Rewinding back to the very first video ever on the Shmee150 channel, from 18th January, 2010, and the time I filmed a Rosso Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia, and an Arancio Atlas Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 SV that were attending a Top Gear Magazine awards dinner at Bibendum in London. In recent years I have become enamoured with both cars; for what they represent as cars, and what they mean personally to what's happened in my life since that first video upload.
Today, we welcome my friend Richard from Challenge The Road, who is currently having a new garage built and in the meantime has allowed me to house one of his extraordinary machines, a car that means an awful lot to me, his Murci SV. Not only that, but he's also driven down with the CTR Vantage, his take on a 4.7 Vantage S, building the perfect machine with new suspension, lightweight parts, new wheels and plenty more. The MURCI SV must be the best looking Lamborghini since the Miura. Absolute perfection,especially in that spec.
It’s just magnificent. It has soul this Murcielago. It really has.

The Murcielago SV in exactly that spec is my childhood poster car. The only thing missing is the big painted SV logo's on the rear arches.

I completely agree the robotised manuals are an experience in themselves, more mechanical feel, yes clunky, but when you’re on it they bash the gears in.
I am lucky that I have a PDK, DCT, a few autos and few manuals, and also an SMG III (e63 M6), so I have some good experience to lean on.
The SMG is an experience, and you do have to adjust your driving style to get the most from it. It is of it’s time and I think that’s a part of it for me.

This is my number one dream car, one day I’m going to have one, I’m determined. There are only 8 here in Australia, four Bianco Isis, one Nero Aldebaran, one Nero Nemesis, one Giallo Orion and one Arancio Atlas. If I ever ended up with the Giallo Orion or Arancio Atlas ones, I’d be a very happy man. Love it Tim, I’d hope you’d be looking to keep one long term!

Amazing! What an incredible machine! It is pretty shocking how overlooked it is vs an Aventador SV or SVJ. I would take a Murcielago SV over them any day!

Don't be too harsh on UK weather, I was there September & the whole week was at least 30°, hot & sunnier than at home in Split Croatia. (Zagreb was really cold this week) 🥶 Murcy SV is so incredible, really enjoyed listening to Richard

I love Aston Martin cars especially the DBS Series. They have an incredible character about them that’s unique. The Murci SV is an amazing car as well
This car is from the time when I first went to the Lamborghini factory. It holds a special place for me because its the time when I started getting really into, and learning about supercars. And I think its design still holds up today.
Love the merci sv i recovered one a few years ago that seen the wrong side of a hedge chassis 232 if I remember right I’ve got some pictures of it somewhere same colour as this

Beautiful car 👍🏻 My neighbor in Michigan growing up in the 80s had a countach, and Jack Roush lived in my neighborhood as well and had an original Shelby cobra race car.
Loved the Countach like most 80s kids did at the time, he would take me for many rides. The older I get now (almost 44) I think the Miura and Merci are best looking to me nowadays.

I have those same Apex VS5-RS wheels on my 440i, LOVE them, they look awesome on the Vantage!
What an absolutely mad car. Not saying Audi hasn't done a great job with Lambo, because they really have, and they are the ones who saved the brand. But LP670-4 is the last Lamborghini that Audi hadn't managed to clean up. And because it's the Lambo of my generation, this will forever be my favorite.
ur taste in cars has been on point! lambo is definitely one of the other few to keep an eye on going forward! i've also been keeping an eye on audi!

i love the tip for tan leather! people have no idea how difficult it is to clean blue dye off of leather, or how easily jeans transfer color.
The Aston being an automated manual, I'm assuming you can manual convert it fairly easy. Would be a good thing to do to yours!

I suspect the air intakes are different because the engine is offset, to equate to the same air consumption from each side.

I have Murci sv model almost identical to that car I got as a child, it’s my all time dream car, a few years ago I went to the lambo factory and I was very excited to see everything but of all the cars I hoped to see was a murci sv no luck unfortunately, hopefully one day!

42psi seems really high for that type of tire. My Tesla model 3 Performance takes 42 on Hankook EV specific tyres. I’m sure you’re right just thought it sounded high compared to my own tires.
