just imagine her anger and rage if and when she finds out the witness caused the whirlwind and chased the traveler from Riis and that the Witness was behind it all and the traveler was forced away. currently she doesn't know that the witness forced the traveler to flee she thinks it just upped and left randomly.
Eramis and her wife? And they had kids....? Didn't know that! 😶 Can u please go into detail about this. Or if u can, make a video on the biology of all the species that we know so far, it would be great!
Honestly I would think the station was known just not what it was and most likely avoided I mean if Rasputin was in control of it and he wasn't the most welcoming. It's totally possible until Clovis and Elizabeth showed up no one would know ana might have but all of these people haven't been the most forthcoming with information
@@lokeshkoka1296 thats actually quite complicated. but because Athris and Eramis are both female i would assume that maybe they either had cells collected from the one and implanted into eggs to fertilize them or male eh seaman donated from a doner. it is complicated considering Eliksni are egg laying
I got the voiceline when that fight started. When she said that "the witness will bring back all that are killed by the machine spawn" I noticed how tired and sad she sounded.
@@Caliif I really hope this doesn’t end in her doing something drastic. I want Eramis to be our ally a lot but I fear she may end up going all out and ending everything at the thought of her house dying and being revived by the darkness, twisted into the monster we see made of Praxis
Major spoiler but it's actually our cookies. They're sol renowned after we fed Zavala 140289 of them this past week. She's joining us so she can get some peanut butter plundys next dawning.
An interesting thought. My whole thought process about Eramis is that she was both Trapped, and unwilling to allow herself a chance at the future, and thus, while not loyal to the witness, she still worked with them.
A lot of people missed that this was the point of last season. Eramis is basically the opposite of Mithrax. Mithrax believes that anybody can be redeemed while Eramis believes that she does not deserve a second chance and thinks it’s just part of her nature
@@jupitergaming5146 Correct me if I'm wrong here but, doesn't Eramis just flat out not have a choice in the matter? Isn't her ONLY option to give in and accept servitude to The Witness, with the alternative being a return to her icy prison or just death? Maybe I've misunderstood something but I recall at the start of Plunder she basically just gets threatened with death if she doesn't cooperate.
Initially I thought Mithrax would be the first Light Bearer Elixni, but Eramis seems to be slowly heading towards the "Devotion, Bravery, Sacrifice" stance with how she keeps getting emotionally dragged around by Eido and The Witness. But regardless... one way or another, something is going to happen and someone is going to die. And yes, guardians do commit War Crimes, on the regular when you think about it. I mean, we genocide entire battalions for a fancy gun that we toss out because one thing is wrong with it.
As far as we know the geneva convention doesn't exist in the destiny universe, so are they really war crimes Eramis becoming the first eliksni guardian would be really interesting
@@Caliif It's either that or she becomes an Exo and bails to the House of Light now with 0 memories. I can see that happening as the DSC is still "open to all."
"there are laser barriers we haven't been able to collapse" But we HAVE been able to just sword through them. Truly the sword logic opens paths to new destinations.
You can also execute a perfectly timed slide. Sprint up to the barrier, and just when it looks like you touch the barrier, slide. It for some reason clips you through the barrier.
During the mission my friend just said”great we just committed a war crime. That’s cool” My response was “there no war crimes in space besides it’s only a war crime if you lose the war” Also pretty sure gambit is worse then any war crime
Eh screw house salvation. They’re working on behalf of a genocial darkness god and invaded a complex and space station owned by humanity within earths orbit. We get to play as dirty as they do.
I don't think it's a war crime! It's a war crime for soldiers who are *in the process of surrendering* to re-initiate hostilities, but after they have been interned, they are no longer surrendering soldiers, but prisoners of war; and prisoners of war are not only allowed to attempt to escape, it is considered their first duty.
There's a lore tab about the station (I think it's one of the season's cosmetics that has it). It mentions that all attempts to approach the station beforehand have been cut apart by automated laser fire. Recently, a single Cabal ship was observed getting through, and after that the Witness's allies have been able to board. Because of the laser defenses there wasn't a way to get aboard in the past, so I'm ok assuming that somebody in the Vanguard was aware of it and didn't care to waste resources attempting to do anything with it.
And it's not the first time we've heard of an orbital platform like this with active defenses that made it inapproachable. Back in Season of the Worthy there was a lorebook, or maybe a web lore, where Ana infiltrated such a station over Uranus iirc and had to hack her way through the defenses to not get killed.
