I have a problem I hope you can help with 2000 f250 7.3 diesel.zf6. Problem is my cab harness got smoked out if ignorance and desperation I bought a harness out of a 2000 f250 4,x4 automatic truck of Facebook market place and it doesn't work and I don't think I'm getting my money back. Is there a way to repin something or a way to make it work any help would be appreciated.
Awesome job man. How much time in labor do you have in these conversations? I really want to do mine but cant have my truck down for expanded periods. Thanks, and again nice work.
Do you swap harness and everything or is it only trans and pedal i only ask because im planning on doing it myself and hoping to have it done in a day or 2 i have a full parts truck that the 6 speed is coming from
Yes I swap the transmission harness. That's one of the easiest parts of the swap. It just unclips right under the brake master cylinder. I have other videos on here that show more step by step how to do the entire conversion.
Hey man I wanted to swop my 2003 6.0 to the zf6 just don’t know what if there’s any certain year pedal assembly I should swap to or year ZF6 or anything special I need to know if you could give me any tips that would be awesome
As far as I know the zf6 conversion on a 6.0 is almost the same as the 7.3 but the 6.0 has the same bolt pattern as the 5.4 Triton and the 6.8 of similar years.
@@elmaschinon2699 doing the swap. My 4R100 just crapped out for the last time. I want to put in a ZF6 if you’ll help me out I can bring the vehicle out to you
Yes the carpet goes back in decently. Once u cut the hole for the shifter it allows for it to fit better. The mpgs go up. I gained about 2.5 mpg after doing the swap.
It be hard to say man. I live in northern California. Here if u pay a shop it be close to 10k parts and labor. I did mine and a few of my friends trucks for 5 to 6k parts and labor.
What I do is take the wiring harness from the donor truck and swap it in. The only real trick is a wire that you need to jump to make the truck think it's in park so that it will crank over. I show that process in my other video.
U don't need a wiring harness but it makes it easier. U also need a t-case, manual pcm, shifter, flywheel, clutch assembly, clutch master and slave cylinder, clutch pedal, brake pedal and the trans tunnel cut out from a zf6 truck. Or u can make one out of sheet metal.
Well as far as I know both the 5.4L and the 6.8L have the same bell housing bolt pattern as the 4.6L triton and the 6.0 and 6.4 powerstroke so you should be able to swap in one of those manual transmission into ur rigs.
One of the trucks I swapped did have a constant check engine light but it was from the pcm having a bad diode for the glow plug system. But all I do is throw in the original pcm every 2 years to get it smoged.
U need the ZF6 trans and the T-case. A clutch, a flywheel, the clutch pedal, the clutch master and slave cylinder, the brake pedal, the shifter, the trans tunnel cut out, the wiring harness for the ZF6, the PCM for the ZF6 and a new carpet. Or u can just cut a hole in the old carpet and kinda stretch it.

I'm wanting to do this to my truck..Do you do this? How much will it cost me? Where can I get everything I need? I will stay in touch with you.. love your program
I've done a few. The cost will depend mostly on how much the parts cost. You would need to buy a parts truck to bring the cost down.

I can usually do this conversion in one day. Just as long as I have all the necessary parts. I did my first truck in a weekend in my driveway.
Chido 🤙🏼
How to you attach the wires from a manual to an automatic transmission?
If you're converting from manual to auto you have to get the harness for an auto because the auto trans requires a lot more wires.
Did you convert The zf6 to a 4x4 to fit The automatic transfer??
No. I got the transfer case that fits the zf6.
What year did you get ur zf6 out of looking at getting one from a 7.3 but have heard they won’t bolt to a 6.0
The 7.3 and 6.0 have different bolt pattern on the bell housing. All the trucks I've done are 7.3s. My truck is a 2000 with a zf6 from an 01.
Could I do this to my 6.0? Didn’t do much research yet but I hate auto but bought the truck bc of a helluva good price for the truck!
Brian Davis You should be able to. I haven't done one my self yet either. 6.0s aren't so bad. They just need a little tlc.

My truck doesn't have cruise control so I didn't have to deal with that. Sorry I can't help with that.
