Liberalism has been overrun with hard socialists (what we used to call communists). When it comes to their policies, they used great terms. Remember all of the rhetoric from Obama making them think they are going to get free education, new cars, computers. LBJ is the one that started affirmative action and welfare payments to single mothers which caused husbands to move out so that she can get more money. Single parent families went from 75% married to 45% now. I remember the 60’s when blacks annual income equaled their white counterparts and their neighborhoods were nice, everyone dressed well, etc. all of the equity policies were set up to cripple the black community and split up the family. You could t convince anyone the policies were bad for black communities without being called a racist. So, I’m super glad black people are waking up and realizing how crippled they have become with these policies. I’m feeling some hope for the future.

They are one and the same because the "movement" was powered and directed by the organization, and that organization being that it organizes things controlled the narratives, the talking points and the places their ideology was pushed, but as all "useful idiots" (it's a phrase) do, they follow, promote and push the ideology and therefore become the physical Human mass of the "movement", which as is described by this smart young Man (in the full video) that BLM directly pushed Marxism (it was on their website until that was reported on, then they edited it, all recorded evidence of course) and at least one of the "leaders" of BLM was on the TV and described herself as "a Marxist".

Imagine having "White Lives Matter"
The true attack isnt based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. The true attack is on families, the woman in the video basically say the people behind this organization dont want responsible black fathers in the home, but in reality they dont want any responsible fathers in the home. Because that goes against what Feminism and LGBT are promoting, shaming straight men who just want to take care of their families is a step in the direction of making sure the family structure as a whole completely falls apart. They want people to be self centered haters while labeling it independent and empowering. Call it whatever you want, but the big picture is the family structure is being attacked on all sides.

It might be just semantics - but liberalism isn’t the same as leftism. The Democrats are not really liberals any more. In fact socialism (leftism) is the antithesis of liberalism. Conservatism didn’t used to mean ‘free market capitalism’ either. These labels are becoming more and more unhelpful in describing what’s going on. I think the real problem is top down statism, centralised control and a static power structure with a few elite families entrenched (almost like a monarchy) - versus bottom up individualism and freedom with power distributed and less benefit of economies of scale and perhaps more selfishness and anarchism - but more emphasis on self reliance and personal rights and responsibility. These two philosophies completely clash. Layer in human tribalism, nationalism, culture, technology etc and you have a toxic mess

I'm going to say I might be biased with this so please take this as a grain of salt. I've noticed that liberals see certain groups as just numbers. Blacks, immigrants, and illegal immigrants, gays, etc. They say they want to help them, but I haven't seen them do much to help these groups. Doubtless conservatives probably see some groups the same way, but if they do I haven't seen it (again, biased opinion, I do not claim to know all).
What I will say is: I remember Donald Trump, someone who ran for the Republican party, actually went different parts of the black community and asked them what they believe they need directly. I understand this part of the comment is going to get me destroyed on here, but I've never forgotten how he did that. Unfortunately I cannot say I know of any other Republicans who did something similar off the top of my head.
I'm a white guy. I will say there are parts of the black community that I've noticed issues in (lack of black fatherhood is a good example), but if I were black I'd get tired of everyone telling me what the issues are, and want someone who actually listened to what I believe the issues are, and come up with some sort of a plan to actually fix these issues.
Politicians need to change. They were elected to serve the people whom they represent. The American Government is too full of people who want to use their power like a weapon, pointed against those that aren't in their party, instead of trying to work on actually fixing problems.
One hundred percent agree with your comment. I also remember that when he did that the black leaders he spoke to were "canceled" for speaking to him, even though they were just trying to educate him and help their communities.