Kind of like how at the end of the Fallen SABER strike when our ghost asks Zavala if we have tried to contact Rasputin. Zavala said something about how the lady fire team that tried was left across the skyway as dust…
I have a theory that maybe Eramis is staying on the side of the Witness not just for loyalty or other motives, but maybe because it's the Witness who's keeping Eramis from freezing again by her own Stasis power. Maybe it's that fear that if she betrays him, she will end up on ice again. And it would be a really neat moment, too, if that happens, and Eramis manages to control Stasis herself, just like us when facing her, as her focus and objectives become clearer to herself.
This somewhat reminds me of Rhulk's story in the sense that both have immediate dread for being on the side of the Witness. However, the difference is that Rhulk was later convinced into the Witness's goals and ideology whilst Eramis has her own beliefs. Perhaps the Witness is attempting a similar brainwash?
@@Gee-bg2rv Yep. Eramis is very clearly alligned with the interest of protecting her people. Ultimately the goals of the Witness cannot co-exist with Eramis' interests. Rhulk was never so protective of his people, and he went on to believe what he did was for the best. He was very critical of his species, which if I recall correctly he mentions in the monologue you can find from the first interaction point at the end of the Preservation mission.
I had the thought that Eramis probably knew our surrender was fake, because when has our guardian ever surrendered? So, I figured she allowed us to be “captured” knowing that we couldn’t progress further into the station otherwise, and so we could complete our mission. Like indirectly helping us in a way that isn’t obvious.
@@Kjf365 She hates us, but the traveler hasn't done anything near the level of evil that the Witness has. And it was made VERY CLEAR that Eramis hates the Witness more than anything for the crimes they have committed against her family.
I don't think she'd be willing to sacrifice her people on the ketch for it, though. She would have told them to just be elsewhere and not around us or the cells in general to spare them from us escaping.
@@Kjf365 she's gone to just straight-up hating both gods now. The messages left in the spire has her claiming 'we have no need of gods' and urging us to abandon them both. Safe to say I think Eramis has enough hatred in her heart for both of 'em lol
"I can not believe they fell for that!" Eramis and her Elisksni: "We are honorable. The Guardian has done some honorable things and House light speaks highly of them. I'm sure they'll honorably stay in the cage." Stranger: *hands us guns* Go commit a crime
I feel like the Seraph station can be explained by Season of Worthy with the fact that the missiles/warsats launched from it and it has been there ever since.
That... actually makes sense. We weren't launching ordinance we were launching satellites. Some of them were configured to make a new seraph station. And of course the warmind would put it above the last bastion of humanity.
The existence of a Golden Age station in Earth orbit that is simply locked down hard enough that no one has gotten in since then doesn't really strain my suspension of disbelief at all, personally.
@@anotherkenlon I agree especially since it's taken the combined efforts of Ana, Elsie, Clovis and ourselves to gain access. The vanguard could've known about it but it's importance was considered inconsequential since no one could glean any information of substance about it. That in my mind would explain why there is no previous mention of it in the lore, it's existence and links to the warmind system were just thought to be irrelevant/inconsequential.
@@michaellevett7057 Hell, it could even just been thought of as standard Golden Age stuff but never could get access so just left alone to not risk anything. THere's no way for them to know if it was Warmind or not, and not having access was very common for basically everything so it's not crazy to be unable to get inside. And on top of the fact it's possible it was powered down/inactive until Season of the Worthy made it even less note worthy.
I like that Praxis does not look like a scorn immediately after being revived. It tells that the fallen that are resurrected through dark ether don't necessarily acquire the scorn traits malformations immediately but through repeated resurrection by dark ether acquire it. So by that logic, Praxis must have been revived very recently. I know Pyriks could fit in that category but I think that's an error in models
Model error. This is the first time we've seen Pyriks, so Bungie won't waste time making a new model for a seasonal activity boss. Since we know and killed Praxis, it's easier to reuse his model as well.
@@erroroflife187 There's actually a ton of stuff different about Parxis too. Obviously there's the dead, rotting skin of the Scorn but there's also the Stasis throughout his body due to the broken Pyramid tech he has, which mirrors some Scorn ravengers and even some additional metal plating of Scorn design, clearly coloured blue instead of the usual Yellow of Fikrul aligned Scorn or Purple of Witness controlled Scorn. A lot of the changes are pretty minor, you really have to look for them, it's kinda cool honestly.
Well, the scorn barons from the Tangled Shore are much more grotesque due to being just filthy pirates. At least Praksis is a little more professionally dressed.
