Pokémon Games become personal. There’s an element of emotional attachment for a lot of us. The developers know this and so thus, to prevent a pesky little brother or sister who’s mad at you for not letting them play your game from deleting your data ever so easily while you’re at school or work, they created the secret, big brother way of deleting your data! :D

Make sure you go back and play 5th and 6th gens! For whatever reason, when B/W and B2/W2 came out, a lot of people hated them but now they're considered to be one of, if not THE best pokemon games. When X/Y came out a lot of people loved them but now they're seen as awful by the majority of the community. It's considered "too easy" as is White and White 2. But now that I'm older with a lot less time to play I LOVE that they're easy for those of who use play casually now. I love gens 5-7, my absolute favorites by a LONG shot. If you're into Pokemon at all I highly recommend playing 5-7 ❤
