I felt shocked at this too, but it's easy to zone in on one aspect of political issues and not realize what's going on with another issue. Between people not knowing how to define a woman (an adult human female), people demanding reparations, and "peaceful protests" for issues that the protestors don't even understand, there's a lot of ground to cover.

My team at work participated in a legit IQ test held by a corporate auditor. I am talking about a group of guys who design and write automation for satellites used by the fed for just about everything you can think of. I personally scored 138 and I guessed on probably 5 of the large number of questions, the highest score was 156 and that is absolutely the smartest person I have ever been around EVER. 175.... LOLOLOL

...or, when he had open borders previously, there weren't social welfare programs. A person worked, or starved. Their choice. Now, they enter and we (the taxpayers) cover all their costs of living. This is the important distinction: immigrants NOW can cost us, which is why we cannot have open borders and need to be selective on who we accept.
Meanwhile, an influx of millions of people drives down labor wages, and drives up costs of housing. Which are two of the younger generations' main concerns. People, policy choices have consequences!

@@bobprivate8575 Europe has pretty much the same problem. All the migrants from africa and the middle east come here and the native populations have to pay for their upkeep. Nearly every single migrant goes to welfare countries and they all avoid countries in eastern europe. There aren't any jobs for them here in western europe so they just end up in welfare. There's no enforcement on the border, there's endless legal proceedings they can go through to try and stay here. The NGO's even go as far as to protect rapists and child molesters from being sent back after proper proceedings. There are so many loopholes that it is insane. Migrant women just get pregnant the moment they touch soil so they can get an anchor baby and free housing. Men will claim they are LGBT or whatever to get instant passes. It's absolutely fucking insane here. And if you try and speak up about it, all the wokies start shouting and accusing you of racism and xenophobia. Meanwhile the vast majority of wokies themself live in middle to upper class neighborhoods far removed from the actual end results of their terrible policies. It's so frustrating.

Now, how they decided to come to the US instead of great Britain baffles me. If they're "refugees" like they claim, they need to head to the "nearest country of safe harbor" as per the U.N. ruling on people seeking refugee/asylum status. Yet they come to America. Granted, Africans crossing the border are a small percentage and the vast bulk are Latinos heading north. In many cases, these "refugees" cross through 2-8 countries. All of which are willing to offer safety to said "refugees" and said safety is denied. This IS the same, a literal "apples to apples" if you will

I’m a son of an immigrant and I can say with full confidence that this country has a border problem. We need to put our country and people first, we can’t just let anyone in because then we have no idea who’s in the country. With no records these people can get away with all before we figure out who they are, and that sounds like a national security threat to me.
By the governments own numbers there has been at least 7 million people let through the border since Biden took office. That's all of Connecticut and Utah's population in 3 years. So I'd say there's a problem.

Being that you were unfamiliar with the border controversy of the past three years, it would be amazing if you did a series of reactions to some of the congressional and senate hearings that have focused on this issue.
Ignoring the usual partisan bickering, It's truly enlightening and fascinating to see how the expert witnesses who have been called in to testify have responded to the various questions. Including which questions they either outright refuse to answer or present themselves as being ignorant on.
Some of the hearing topics have included: the cartel and drug issues, how many people have and are crossing the border illegally (including the known got aways), the horrors of the human smuggling by the cartels, and the many thousands of unaccompanied children who have entered and whom the government now has no idea where they are, etc.
It would be great to hear your thoughts on all that.
Either way, keep up the great work on your videos! :)

The problem with the drug argument is any market has two major variables, supply and demand. You can attempt to reduce the demand in the population, but it's much easier to disrupt the supply.

Not sure it was mentioned: the border bill that is often discussed is known colloquial as the Senate Boarder Deal. The document name is HR 815, which was originally a bill about funding veteran benefits. It passed the house, and went on to the Senate, where it was gutted out by an amendment, and includes things like Aid to Ukraine and Isreal, and 3.4 billion in Migration and Refugee assistance.
When the amended version of the bill was returned to the house, it was shot down.
This is NOT the same as another bill, which was passed by the house, HR 2, though is often conflated with it. Currently, HR 2 is in "Limbo", waiting to be voted on in the Senate.

The Constitution assigns responsibility for protecting our border to the federal government, and also allows the states to repel an invasion. Corporate America may benefit from an open border, but it has not direct role in opening or closing the border.

@kennethmorgan7957 I know - I’m very surprised. But in his defense, he’s a full-time engineering student about to graduate. So he’s been immersed in a challenging & time-consuming major for the past 4 years.
I think he has this YT channel to earn some money while he’s in school, and also because he genuinely is an open-minded and curious person. For this channel, as you may already know, he’s ended up really diving into culture war stuff: Trans stuff, to some extent, but also over-used claims of racism, affirmative action, and cultural hot topics. Regarding those topics, he’s probably more informed than 95% of people his own age. He’s quite an independent thinker & I admire that. Most kids his age are not, even though they think they are.
Like I said, I was a bit floored that he didn’t even know about the border crisis, but the explanation must be that he spends the majority of his time studying.
I also can’t judge because i had very little interest in important issues until I was fully out of college - I’m not proud of that, but I’m just saying, he’s well ahead of where I was at his age. 💗
