+Yammie Noob If you've noticed, for some reason the 675 in this video seems a bit louder than yours, doesn't it? I was just watching one of your videos and I found this out, could just be the mic, or a new exhaust package on the 2017 one, but I agree you do need a new exhaust XD
Yeah it does sound a little different. Could be cause the bike is new, Yammie and my bikes are getting some miles into them now :p. Something I'll eventually change down the road to give it new life and to shed some weight but right now the stock exhaust to me sounds perfectly fine.
So true! Did you notice that they even took the time to make a sleek looking plate holder?! I mean, its still huge, but for "meeting the regulations" that is probably the best looking least clunky one i've ever seen!
Just caught this on IG. Looking forward to it since normally your only on bigger bikes. Telling you the 675R comes alive at the track. I pass "big" bikes regularly running in the intermediate class on mine. =)
Dude, your 675R is brilliantly amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still speechless over it's performance and I only rode it for one 20 minute session!!! I was so much faster and in control on that bike, it's amazing! I tried to swap my R1M with my good buddy's 675R for the rest of the day but he refused, lol!
Haha thanks dude. You don't realize just HOW much power it has compared to an inline 4 until your lean on it. When I first sat on my 675R my reaction was "where is the rest of it?" Its so nimble and loaded with linear power. All the suspension goodies mixed with a quickshifter make it a pure bred track bike. Glad you finally got your hands on one!!!!
I'm trying to permanently get my hand on one :-) I LOVE how it sounds when the quick shifter is engaged! I LOVE the sequential blue LED shift light and it's perfect placement! The only issue I have with the bike is the tiny gear indicator. Have you adjusted to that? Also, it comes with a 180/55 rear, have you tried a 190/55 or 200/55?
Quickshifter is flawless. I went Attack Rearsets on mine. Very grippy pegs for your boots at the track and it has standard and reverse shift. When I'm at the track I don't often look at my gear indicator because I usually shift based on the sound the bike makes. Tracks I've been to before I know, "flat out here..brakes...downshift x2...nose in. I know when I went from a clear to a Zero Gravity light smoke Corsa windscreen it helped some gauge visibility. Haven't tried a 190/55 but a 180/60 is unbelievable on this bike.
First off, I can't tell you enough how much I love your videos. Secondly, you hit the nail on the head for Triumph...you spend a little (ok allot) more but you get soooo much more....and that sound. Trust me I love my Street Triple
He's much more than over confident. He's blindly arrogant. He thinks he did nothing wrong in the recent crash, he thinks all of his 3 track days make him a pro rider. He's so ignorant that you have to attribute it to a lack of intelligence. You could be a MotoGP racer and he'll tell you how he can keep up with you on a MotoGP course. It sounds good to him, coming out of his mouth, but to the rest of the educated community, he sounds like an utter moron.
next time please put it in gear for the rev sound its silenced when no gear is engaged and when its warmed up and in gear the exhaust opens a flap and gets louder.
Hands down my favorite part of the Daytona is how thin it is. Most of the other 600 and even 1000cc supersports (particularly older model years, think '06-'12) feel fat and heavy. The Daytona is super slim and feels as slim and aggressive as it looks. Price point is up there, though. $13k for a new R version is steep. I paid $5k for my '07 with a ton of parts and only 5k miles. Really cannot beat the sound and feel of a Triumph triple, not are I'll ever ride anything else.
I’ve been riding for about 6 years or so… mostly sport cruisers, Vrod, now an fxdr and many other bikes.. but I’ve wanted to get a sport bike as well… and everytime i look at getting any other bike, I always come back to the Daytona every single time.. I love this thing. Especially the 2012 Daytona. I need to take one on a test ride cause I don’t think I can get anything else
OMGosh… Triumph Daytona-R! What a sweet package. Just a touch of high end mods: Brembo, quick shift, carbon accents! I’m considering this purchase, thanks Chase
I bought the very first Daytona 675 that landed in my state back in 2006. It was almost perfect even back then. MMMM that sound tho. I loves me some 3 cylinder 675. There are few things in life better than a well piped triple at full sing.......very few.