This mission is so freakin' cool. DSC is my fav raid by far-- so seeing this as like, DSC lite was super awesome. And the lore. The LORE. I'm just feeling more n' more bad for Eramis tbh
Feels good with the lore, but yet again Bungie give us an unnecessarily complex mission to navigate with basically no guide. The buttons were super hard to spot at times, switching out augments meant doors didn't open and you get confused, swap augments again and then it works, makes no sense. Just frustratingly vague.
@@Dynasty1818 All exotic missions made in Destiny 2 are hard the first time. What's the point of making a visually stunning place and an exotic mission in that like this if you can breeze through everything with just one button per room? Also every time you pick up an augment (and not just the first time) you get a description of what it does. If alongside the guide's text it also marks everything in the mission for you, again what is even the point of playing a game if not to get mechanically entertained?
I remember in the Red War, the opening cutscene-it's mentioned that there is a series of satellites orbiting about Earth/The Last City, which the Vanguard uses for data collection and defensive purposes. Y'know, the ones that were taken out of commission, thus allowing the Red Legion invade the city in a surprise attack. Perhaps the Seraph Station is a part of that satellite network.
The Veles-X lore tab mentions that the Vanguard have known about Seraph Station But anyone who gets close is cut to pieces by its defenses. Until the house Salvation ketch arrived there, followed by a Cabal ship
It wouldn't surprise me if the Witness pursued Eramis, depriving us of a possible ally. Its also clear to me that a good portion of House Salvation are still loyal to the Witness and that the Wrathborn and Scorn made from this house are most likely possible defectors or the conflicted members with the loyal being spared. I'm also think that we may see both Phylaks and Kridis risen as Scorn as well. Interesting things going on with House Salvation at the moment.
I don't know if members of House Salvation are willingly loyal to The Witness. They're following Eramis, who's still their Kell, and is stuck serving The Witness. Scorn are created from dead Fallen, they don't have a say in the matter, quite literally. Eramis sounded so defeated and exhausted when she spoke about Praxis being resurrected by the Witness
@@oryxfirstnavigator4795 She did and if both Phylaks and Kridis came back, it would break her even more, particularly Phylaks since they both fought at Twilight Gap but I would expect some members of House Salvation and their followers, perhaps some lieutenants amongst Eramis's ranks to follow the Witness either out of fear or pursuit of power like Eramis had gained.
@@oryxfirstnavigator4795 I first heard it as Salvation being used or processed as cannon fodder. They're either turned into Wrathborn to supplement Xivu's forces and/or slaughtered to be turned into Scorn. And Eramis is being forced to watch these processes.
@@thecrimsoncommando3875 It does raise a question though, despite Eramis fleeing at the end of Season of Plunder, how does she know about all this. Agents of her house feeding her intel, probably but I feel that the Witness is watching her, her every move. It sounds like she's a prisoner yet we know she kinda ain't cause of her comms with us, Elsie and Mara.
This subplot with Eramis makes me incredibly sad, the storytelling is amazing. I get the feeling that she will betray the witness, a d I think she will be killed. But I can see two different paths that could follow, in one she becomes the first eliksni lightbarer, or she is transformed into scorn by the witness.
Eramis's story is pretty heavy on tragedy at the moment. She is clearly stressed out beyond belief, and with all of our allies poking and prodding at her with the moral highground and the Witness threatening to kill her themself, she is bound to snap. I imagine she's going to lash out in a dramatic way- Probably against the Witness, and she's going to die because of it. But she won't stay dead for long. She'll be reborn- As Scorn. Or...Lightbearer..? ...Or...BOTH?! Can that even happen? For her sake, I hope not. That sounds painfully traumatic.
Random, but if the sentry towers are so strong they keep both hive AND Cabal at bay and apparently the people on Neptune have even crazy Tech actually make me terrified at how STRONG the Witness is and its fleet, because if currently earth's weapons are beating back two super powerful factions all about WAR then holy hell the Witness must be holding their cards to their chest and not playing them until absolutely needed
Eremis sounded so defeated in this mission, it damn nearly broke my heart Edit: hol up my mind just farted an idea out. Is Eremis the Kell of Kells? What if she betrays the Witness, dies, and is resurrected by the Traveler? Probably not but what if?
@@Epicbrodude31 like I said, just a random idea my brain farted out. Trying no to make assumptions and looking at other candidates. The Traveler does have funny ideas on who to bestow the Light to.
Mithras has more of a candidacy for the title than Eramis rather then having the official title, as far as i'm aware the Eliksni are still in competition for who truly deserves that title. Eramis dying and being reborn as a risen would leave Mithraks in a strange position and mindset, on one hand the heretic to his beliefs just took what he has strived to earn since his change of heart at our hands, on the other, the risen Eramis would be basically like Crow, amnesic, confused, and resented. not to mention the Witness would be DEEPLY insulted that one of their henchmen was blessed by their enemy, a ironic sort of "taking." also Crow would have a field day meeting someone in similar shoes like him. a dark legacy and its karmic weight placed upon them from (re)birth.
