- 🎯 200m Soda Can Challenge: FX Impact M3 vs. FX Panthera | Viking Airgunner
In this thrilling episode of Viking Airgunner, I team up with my buddy Stefan for an epic long-range shooting challenge! We're pushing the limits of our air rifles as we attempt to hit a soda can at an incredible distance of 200 meters.
🔍 What to Expect:
Rifles in Action: I'm using my FX Impact M3 with a tensioned 700mm heavy liner, while Stefan is rocking his FX Impact M3 with a 600mm heavy liner. We’re also putting my FX Panthera 700mm through its paces.
Ammunition: We’ll be testing the 16gr and 20gr slugs from Zan, and briefly, the 20.5gr slugs from NSA, to see which performs best at extreme distances.
Step-by-Step Distance Increase: We begin at 100 meters, then gradually extend the distance, challenging our skills and equipment as we aim for that elusive 200-meter shot.
Ultimate Precision Test: Can we nail the perfect shot at 200 meters?
Watch as we fine-tune our setups and test the limits of these powerful airguns.

Well Peter and Stefan. great video looks like you guys are having fun. That's what it is all about. Keep up the good work and thanks.
Definitely enjoyed it SIR. Thanks for sharing 🎯✌🏼
Fantastic Peter and Stephen 😊
Greetings fellow Vikings, longranging with .177's sure is fun and very challenging. I havent been shooting lately, but got a 500mm heavy liner yesterday, pin probe and more slugs for my mk2. Cant wait to start tinkering again, just couldnt get myself started on it yesterday because shooting was just to much fun and getting familiar with my beautiful airrifles again was too much of a joy! Happy shooting 😊
Excellent video man o man I’m falling in love with.177 cal in my m3. I finally figured it out omg it’s a tough road! I’m not an expert like you but I’m finally making shots at 187yards and I finally think my m3 is worth a hoot lol. Thanks for your videos
Well if you are making 187 yard shots I would say that it is expert level 😎
Great that you are getting to know the 177 better. Loads and loads of fun ahead 😃
It is fun to push the envelope, but really for me, when you start to miss more than you hit, the fun evaporate.
Thats also why my preferred targets are 2" / 5 CM
Agree
But every once in a while it is funny doing something else. Shooting groups at 100 m is my main event, no doubt! But this was still lots of fun. And with the new gained knowledge, it will be interesting going for 250 m next time - and hopefully with the M4 😎😃
@@VikingAirgunner Well you dont have to ask me very much to come and give it a try.
you probably want a tilled field so there is a nice even dry dirt surface to hopefully see where things land so you can " walk " them in.
Excellent video Peter - and looks like a lot of fun !
Hey Peter - the Panthera seems quiet when shooting. Did you leave the E Vision muzzle-break on ?
nice shooting Peter. It is difficult to make corrections if you don't now where the impact was. Maybe a paper background would help. Anyway, you need a good spotting scope to see the hits. Keep on shooting;-)
Thanks Markus 🙂
We had all kind of ideas. Place a camera and stream to a phone, use the drone, but I believe that you are right about the spotting scope. Christmas is just around the corner, so I might be lucky 😃
We will figure out a way to make things easier next time for sure 😃
Congratulations! The best!
👍👍
Very entertaining Peter. I was expecting to see you with an M4 by now - have you one on order? I’d be interested to see your review of it
Thanks Mikey 🙂
I could have had one by now, but I always buy my Impacts at the same place and it has not arrived yet. But it should be here within a month or so 🤞😇🤗
So the 250 m soda can challenge will hopefully be with the M4 😎
All of these shots are with 4.5 slugs correct? You both are incredible shooters!
Thanks buddy 🙂
Only 177 yes 😎
Very interesting to watch shooting beyond 100 meters. I had ok results with cans at 140 meters, but I gave up when I tried hitting a frying pan at 200 meters - I didn't have a clue where I was hitting.
Did you use Chairgun/Strelok to calculate your holdover? And if yes, where these numbers reliable?
Thanks again for another great .177/DK video
Knowing the impact is so important - the most important lesson we learned for sure.
I was using Strelock and it was not accurate. I have the right BC and all measurements are checked again, so I seriously dont know what Im doing wrong 🤔
But we managed to pull it off anyway 😃
Nice shots, especially with .177 200m is very difficult in windy conditions. Do you think the Panthera is the better slug shooter? Since it was specifically designed by Fx for shooting slug competitions. I have an M3 and Wildcat mk3 in .22 and I'm considering buying a Panthera and selling my Wilcat. By the way, is that Danish that I hear you speaking? 😊
Thanks buddy 🙂
Yes we are speaking danish - and close to a farmer dialekt 😃
Finding a better slug shooter than the M3 is very difficult. At least in 177.
In other calibers it seems that the dynamic block is doing really well but in 177 the M3 is still the winner.
The power in the Panthera is unmatched! I havent tested the max output, but shooting the 20 gr Zan at 1000 fps is not even close 😎 So for a 22 with a heavy slug I can imagine that it is quite fun 😃
Hello, are you shooting .177 slugs?
There’s no way you have a pocket chronograph for each rifle haha nice!
I was considering two bipods, but thats where I drew the line 😜😂😂
here's another challenge. Shooter 1721 (Rick Rehm) has a 500 yard challenge. 5 consecutive shots at 500 yards. If I remember correctly, the target is a 12" metal plate.
He has so much experience at the long ranges. We might not catch up in the next video, but we will hopefully close in - and have lots of fun doing it 😃😎
The is SO much to learn while shooting at these distances!
What is the best Fx pcp sir..Please try with dynamic
Dynamic has the same block as both the King and the Panthera, so not much of a difference between them.
Best pcp? 🤔
In this airgun world that question is like asking what religion is the best 😂
I will say - the right gun for the right task and you will get the best result 😇