Chase this was my first bike like ever and it's perfect, because of the mid range power range you don't need to rev it out, and because it handles so well it's a great starter bike. The abs is great, the power is so linear, handles amazingly, quick shifter made life easier it's an all around great bike. So because it's so awesome all the way around it's was a great choice for my first bike. I've had mine for a year and half already having to put a set of tires on it and I'm happy with it.
Im gonna be honest. I've been searching around for bikes for quite awhile now. Ive always looked past this one. Idk why. But now that i've actually looked into it. Im really diggin this bike.
It's funny that I never knew about these bikes until today. I currently ride a Yamaha FZ6R and have been wanted to upgrade to an R6 or a CBR1000RR, then I saw this bike at my local bike shop and fell in love. Gotta start saving!
aGamerGetsFIT You're a genius. ;) Sadly, you have to pay tax for it for to be legal. The actual price for the bike is the same as in the UK for instance. But there is an insane 180% surplus tax. Sucks balls.
Been watching a lot of daytona videos as I'm out of the country and missing my Daytona again. been riding a Yamaha RZX for a while over here. Another good video. thanks mate.
As always...excellent review! I do wish that someone would make a true premium 600 class bike. This bike is so close! Imagine this bike with the R1 HUD and programmable modes...maybe some of the BMW hand warmers/cruise control too. Its too bad that you literally must go to a liter bike to get all the goodies. None the less, the Daytona 675R is bad ass and you as a reviewer do it justice! Congrats on that awesome partnership with Triumph!
The sound of the motor/exhaust is intoxicating. You have a perfect canyon motorcycle and a track bike that you could adjust and have some incredible track days.I like it just the way it is as it has the best suspension and brake components with a quick shifter and steel braided lines.Exhaust sounds and looks good. The motor is powerful and I wouldn't change a thing.Great Motorcycle as is with good wheels and sticky tires. If I had the funds I would buy one tomorrow and ride it everyday and have a big smile on my face. For now I can only dream.Chase you are blessed to have a friendship with Triumph.
I had lunch there this summer eastbound to Deal's Gap. wonderful place for the Daytona! I'm sooo tired of bike videos done in flatland traffic!! nice video. too bad Turner's was closed; their burgers are primo!
Amazing that you're getting this early test ride. Cool! I have a 2013 675R in white (natch) and love this bike. :) It's my favorite supersport and I've ridden a few of 'em by now. I totally know what you're talking about when you talk about how it handles or eases nicely into turns...not falling..not fighting...just beautiful corner entry and exit. My bike was purchased used, but it came with a sexy Austin Racing GP2R exhaust which I traded-in for a killer V3 Titanium. Sounds so good. This bike is only 23 lbs. heavier than the Ninja 300 I had (wet weight, stock). I also really love this bike with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. Tried the Dunlop Q3s but didn't like 'em as much. I never got to try the Super Corsas but I'll try 'em sometime. Gotta love that intake howl too. I also like how narrow it is. :D Blood Mountain looks hella fun. After riding this you're gonna want one...right? ;) You're right, the gauge on the left (white on black LCD) is VERY hard to see. I think Triumph should really fix that. I kinda expected the 2017 to have addressed this issue. This is my one major complaint with the bike. This has to be one of the best looking bikes I've ever seen too. I feel like I sat in on the design team with this one, LOL. It matches my theme (Spacep0d) and my aesthetic sensibilities. The 675 or 675R is great for the street because of its 675cc and it kinda splits the difference between the peakiness of an inline four and the torque of a twin. I love it. Nice review man. Very well done. Big thumbs up.
I rode an R6 for three years. The top end is insane but the midrange torque is basically nonexistent. You have to hit 10k RPM to get anything out of it. Got a 2009 675 and I'll never look at the Japanese inline 4's ever again. It handles better, and while the horsepower numbers are basically the same, the midrange/linear torque is unreal. I do 99% of my riding on twisty 2-lane roads and less than a week on it, I was coming out of turns so much faster than I ever did on my best days with the R6. Triumph is where it's at.