@@jonnysilia5740 A side thought on that too... Namrask. Why bring up Namrask, who is arguably the bigger villain than even Eramis given how he's despised by both the people of the City for London and other atrocities, while also hated by other Eliksni for abandoning children while fleeing the Whirlwind. Misraakskel can forgive Namrask... he can forgive an amnesiac Eramis.
I expect Eramis to sacrifice herself for Eido, then be brought back as the first Eliksni guardian while also letting her shed her tragic past and start over. Fits with a redemption story line we seem to be seeing in the game as it is.
I was hoping that's what happened during the Splicer season to truly connect the 2 species. Misraaks sacrificing himself to protect Saint and being resurrected as the first Eliksni guardian, and being re-taught his life and his people's history by his daughter who knows it. Hell, Eliksni might be more than capable of being Guardians, but never became one because none of the Ghosts ever actually looked at them for traces of Light. If the Hive can because they were touched by the Traveler before, there's no reason to think Eliksni can't.
Eramis is gonna be Bungie's new Arbiter, in terms of storytelling. Has faith in one thing, then betrays that faith once all of the pieces come together for her to realize she's been living a lie. Only for her to join us to fight against the Darkness in the end. A remake of Arbiter's line from Halo 3 of "We trade one villain for another.", but with our Guardian and Eramis back to back surround by the Darkness' forces, only for Crow to arrive with a ship to save us.
06:41 This station was formerly under the control of Rasputin before season of arrival. And before the season of the worthy, Rasputin would gladly without hesitation kill anyone and thing going near there. So it was very known as a death trap to be ignored
I think the station has always been there, as there are likely many abandoned stations in orbit from the collapse (just look at all the orbital debris in our world now lmao). The city doesn't really have time to investigate all of them. Plus this station was controlled by Rasputin until he 'died' right? I think after the Iron Lords the city learned not to mess with Rasputin. Plus this platform is supposedly where many of the warsats are launched from so it makes sense it is in a low earth orbit and nearby at most times.
You’re asking a lot of the right questions this season. I was also wondering why we’ve never heard of this seraph station. I could understand that it’s well defended and we couldn’t have boarded it but it’s massive and it’s right above the city. Surely someone would have tried
I've honestly thought that at the end of the season, Eramis will force us to kill her as she's too scared of the Witness to betray it directly, or she does try to betray the Witness, but is then turned into a Scorn.
I assume we always knew the station was there but back then Rasputin was more than likely protecting it and as for in recent time it's likely as mentioned the space stations defenses kept things at bay until the witness wakes up eramis and starts yelling at her
I feel like Eramis is going to become a very powerful Scorn in the future, but when we fight her there will be traces of who she was before. Imagine you're fighting Eramis, Once Fallen, and you get broken voice lines about Misraaks, or Spider.... or even Eido. I wouldn't put The Witness above punishing her for the repeated failures by giving her a front row seat to.... "Salvation"
I've been liking Eramis's development last season and this season, she has become a great antagonist. I hope she betrays the Witness, but I fear she will be punished and turned into a Scorn. It would be horrifying to see her as a Scorn.
I was thinking this same thing, it would be a gut wrenching turn of events but I think its great writing. Eramis spends eons doing "the wrong thing," and then she finally has her good guy moment and gets Scorn'd for it.
I think something important to note here is that we may actually see a war for her fate going on. Eramis already fits two of the three core tenets for Guardian-hood; Devotion and Bravery. Devotion both to the Eliksni and her family, and Bravery enough to attempt to defy the fate of her people at all circumstances. The Witness may attempt to make a Scorn of her, but we may well see Eramis betraying the Witness as the final key; Sacrifice. Eramis is one of the only major named Eliksni who has experience wielding Paracausal powers; even if only Stasis, she's connected in a way no other living Eliksni is. It also removes the core issue of her remaining with the Eliksni; her shattered memory of Riis. She's all but admitted that the world Eido wants to build has no room for people broken by Riis' fall like she was. But as a Lightbearer, that memory would hinder her no longer.
With regards to the Last City not knowing about the station: Geostationary orbit is *much* further away than it appears in game. It's 15% of the way to the Moon! The station is not directly over the Last City, and even a few degrees of offset at that distance results in a truly enormous search area. If the station wasn't loudly broadcasting any kind of signals in every direction then it doesn't even need a stealth system: Unless you already knew where to look simply seeing it would be challenging, even with all our modern astronomy tools.
