They had a cancellation for the following day. I had a large ovarian cyst. That was not resolving on it own. I had an appt with gyno to discuss surgery. Things moved quickly. At this point because I was waiting for my appointments and test. My NEW doctor agreed to do a cT scan to figure out why I had severe pain in my right side of chest my cardiologist already ruled out heart but did find an aortic aneurysm. I couldn’t get in for 2 weeks for CT scan. I seen my Gyno for cyst. It did start to resolve. She ran more test. I was also diagnosed with autoimmune in February. I refused to take any medications . I was diagnosed with degenerative joint disease. Nothing showed up for lungs on X-rays. I also had severe pain in groin and hips. The pain was so bad by the time I seen my new doctor. However we were waiting to hear about cyst. Since it was resolving and gyno said my pain was not from the cyst my new doctor agreed to add abdominal CT into my chest CT. I called every day to see if there was a cancellation. Finally I agreed to change locations because I was so sick and got in the next day. Found out I had gallbladder and liver issues. Hello thanks for sharing Your story sounds a lil similar to mine I had overian cyst and fibroid tumors went in for a hysterectomy. Had all these tests like colonoscopy endoscopy ph balance MRI ultrasounds X-rays. And still nothing after.1.5 years. I have changed my diet vitamins since before the diagnosis . All symptoms are all present and I keep being bounced around and told that symptoms are due to surgery but all my MRI CT scan x-ray ultrasound blood work come back normal w Exception of hasimotos autoimmune 😢😢 I'm at a loss and feel I have no way out. I'm glad you found something that is working for you keep it up. Remember, Vitamin D supplements increase cholesterol. You can read about those studies on webmd. Reason being that we have extra cholesterol in our bodies waiting to mix with UVb rays from the son so our bodies can make natural vitamin d. When we do not go outside, no vitamin d is made. When we take vot D supplements, our body sees no need for more and when we do go outside, it does not make that extra vit. D. I hope the best for you on your journey.

About 15 years ago my dr put me on 25 mcg of Levothyroxine and Iron. When I went from 50 to 75 mcg, my left eye started to bulge and getting through each day was difficult with that eye. I also have dry eye, adult asthma and allergies, vitiligo and alopecia. Now, they want to put me on 100mcg of the Levothyroxine but I said no. My left eye feels better and I am now on this journey to help myself from getting worse. I have learned going gluten free and processed foods free, does make a huge difference in my symptoms, including my chronic cough. It took a few weeks to begin to feel the difference. I have also added Brazil nuts, magnesium glycinate and zinc with copper.
Excellent presentation and information. We need more doctors like you who are willing to help explain the problem and help find solutions instead of just prescribing medication. Thank you, Dr. Gupta!!
Thank you Dr Gupta I have been having Throid problems for 5 years I do my regular check up ,but it's been getting bad iam on medication I have a nodule that my Dr is watching for the past 3 years my symptoms are very concerning now what should the next step be?
I do fell the cold feet, cold hands, muscle weakness, THS a bit elevated ( enough to be considered hyperthiroidt) ,not so tired, not brain fog,,morning lower body temperature. I noticed when I drink coffee and eat bread, cruciferous vegetable, mustard seeds, ginger all makes the voice a bit horsey. Based on same reading I came across the reason of elevate TSH is from maguinesium deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, and stress
I do add dressing parsley, powder ginger spring on top of my meals. It’s help changing my diet. No coffee. Trigger inflammation. Fresh turmeric every morning, and virgin olive oil.

I have been on my journey for a while (known of Hashimotos Hypothyroiditism for 5 years, but likely decades) and doing all the right dietary/lifestyle things and working on healing the gut. Have been considering going on desiccated thyroid as my T4 is extremely low, but for the first time in 5 years it has gone up - albeit a small amount. My antibodies are extremely high. Does my thyroid need desiccated thyroid assistance and then I can taper off, or can healing be done without any assistance?

*_"Animal Fats"?!_* I haven't seen _anyone_ else claim animal fats are a trigger. That sounds like Cleveland Clinic vegan propaganda. Animal fats are the absolute healthiest fats.
Agreed, precisely my thought. It definitely sounded like vegan/vegetarian propaganda. He also didn't list red meat here for protein which is mind boggling. He did list chicken and some fish and the rest was plant based. Butter is supposedly a trigger as well..?? From my understanding, butter is incredibly nutritious. I don't know.. he does seem to be a vegetarian and this would certainly make him biased with an agenda. No mention of eggs either.. Per usual, I'll take the info I find useful and discard what doesn't sound right to me. Have yet to come across someone who's right on everything in life...
@jason_369_ Almonds are said to be a no go for hypothyroidism. Some good advice here on stress but taking so many supplements is also not acceptable to me. Cruciferous vegetables are also a no go for hypothyroidism. Many people recommend dairy fat for helping hypothyroidism.
Ghee and butter has no cow protein so it should not trigger any allergy against you , it is just pure fat. Like gluten is wheat protein so only protein can trigger not fat
@@Katja421 hi. I dont know for others, but dairy is a trigger for my thyroid. I have read the protein in dairy is similar to gluten structure which is 14:36 closely resrmbled to sn enzyme in the thyroid. Thus triggers attack on body and thyroid. Also eggs are a trigger for me and whites of the eggs cause inflammatory reaction. But that is just my body!

Shortness of breath pressure on my chest and throat heavy bloated belly like I'm full hungry and feeling like throwing up all at the same time hard to explain hips back and waist in excruciating pain mood changes like depression and such, this is 24/7 all day everyday I feel like this, went in for a CT and found an 8mm groiter/ lymph.
I have a follow up w Endo in August decided not to remove thyroid after a possiblity of cancer I eat healthier no processed food for sugar and or carbs mostly organic foods no fried or fastfood I fast almost daily 14-16 hour fast im only 108 even on good days I can't seem to figure it out I feel like Dr gaslighting me.or like I'm being overly dramatic

Thanks.

