comes into its own. The heavier steering in Trofeo mode all of a sudden feels like it has the right weight, the harsh ride keeps it compliant on the smooth surface of the circuit, and the noise... well what needs to be said!
Thanks to Axiom and The Glenturret for hosting the day! I also squeezed in a few laps with the GT Black Series, and that thing is a different league of performance. More on that soon...

You can see Tim is not in love with the STO. Looks disappointed in both the speed and handling. Sounds amazing though.

Awesome vid Tim, one thing I felt I picked up on is the energy you have with that car. Doesn't seem like it's totally your cup of tea. Where if you compare yourself with your other car there seems to be something missing in the connection with it. Look forward to the next vid

Love Donington, it’s a nice circuit to drive and for spectators, have to get on it again next year 👍 the Ring is great to turn up and go, but more U.K. circuits please 👍
Love that Lambo. I watched Topaz work on it on their UA-cam channel and the closeup shots of the color and the car in general gave me a new appreciation for the color.

I'm very excited to see what you think of the STO on the Nurburgring. I wonder if you'd be enjoying it more if you didn't have the Black Series in the garage? When you have something like the STO but also have a car that seems to do everything the STO can do even better, it must be hard to properly enjoy it.

It looks like the STO had you through the paces... lol the faces it had you making. I could only imagine the kinds faces i would be making.
Love the sound. Very interesting to get your candid comparison of the GT Black vs STO. Sitting in the UA-cam chair the GTB seemed ballistic fast on the ring. The Lambo is a flashy looking great sounding car for zipping around. The GTB is a track weapon.

lol definitly not when the brakes overheat after just 4 laps. a real track car should be able to do lap after lap after lap without overheating, thats why you get a track car in the first place to not have any of these problems.

@@17luke TC is traction control, has nothing to do with brakes.
