Love being able to Zoom in and out on subjects without having to adjust the focus. I've used these for some time and have no complaints.
Easily the most clear yet nuanced test of these lenses I've seen (and fun too!). Great presentation and knowledge base, well done.
Nice vid! keep it coming!
Did you have to add any shims to the lens? I have a BMPCC 6K pro. Great video for the DZO pictor breakdown.
Great video! Can you please share the shim used for the BMPCC6K (other users have asked as well) :)
Thx
Do the fujinon mk lenses perform better in the sharpness, distortion and CA tests?
I had this pair on demo at about the same time as you did your review. On the example I had, I noticed that the geometric distortion went from barrel at 20mm all the way to pincushion at 55mm. You did not note the pincushion distortion. However, I could see it in your footage. The only range where I didn't see distortion was from 35mm to 38mm. Aside from the distortion, these are impressive lenses with appealing character. If the distortion doesn't bother you, these lenses are good value for money.
A moviegoer does not care at all about the things you mentioned.
Please could you tell me what is the sensor width and height when shooting 4k at 16:9 aspect ratio?
How did you go from DZO PL to the black magic?
all my filters are 82mm, my thoughts is I would need an 86mm to 82mm step down ring. Does this mean this lens would vignette?
The BPMCC6K sensor and crop factor should help avoid vignetting when stepped down that much
The problem with this lenses is the minimal distance focus. 0.6m is very bad.
only issue I have with magic is their camera sensors have this dark overcast on them. regardless how you edit, the dark tone is a turn off.
did you have to reshim from PL mount to EF mount?