The whistle is a three cylinder thing. It's the straight cut gears on the balance shaft that make the noise. I just put a BMC air filter in my 675R, the induction sound is fucking amazing!
guys why no one is talking about the street triple? I am in love with these middleweight sportsbikes but had to choose a naked because I will use it mostly in the city and the roads here in istanbul are not as wide/smooth + the insane traffic... I'm getting the bike next week but please tell me your opinions about the it, I would really appreciate.
Just bought this bike yesterday. Guys, it's legit. Brembo, Ohlins. Quickshifter. 405lbs wet. Triple. Everything about it screams out at you. I rode an R3 previously and the weight difference is so minimal yet the power difference is insane. 60mph in 6th gear and I ended up doing 135mph in no time. Breaking 100mph is stupid easy on this bike. I'm glad I picked this bike up over the zx6r and cbr600rr. It's biggest competitor is probably the R6. Despite the zx6r 636cc.
Hi dude I have the 2013 675r only just brought it around 6 weeks ago its truly awesome comes with so many extras as stock and I don't know of anyone who owns one that doesn't like it bet your sold on it ain't ya 🏁🏁🏁
Great review - thanks for putting together. Also, this was the R version which includes the Ohlins suspension (TTX MKII in rear that retail at approx $1500 and NIX30 forks in front for similar price), brembo radial mount mono blocks, and pirelli supercorsas . If you want a less expensive daytona simply buy the standard Daytona 675 which costs several thousand less than the R model-but you don't get brembo or ohlins or supercorsas nor the carbon fiber everywhere). Reality is the R model is a great value if you want what it offers.
Hey Windy! So we meet again! haha.....In your reply to my query in another daytona review, you shared you had speedymoto clip ons installed on your bike. I went to their website & I found bar risers. Was thinking of perhaps the 75mm size.... which gives abt 50mm bar height above the triple tree. Just that i dunno if extensions to the cables & lines are needed. Which type are you using?
Mine are the adjustable clip ons with omni bars. I've heard they (speedymoto) no longer make my type. If you go to daytona675forum there is a thread on bar risers and some user feedback. I've heard the Helibars are good. Need to call them to be sure they work with an R model due to the difference in brembo master cylinder.
Guys, Please skip to 2:30 to avoid some of the worst tech music Ive ever heard in a vid. It was so loud and annoying my tooth filings started to come out..
I own a zx10r. my next 14k would be on this. cornering and brakes are more important to me than acceleration. by a slim margin that makes the 675 a better buy for me over 1k. we have lots of twisties here and around cny.
That bike sounds like an eager puppy. The way you're describing it makes me think that it just wants to do whatever you want it to do as best as it can...
I literally just bought a 2008 triumph Daytona 675 (non R) and holy crap it hauls ass. I'm actually surprised how aggressive it is. Amazing bike though
'Bout time you crack the seal on that can of awesomeness! Even Royal saw it in the background of your garage build video and was asking "what's that cool white bike daddy?" I told him we will probably see it in a first ride video pretty soon. He will get to check it out when he gets home from school, he will be excited! Awesome vid bro! Keep it up. Ps. Royal wanted me to ask you when you will be starting your garage build?
You know I was thinking of going from my 2013 er6f to a 636. But I think looking at this bike, hearing it....seeing it...I want it!!...I dont care if its more expensive it's awesome!!....and British!!
Nice video Chase. I like this bike, and being British it hits the right patriotic note with me (I live in England). Think I prefer the older shape to be honest, but the engine sound is pretty slick
This bike has one of the best stock exhausts ever.
ikr
+Yammie Noob If you've noticed, for some reason the 675 in this video seems a bit louder than yours, doesn't it? I was just watching one of your videos and I found this out, could just be the mic, or a new exhaust package on the 2017 one, but I agree you do need a new exhaust XD

This bike is a little overpriced for a middleweight motorcycle but it is the BEST bike in its range. Absolutely Love it.