I suspect The Witness is working towards building a fighting force that parallels the guardians. Immortal warriors resurrected from the dead using Darkness instead of Light.
@7:00 maybe we knew and just didnt care. like before warmind we generally avoided warmind related places. up until know its just one of probably hundreds of golden age space station floating in orbit
This mission was very good. I think it had one of the best set pieces I have seen in Destiny 2 yet. However, I really wish there had been dialogue regarding our capture. It would have been awesome if the captain who Eramis sent to capture us had gloated about how we surrendered. Or a sequence where we are being escorted to a cell, passing rows of House Salvation fallen, all watching us as we are marched to a cell (think arbiter in halo 2 being marched to the pedestal). I think there is an issue here though: Why would we surrender? I think the idea was solid on Bungie's behalf, but it doesn't make sense in the context of the mission. We spent the whole time before that absolutely shoving every enemy in that station in a locker, and suddenly we just wave the white flag? While a cool idea, an absence of quality writing really hurt the execution. As for why we were wanted alive, if it was the Witnesses request, then good for us that we absolutely shredded everything breathing on that station. If it was Eramis who gave the command, then we did exactly what Guardians from the inception of destiny do: Kill things, without thought or hesitation. Remember what the Ghost in the Black Garden said "You are a dead thing, made in the shape of the dead. All you will ever do is kill".
I believe we've seen a promotional picture of a Scorn Kridis, so I wouldn't be surprised if at some point we also see Phylaks. Eramis can't take all that, I'm sure, she's going to snap.
It would be neat to see Scorn Atraks, since her Fallen non-exo body still exists and I know the Witness doesn't care at all about anything regarding the House at all.
Bungie is so wholesome. It’s like the core of the studio is one giant heart. One of the ways they like to show that heart is helping us to realize and see the good in people and understanding that people are a product of what life throws at us, and sometimes that life throws shit which can warp them in ways they not only hate, but have no control over.
I feel as though there will be a moment where she is given a chance to save eido, in doing so proving herself to misraaks and joining our side. Who knows, there may even be a self-sacrifice as it seems she is constantly putting her devotion to the eliksni’s survival over her own self-preservation. Plus, it seems the witness has the power to kill her whenever it wants, and that is why it feels so confident in pushing era is to her limits.
I have a feeling Eramis, while wanting to defect, won't get the chance. She will fail in the eyes of The Witness, and be turned into a Scorn. A sad closing to a tragic story and character.
I think Eramis is going to pull a Dreadwing from Transformers Prime. She's gonna be secretly aiding us against The Witness from within to only be found out and suffer a terrible fate.
That was such a well made show! The writing, the character development. There was nothing wrong with that show whatsoever, and to see people still referencing it outside of transformer communities makes me want to cry out in joy.
Well I think that if Eramis betrays the witness and sacrifices herself she would be fufilling the guardian's creed of devotion, bravery and sacrifice and therefore she will become the first Eliksni guardian, I mean that seems to be what they're setting up.
While not officially confirmed, I feel as though seraph station may have been nothing more than an abandoned satellite until my he events of season of the worthy where Rasputin regained some system wide control, makes sense that the hidden wouldn’t have taken note because to them it would have been a floating mountain of debris
The shock factor of seeing Praksis, combined with the bitter resignation in Eramis's voice, actually got me killed when I first did this mission. I just kind of stood there, staring in abject horror while getting shot and pummeled to death. It was the impact Bungie was going for, and it absolutely succeeded.
I wouldn't worry about the "war crime." What they see as a war crime, I see as a tactical advantage. You can achieve your goal in more ways than one this way especially if you know the enemy has evil intentions.
Hey Byf, It might already be too late. Eramis has seen the suffering of her people for too long now, she even said in the mission that the Witness will bring all those who have fallen by the "Machine-Spawn's" hands back from the dead and return them to her. She might already be loyal to them, even if indirectly.
I think the vanguard has been aware of seraph station but its orbital defense when rasputin was in control of his technology kept guardians from boarding it. Then after the black fleet arrived and xivu arath began intervening this season are we able to board the station.
Ok so I just bought and finished the Beyond light campaign (dw I got it on a discount) and can we Agree that Praksis is the best boss of the expansion ? MY MAN SPAWNS INTO BATTLE BY FLYING ON TOP OF A SHANK LIKE IT AIN'T ANY OF HIS BUISNESS.
