Here is my review of the DZOFILM Pictor Cine Zooms. Do you prefer Cine Zooms or Primes? Note on the Vespid lenses: The Vespid Retro I used are quite different from the original Vespid Primes, primarily due to their unique coating, which brings more character. Cheers, Flo
I got these two lenses a few months ago when I saw your footage and after our chat. I really love them and they’re my first choice now. They go so well with the blackmagic 6k pro and makes framing a shot a bit easier. I hope DZO sends you the new massive Tango lenses to review!!
As always...great stuff Flo! I've had the 20-55 & 50-125 Pictor Zoom kit for a few years and love them. With the flood of lenses coming out over the past couple years, I wasn't aware of the 12-25...very interesting. However, I do already have the Tokina 11-20 Cine Lens so I probably don't need to get the 12-25mm.
Thanks for watching Jeff! 20-125 is a pretty useful kit I am sure :) The 12-25 is awesome but, yes, it would be similar to your Tokina in terms of range.
Re: character. Can you take some comparison shots? Should be easy on a tripod. A five second clip taken on the Vespid 21mm (or whichever) and the exact same shot with the Pictor set to 21mm. In log or even just toss a simple lut on there. Would be awesome to see the difference.
I actually did take a few in my studio but some were out of focus since I was filming myself and unfortunately I didn't have time to re do them! If I make a video on the Vespid I will definitely do that :). I couldn;t share the footage shot on the Vespid since the documentaries are not released yet!
A suggestion for another video: Do the Super 35 DZO Cinema lenses work on the full-frame Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6k with a Sigma MC-21 EF-to-L adapter without issues like vignetting? DZO’s full-frame lenses are quite a step-up in price and would be cool to be able to share lenses between a regular 6k/6k Pro and the CC 6k.
Another great review that makes me wanna spend the money I wish I have on new gear ! Anyways looking forward to test it out somedays. Besides I was very curious about the 20-55 and wether it could be a good idea to go along with my GH6 but before, I definitely have to do little bit more push-ups in order to handle that extra 1,5kg 😁
I see you use them with the NiSi mattebox, I was wondering if you used an adapter ? Because they're 95mm filter diameter if i'm correct and my laowa 12mm t2.9 which is also 95mm does not fit with the C5 Mattebox If anybody knows about this it would be a great help !
Sorry to but I follow you alot but you confuse me when you keep using same footage for many lens checks, then I don't know weather it's the footage from that lens or other lens, please please don't mind has Iam a film maker and I learn lot of you where lens Re concerned

So glad to hear mate!! They sure make a powerful combo with the 6K Pro :) And I saw photos of the new lenses, they look insane haha!
Been wanting to get my hands on the 20-55 hopefully soon! Thank you for the review and value as always.
The 20-55 is really good, very useful range! Thanks for watching :)

I wonder how they compare to the sigma zoom lenses. A friend is selling his 20-55 and Im considering it for my Ursa Mini G2.

Hi, i have the 20-55mm and the 50-125mm lenses. I'm struggling to put them on the black magic pocket 6k, do i need an adaptor? New to this

Thanks brO!!
Haha apply for the Artlist Fund and you can use of them :)
Can you use these on full-frame cam like the BM cinema camera? Or does it make sense to get the catta zooms?
I like your IPad stand. May I know the brand?
That's the one: amzn.to/2YEyQnj
@@OfTwoLands thank you!
Is the 20-55 pictor zoom better than laowa ranger 17-50 in image quality?
I haven't tried the 17-50 unfortunately.
I love the BTS shots!
Thank you! Was a fun shoot :) xx
These looks good! Are you reviewing the DZO primes?
They do! I might if I get to keep them long enough haha!
Good review. How do you find the focus throw compared to DSLR zooms? Was it easier to find and hold focus?
Thank you for your information it was very helpful, I will give DZO a shot
Glad you liked it, thanks!!
Just about to do a shoot with these. Great timing!
Nice!! Hopefully this is helpful :)

The NISI C5 and the Pictor are 95 so they fit perfectly :)
@@OfTwoLands My laowa must be doomed then x) Thanks for the quick response !
Money no object, I would have the 20 to 55 zoom, then the 21, 35 & 50 primes later, for low light coverage. Thanks.
That makes sense and would be a pretty good set for most situations!
these lenses are really light and compact compared to big name cine zooms which are typically 5kg+, aome more like 10kg.
Thank you for this review. 👍🏻☀️📸☕🌋🌴. I prefer zoom.
Thanks for watching :)
Great job!!!
Thank you!!
I loved this exact combo, good review. If anyone is interested I’m selling my 20-55 on eBay.
Thanks for watching!!
