the rivalry between the inquisition and heretics is as old as time like the inquisition and xenos or the inquisition and mutants or the inquisition and the inquisition damned inquisitors, they ruined the imperium astartes: sounds like the inquisition has a lot of enemies inquisitor: YOU JUST MADE YOURSELF A HERITIC FOR LIFE!
Beyond his voice, he has a different manner of how he does his vids. The matter-of-fact nature of videos like this one is good, but brother Baldermort has a certain.... theatricality. When I want an hour long data dump that makes me feel like I've stumbled into an stc fragment, I watch LT. when I want to feel like I've actually met someone from the 40k universe, I go to baldy. And then there's majorkill for the rest of the time.
Thinking about your description of the Monodominants, going in circles and entrenching themselves ever deeper into their mindset with the "if you're not with me, you're against me" mindset, I can see them even accusing a resurrected Emperor of heresy, should he not completely and 100% agree with them.
@@Luetin09 My thoughts exactly. This dogma has become so fundamental to their worldview that changing or abandoning it would throw their entire existence into question. Compare to religious fanatics or political extremists with how they are coping with dissenting viewpoints and how willing they are to change them.

As we know the Chaos Gods has the power to resurrect him, just like they did with Horus when he too got struck with the Anathame Blade in a plot to turn him against the emperor, and many times Garviel Loken mentioned that Horus came back "different" when he was resurrected. But in the end the Chaos Gods only created such a plot and resurrected Horus in the goal to turn him against his father as the Emperor was creating a warp storm within the warp. So the idea they would resurrect the Emperor is absurd, now that there is no threat towards the Chaos Gods they've simply gone back to toying about.
You know, if and when the Emperor Himself physically returns, they "try" to haul him in front of the Inquisition, what WILL happen afterwards, the Horus Heresy all over again, but, FAR worse! Immense change in the Imperium following his return, this is one of the ways it could start!

Ahh, glorious inquisition. A faction with authority beneath only the emperor and even after the return of the son has remained absolute in its authority.. Many times have they seemingly been a force for evil, only to prove that in the long game it was for the best interests of the imperium. Who are we truly to judge, when it is difficult to at all understand the scale of time in which the greater game is played?

These videos have reignited my love for warhammer. Use to play and collect in the 90's with my childhood friends but as time goes by and people move apart I lost interest. Would still play warhammer video games as they came out but never got back into actual collecting. (Shadow of the horned rat, chaos gate and dawn of war being my favourites.) Playing as I child i never really knew of any of the background story behind warhammer I just loved the tanks and aliens. Now over the past week ive binge watched nearly all your videos and my mind is blown by the whole universe and back story. Outstanding content thank you.

holy moly.. i knew the Inquisitiors are very deeply different in their believes, but i wasnt aware there was even factions or better to say i thought it was only 2 different ones, the Radicals and the Puritans, and ofc those "between the stool legs" in different shades of their "radical" or "pure" believes... but there even those are split up into several sort of sects, circles, cells or call it however u want but thats kinda mindblowing and concerning when thinking about what that realy means for the Imperium... an Organisation with near unlimited power and reach, able to dethrone the highest and mightiest nobility and exterminate whole worlds on the suspicion of uncombatable corruption (which to judge is left to them aswell) is just.. mindboggling * shiver * gives me goosebumps, they are sanctioned plaintiff, judge and executioner at once

I've been really fascinated with the different agents of the Imperium lately (might be because I'm running them with a custome Guard regiment), thanks for stoking the fires of this interest! My favorites atm are Coteaz and Amberley Vail, though I'm going to start listening to Eisenhorn soon, and painting Kyria Draxus!

Inquisitors: they're assholes not because of something like a holier-than-thou ego (for the most part); but because they've encountered........."things" that anyone else who cherishes their sanity and soul would rather forget exists. There are probably a few people out there who are more knowledgeable than Lt on 40K but none of them are producing content that is as good. The effort he puts in really shows. It is serious scholarship on a fictional galaxy. Or I guess I should say presumably fictional. A lot could happen in the next 38,000 years.

I would like to remind everyone that the Inquisition sees exterminatus as a last resort and the ultimate failure of duty. Something that should never be used unless absolutely necessary. And any Inquisitor that abuses this power usually ends up dead very quickly.

This is such rich lore. I find it so crazy this was all created (including the large scale RPG game) to find a secondary use for some large display models

These videos have reignited my love for warhammer. Use to play and collect in the 90's with my childhood friends but as time goes by and people move apart I lost interest. Would still play warhammer video games as they came out but never got back into actual collecting. (Shadow of the horned rat, chaos gate and dawn of war being my favourites.) Playing as I child i never really knew of any of the background story behind warhammer I just loved the tanks and aliens. Now over the past week ive binge watched nearly all your videos and my mind is blown by the whole universe and back story. Outstanding content thank you.

holy moly.. i knew the Inquisitiors are very deeply different in their believes, but i wasnt aware there was even factions or better to say i thought it was only 2 different ones, the Radicals and the Puritans, and ofc those "between the stool legs" in different shades of their "radical" or "pure" believes... but there even those are split up into several sort of sects, circles, cells or call it however u want but thats kinda mindblowing and concerning when thinking about what that realy means for the Imperium... an Organisation with near unlimited power and reach, able to dethrone the highest and mightiest nobility and exterminate whole worlds on the suspicion of uncombatable corruption (which to judge is left to them aswell) is just.. mindboggling * shiver * gives me goosebumps, they are sanctioned plaintiff, judge and executioner at once

You're a great storyteller, your dives on the more are the most nuanced and documented of UA-cam, not only in more, but in how this more functions.
I understand more and more about a fictional universe that scares me, how big it is and what it demands from its followers. ( Not just money. )

just a little note, the artwork at 15:17 is from the manga blame! it's cibo and killy, it's great you can read it if you like cyberpunk stuff. The author did a short fan story about warhammer and the inquisition. (forgot the title sorry)
I've been really fascinated with the different agents of the Imperium lately (might be because I'm running them with a custome Guard regiment), thanks for stoking the fires of this interest! My favorites atm are Coteaz and Amberley Vail, though I'm going to start listening to Eisenhorn soon, and painting Kyria Draxus!

For some reason about 4 years ago I just wasn't really into your down the rabbit hole style. But in the last year been seeing your videos crop up again, and they have been incredible insightful to a universe I quite frankly feel not in the loop of any more.

Inquisitors: they're assholes not because of something like a holier-than-thou ego (for the most part); but because they've encountered........."things" that anyone else who cherishes their sanity and soul would rather forget exists. A person may understandably loathe them, but only a fool would envy their job.

There are probably a few people out there who are more knowledgeable than Lt on 40K but none of them are producing content that is as good. The effort he puts in really shows. It is serious scholarship on a fictional galaxy. Or I guess I should say presumably fictional. A lot could happen in the next 38,000 years.

Was he an Monodominant, Thorians or Ardentities... Or something else?
He started as an Amalathian. He says it outright early on in the books. The Inquisitor Hapshant who trained him was one as well IIRC.

He struck me as more of a Xenorite even in the beginning, even though that's not an "official" faction of the Inquisition it's more of an ideology.

I would like to remind everyone that the Inquisition sees exterminatus as a last resort and the ultimate failure of duty. Something that should never be used unless absolutely necessary. And any Inquisitor that abuses this power usually ends up dead very quickly.