At this point, I don't care about Eramis anymore. She's a hypocrite and an idiot who has had quite a few opportunities to change and make peace, but always chooses the option that screws both herself and her people. Her "noble" aspirations are ones I've heard before from countless characters. Oryx, Savathûn, and Xivu Arath wanted what was best for their people, and that's how we got the Hive. Calus wanted what was best for his Daughter and the Cabal, but his Narcissism, greed and gluttony costed him everything. His empire, close friends, his own family. Everything. Eramis claims she wants what's best for the Eliksni, but is too blinded by rage and grief to make peace with us. She's the reason Phylaks, Praksis, and Kridis had to die. She's the one who reopened the Glassway and caused the Vex Invasion on Riis-Reborn. And after all the crimes she has committed, she dared to call us the bad guys for killing Eliksni. Eliksni, who raided settlements, ate children, and murdered without hesitation. If Eramis truly did want what was best for the Eliksni, she could've joined forces with Mithrax after she broke out of Prison. She could've signaled the Vanguard and signed an armistice or peace treaty between Humanity and House Salvation. She could've accepted Mithrax's mercy, and cut ties with the Witness, so her people could leave Europe behind and finally find peace.

Seraphim Station could have tech that helps it masquerade as space junk just in orbit around earth, it also might not always be around the traveler and it's orbit either now is there or it moved there more recently.
What I found kind of surprising was that I actually ended up feeling sorry for Erimas during the Saraph Station mission, and even more so with the conversation she had with Mara.
5:09 minor detail, but it seems like the Hive are mainly positioned in spots slightly out of Line of Sight for the laser towers. I like that little touch so much.
So, let it be know I’m not a lore guy, but my theory of how we didn’t know the station was there is the “Cloaking tech” Think about this way, Cayde was able to create a stealth tech that could temporarily hide from one of the most powerful beings we’ve ever encountered (that being Oryx), so imagine what Clovis bray could do with the best-of-the-best golden age tech
Man, when you said Eido I could help but get a little teary eyed thinking it. Eramis cares for her people, she cared enough to listen to Eidos messages and plea for a parlay. Eramis even saves her life when it she could have grabbed the relic and ran. If something would happen to Eido I don’t think Eramis would take it kindly or without retaliation.
my take on the station not being mentioned before is that there are likely dozens of golden age stations in orbit over earth. Until recently the Seraph station would have been dormant, Raz has only had some level of control for a very brief time that the Young Wolf was risen for, and Clovis AI has been awake for even less time. I don't think its so much that we didn't know it was there, I think its just that it wasn't doing anything and so wasn't worth noting
About us not knowing about the station. I believe the Vanguard kept it a secret. If anyone has played this game for a bit you would know the vanguard don’t tell us everything. And I feel like this? Is example of that.
I just played this mission as I missed out on seraph and this is in the legacy node rn. Hearing how genuinely defeated and kinda depressed Eramis sounded broke me bro 💔😭
I’d love to see Eramis’s family get turned into scorn, if only because of the story potential. It’s making me misty eyed just thinking about it. On top of that the witness feels… a bit detached from reality to me. He might see it as a blessing rather than a horrible mockery of a curse.
Other than Stealth tech, the only other reason I can think of is that this Station was already under Rasputin's control before he got shut down. That way no one would touch it before Warmind. After you'd probably still want to clearance for the station but no one ever did and it never came up in Seraph because it wasn't vital to launching new warsats and was already connected to the network. Well that's the only thing I can come up with off the top of my head. But we'll see if any new lore entries clarify this.
The Dialogue between Osiris, and Eramis at the end of heists after the seasons final cutscene sounds like Eramis regretting some choices she’s made and even doubted the Witness more.
Eramis sounded so sad a defeated when she said the Witness would return her comrades. Imo you can tell she hates seeing Praksis like this but she's given in and convinced herself that this is the only way. I think it would be REALLY cool if the mission had a 3 week boss rotation and we also see Phylaks and Kridis resurrected as Scorn.
Maybe I missed something, and please tell me if I have, but around the middle of the video, a good chunk is dedicated to talking about how Eramis wanted us alive, but actually listening to the dialogue earlier in the very video (around 7:50) it's said one of her captains wanted you alive to present as a trophy. It is a bit of a leap to take this as Eramis wanting us alive rather than just the Captain wanting to curry her favor. Anyway, minor point of issue in an otherwise great video. As always!

Eramis and her wife? And they had kids....? Didn't know that! 😶
Can u please go into detail about this. Or if u can, make a video on the biology of all the species that we know so far, it would be great!