Excellent ! Functional Medicine is the way to go. I am a Physician and agree with “You are what you eat”!
Been taking 125 Levothyroxine and 5 Cytomel for years and I still feel like total garbage all day, everyday. I have every single one of those symptoms and many more. 5 years ago I weighed 155. Now I weigh 280. On top of the symptoms you previously described, I also have severe pain and swelling in all my joints. I am happy to have found this video.
When I was first diagnosed as hypothyroidism, only my t3 was low, t4 tsh was normal but after the doctor prescribed Me levothyroxine my tsh and t4 too were starting to have problems!.
wow i get confused because my t3 is "good" my T4 is low tsh is 150 high
Thank you thank you thank you. I've been suffering with hashimotos for 25+ years. Taking 112 mcg of levothyroxine and still have symptoms, weight gain, can't lose😱I made an appt with Montana Functional Medicine and have eliminated gluten and dairy! I have hope we can get to root cause and start to repair my thyroid.
23:44 : omg! Yes! I have been diagnosed around that time frame after the end of a 7 years abusive relationship. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us🙏🏻
About 15 years ago my dr put me on 25 mcg of Levothyroxine and Iron.
I’m interested that you mention chronic cough. Is this a symptom of hypothyroid? I ask because no one can diagnose my chronic cough.
Best video on thyroid.Thankyou so much Doctor Gupta.
This is what l needed for someone special. Thank you Doc

I do add dressing parsley, powder ginger spring on top of my meals. It’s help changing my diet. No coffee. Trigger inflammation.
Fresh turmeric every morning, and virgin olive oil.

Hello, thank you for your great information, I just was wondering how can someone with hashimoto and osteoporosis stop eating dairy products, as we all know what an important role they play in the diet of women with osteoporosis.
Milk is not the only option for calc. and the body needs magnesium, potassium, zink and vit D for the bones. These are only the main minerals.
Thank you for making this video. This video has helped me understand what I am going through. I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis disorder. My PC doctor had given me no hope in being cured. I had asked him to refer me to an endocrinologist, and I am currently waiting for his referral. Meanwhile, I am going to follow the diet you provided and add the supplements to my regular vitamin routine.
I am a hyperthyroidism patient.
I would like to know that according to your advice the following vitamin s are available in pharmacy or noy.If it is available then kindly let me know the name of the medicine consisting of all four following vitamins together.
1) Zinc Glycinate / Picolanate
2) Magnesium Glycinate
3)Selenomethionine.
4) CoQ10
5) B12
Thank you so much for addressing the issues that negatively affect the thyroid and how to regain balance and optimal functioning of our bodies……this is healthcare at its best❤❤❤👏🏻

I wish when he was talking about selenium he would have addressed taking Brazil nuts versus the the supplement.
Watch his older videos, he had been talking about Brazil Nuts.
1 big roasted Brazil nuts a day is good sellinium source .
@@les9058Wrong. Toasted is the least healthy. Also, for 8 hours, they must be soaked in purified water with a teaspoon of sea salt to remove lectins that are hard on the kidneys.
Thanks all, please keep bringing your knowledge
I tried the Brazil nut daily, and it didn't help me at all. I started taking selenium 200mg ( Bronson brand on Amazon).
First most important factor is stress that initiates autoimmune thyroiditis.plz can you recommend one single thyroid support supplement that contains all essentials?
Finally, someone giving real information that can help with hyperthyroid!!!! Thank you Dr.❤❤❤

Are you taking iodine and/or zinc as well?
How can we compare thyroid symptoms/disorders with one another, because everyone has different metabolism, and no two individuals have same symptoms, but they were on same treatment/medication taking levothyroxin early in the morning, but it will not improve even though we increase the dosage, how can a layman like us knows all about these things, but we have only limited diagnostic tests to evaluate the real reason behind these thyroid disorders, thank you doctor from one and all for providing such a wonderful information about thyroid disorders👨⚕️ 🙏
Pl suggest good suppliment for.hypothyroid.
Dr how long should we take the supplement Selenium Zinc for hashimotos thyroiditis

Dear Dr Gupta, can I reverse Hashimotos after 24 years of Synthroid, and then 13 of Armour porcine decicated hormone?
i’m 21 and suffering from this. i appreciate this so much!
Have you had any improvements?
Thank you for the references at 21:26. Though I wish they were in the show notes so I could copy and paste them. My doctor thinks _nothing_ can be done about hypothyroid but to just take levothyroxine.
Take screenshots.

Really appreciate this video.
Thank you so much for this very informative knowledgeable stuff . This will gonna help a little to deal with this problem .
Glad it helped
Thank you so much for such an informative and comprehensive video. Iam a new subscriber and watching your first video. Iam thyroid patient and follow some of the YT Thyroid Docs, but this video is of another league. I felt it was like taking a semester on this subject. Thanks once again ❤🙏🏻

@@mnayak9348butter contains casein I believe which is a cow protein?

Dr., should I take all vitamins that you mentioned in the video or should I pick one?
Ever so grateful for your generous and indepth information. I was about to start on thyroxin but will put aside and try your methods first.
Good morning doctor I follow this channel from Morocco I have Hashimoto's At every visit to the doctor He tells me that the inflammation is increasing When I ask him about treatment, he tells me that there is no treatment yet At the same time, tell him about symptoms such as joint pain and nervousness Is inflammation caused by Hashimoto's? Does Hashimoto's cause diabetes? Does milk cause increased inflammation?
Thank you