Honestly I would think the station was known just not what it was and most likely avoided I mean if Rasputin was in control of it and he wasn't the most welcoming. @@mininearby perhaps it was never deemed as significant
@@lokeshkoka1296 thats actually quite complicated. but because Athris and Eramis are both female i would assume that maybe they either had cells collected from the one and implanted into eggs to fertilize them or male eh seaman donated from a doner. it is complicated considering Eliksni are egg laying

As far as we know the geneva convention doesn't exist in the destiny universe, so are they really war crimes
Eramis becoming the first eliksni guardian would be really interesting

My response was “there no war crimes in space besides it’s only a war crime if you lose the war”
Also pretty sure gambit is worse then any war crime
Eh screw house salvation. They’re working on behalf of a genocial darkness god and invaded a complex and space station owned by humanity within earths orbit. We get to play as dirty as they do.
It's never a war crime the first time.
I mean, we'd already be committing war crimes by using anti-material rounds on personnel, so it's not a new concept.
Taking a page from the book of kenobi and Skywalkers tactics of war
Very convenient retroactive continuity
Yep exactly that.
If it's surviving golden age bray-tech, Rasputin will not hesitate to slaughter any1 in site.
Which lore tab
Difference is that rhulk didn’t care about his people no? eramis actually cares about her people
@@Gee-bg2rv Yep.
Eh. Even if she hates the witness (which I'm not entirely convinced by) she hates the Traveler and Guardians even more.
"I can not believe they fell for that!"
Eramis and her Elisksni: "We are honorable. The Guardian has done some honorable things and House light speaks highly of them. I'm sure they'll honorably stay in the cage."
Stranger: *hands us guns* Go commit a crime
To be fair he also wears like a TON of stuff, we can't exactly see his skin much
Model error. This is the first time we've seen Pyriks, so Bungie won't waste time making a new model for a seasonal activity boss. Since we know and killed Praxis, it's easier to reuse his model as well.
he does have scorn skin and stuff just gotta look under his clothes
When is saw Praxis I immediately was like "WHOH, Eramis is going to loose her shit"
Nah it is a punishment for her
Eremis realizing that pledging your eternal soul to the incarnation of darkness isn’t exactly a good idea
"No? Okay, back in the fridge with you."
"No wait-!"
I don't *totally* blame her.
"I'm a genius!"
"Oh no!"
She does seem like someone the traveler would resurrect. Then again, who knows how the traveler chooses to resurrect guardians/lightbearers.

Eremis sounded so defeated in this mission, it damn nearly broke my heart
Edit: hol up my mind just farted an idea out. Is Eremis the Kell of Kells? What if she betrays the Witness, dies, and is resurrected by the Traveler? Probably not but what if?
Fairly certain Mithras is the Kell of Kells, or was referred to as such
@@Epicbrodude31 like I said, just a random idea my brain farted out.
Eramis dying and being reborn as a risen would leave Mithraks in a strange position and mindset, on one hand the heretic to his beliefs just took what he has strived to earn since his change of heart at our hands, on the other, the risen Eramis would be basically like Crow, amnesic, confused, and resented. not to mention the Witness would be DEEPLY insulted that one of their henchmen was blessed by their enemy, a ironic sort of "taking."
also Crow would have a field day meeting someone in similar shoes like him. a dark legacy and its karmic weight placed upon them from (re)birth.
@@Epicbrodude31 I assume it's eido mithrax's daughter
It's possible, but perhaps a bit too much of a repeat of Crow?
Eramis is gonna be Bungie's new Arbiter, in terms of storytelling. Has faith in one thing, then betrays that faith once all of the pieces come together for her to realize she's been living a lie. Only for her to join us to fight against the Darkness in the end.
A remake of Arbiter's line from Halo 3 of "We trade one villain for another.", but with our Guardian and Eramis back to back surround by the Darkness' forces, only for Crow to arrive with a ship to save us.

This station was formerly under the control of Rasputin before season of arrival.
Eramis sounded so dead and defeated when she spoke about Praksis being brought back.
You’re asking a lot of the right questions this season. I was also wondering why we’ve never heard of this seraph station. I could understand that it’s well defended and we couldn’t have boarded it but it’s massive and it’s right above the city. Surely someone would have tried
Best guess is we had no reason to
Eramis' tone sounded so... defeated and fed up
I've honestly thought that at the end of the season, Eramis will force us to kill her as she's too scared of the Witness to betray it directly, or she does try to betray the Witness, but is then turned into a Scorn.
You can only become scorn by being ressed by dark ether
What about shattering our hearts by dropping a word or two about her wife. And maybe a "Kill... me..." along the way.
"The Sword of Damocles" man i don't hear that often and every time I do i love it, bravo byf
She sounded so depressed when scorned praxis was introduced
Pretty sure that the Geneva Convention is something lost to the Golden Age as well. I think we are in the 2700s after all.
Plot twist: the final thing to push Eramis over the edge to betray the witness will be the rebirth of taniks as a scorn with no legs
In the words of the immortal Dr. Coomer:
“You can’t commit a war crime if there are no military left to judge you”
Been saying it since last season, but I’m convinced she’ll be the first eliksni guardian.
I wouldn't worry about the "war crime." What they see as a war crime, I see as a tactical advantage. You can achieve your goal in more ways than one this way especially if you know the enemy has evil intentions.
Hey Byf,
It might already be too late. Eramis has seen the suffering of her people for too long now, she even said in the mission that the Witness will bring all those who have fallen by the "Machine-Spawn's" hands back from the dead and return them to her. She might already be loyal to them, even if indirectly.
listen to her tone when she says that line though, she sounds entirely defeated. as in bringing them back, it means as scorn.
Geneva conventions don’t qualify when you’re trying to prevent a literal universe extinction level event
Right on time! I've been catching up with the lore of this season :)
I think the vanguard has been aware of seraph station but its orbital defense when rasputin was in control of his technology kept guardians from boarding it. Then after the black fleet arrived and xivu arath began intervening this season are we able to board the station.
Wouldn't be my first war crime.

Remember when a lot of people thinking Eramis wasn't much of a villain/character back in Beyond Light?
Funny what a year will do.
Seraphim Station could have tech that helps it masquerade as space junk just in orbit around earth, it also might not always be around the traveler and it's orbit either now is there or it moved there more recently.
The false surrender doesn’t bother me at all since some fallen have eaten children according to Saint.
Love the fact that we ever so casually committed a war crime for the memes
What I found kind of surprising was that I actually ended up feeling sorry for Erimas during the Saraph Station mission, and even more so with the conversation she had with Mara.
The remixed beyond light music was absolute fire
5:09 minor detail, but it seems like the Hive are mainly positioned in spots slightly out of Line of Sight for the laser towers. I like that little touch so much.
I could tell in the mission from the tone of her voice how defeated she was.
Best guess, the City knew about Seraph Station, but since it never threatened the City, they never bothered with it
The station may be tied to one lore card in D1 about the Traveler being possibly shot down by Rasputin, but I don't know
Imagine if the Witness brings back Taniks as a Scorn for shits and giggles
I’m glad you finally started getting sponsors. You do great work and I love your content
"a sister . . . a mother."
this line represents and foreshadows some things and my mind raced when I heard it
Eramis is going to either turn into a light bearer or a Scorn. One or the other, and I can't wait.
my take on the station not being mentioned before is that there are likely dozens of golden age stations in orbit over earth.
Do love how the Hive call in the Splicers as Tech Support
During the Obi-Wan sequence:
Zavala disliked that
Catial disliked that
Drifter: tearing up with pride
The part about "family" and choices holds so much truth in the real world too..
I think we always knew about seraph station but never had access to it but now with clovis’ compliance we can enter it
I mean tbf i don't think guardians will ever get to the point of the tenno and their warframes in terms of how often the geneva convention is broken
No, you are right to think that way about the massive space station right above the city....My guess was they didnt know how to get up there??? idk
"there are laser barriers we haven't been able to bypass yet" fun fact: those laser barriers can be very easily bypassed with Eager Edge

*Guardians:* “Do you mean the Genova Suggestions?”
I’d love to see Eramis’s family get turned into scorn, if only because of the story potential. It’s making me misty eyed just thinking about it.
On top of that the witness feels… a bit detached from reality to me. He might see it as a blessing rather than a horrible mockery of a curse.
Space is big. If the station doesn't have active becons it would be difficult to find it. Especially if it didn't want to be found.
My Hunter: But what about my empty Head mount?
The Dialogue between Osiris, and Eramis at the end of heists after the seasons final cutscene sounds like Eramis regretting some choices she’s made and even doubted the Witness more.
it was kind of suprising hearing how tired and sad eramis was when we fight praksis, props to her VA
Bungie is in the U.S. and we NEVER ratified the Geneva convention, so it is not applicable, and it only applied to humans.
"Who knows... maybe it'll be Eido."
Over my cold, dead, Lightless body!
As always!
Yeeeeah, Eriamis sounded SO defeated telling us. I couldnt tell what was more broken, Praxis body or her spirit