Superior quality isnt free!!
Yes, you could have out run that copper, lol! Check out my track day review on that same 675R tomorrow. Excellent video Sir.
Just caught this on IG. Looking forward to it since normally your only on bigger bikes. Telling you the 675R comes alive at the track. I pass "big" bikes regularly running in the intermediate class on mine. =)

One thing I like about the Daytona is the steering stabilizer being mounted out of sight rather than on the triple clamp/clip ons. Love my Baetona.
"It's very confidence inspiring" Is that why Yammi hit a car head on?
He's much more than over confident. He's blindly arrogant. He thinks he did nothing wrong in the recent crash, he thinks all of his 3 track days make him a pro rider. He's so ignorant that you have to attribute it to a lack of intelligence. You could be a MotoGP racer and he'll tell you how he can keep up with you on a MotoGP course. Holy shit the music was loud for the glory-shots
That was epic!
I like how he assigns the right music for the right bike
And pretty bad. After "thuh drop, bro," it was pretty insufferable.
My exact thoughts on the Street Triple. Its just so different feeling and sounding. Brings a smile to my face and many other peoples face
I bought the very first Daytona 675 that landed in my state back in 2006. It was almost perfect even back then. MMMM that sound tho. I loves me some 3 cylinder 675.

best editing out of all the moto vloggers for sure! Love the vids man!
I rented that beauty for a day, and after riding it for hours my shoulders started hurting haha. I loved it!
Dude I've been waiting for this review for a year. Dreams really do come true.
Good MORNING with that drop, and a gorgeous bike. Dope as usual Chase.

been waiting on the Daytona 675R first ride for a long time! thanks C2W!!!
I love watching you ride triumphs because my great grandfather was the man who brought triumph into Canada/US!! so cool to see reviews on them
It's funny that I never knew about these bikes until today. I currently
ride a Yamaha FZ6R and have been wanted to upgrade to an R6 or a
CBR1000RR, then I saw this bike at my local bike shop and fell in love.
Gotta start saving!
the cost of bikes are starting to get way out of control....
And then in Norway you would have to pay 30k$ for a Cbr1000RR and the other super bikes ;c
Go fuck yourself, buddy. :D In Denmark bikes are three times as expensive. THREE times!!!
You don't know how good you have it. ;)
Bitch, koster faen meg ikke 30K$ for en CBR1000 i Norge?
+Jesper Glinvad can't you guys buy in UK then ride them over?
aGamerGetsFIT You're a genius. ;) Sadly, you have to pay tax for it for to be legal. The actual price for the bike is the same as in the UK for instance. But there is an insane 180% surplus tax. Sucks balls.
I just took out a deer with my 2008 Triumph Daytona 675. thinking about upgrading. love my triumph, awesome bikes. good video!
I got one of these for my first bike. Going to be a year in October and I love it. Just respect the bike and know your limits and you'll be fine.
A Ali man I could only get a ktm rc :/
Been watching a lot of daytona videos as I'm out of the country and missing my Daytona again. been riding a Yamaha RZX for a while over here. Another good video. thanks mate.
yes yes yes chase glad you got to test one there are costly but when your riding it you always have that smile

oh hell YEAH!! this is my dream bike ATM and I am certifiably jealous, need to ride one of these. another great first ride, well done
i love how much your video skills are improving, the cinematic intro was awsome
I met you today on blood mountain! the 996 and green ninja 300 that was us. been watching your videos for years. good stuff
I had lunch there this summer eastbound to Deal's Gap. wonderful place for the Daytona! I'm sooo tired of bike videos done in flatland traffic!! nice video. too bad Turner's was closed; their burgers are primo!
I really enjoy your first ride videos. Of all your first rides which is most comfortable
I also really love this bike with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. Tried the Dunlop Q3s but didn't like 'em as much. I never got to try the Super Corsas but I'll try 'em sometime.
Gotta love that intake howl too. I also like how narrow it is. :D
Blood Mountain looks hella fun. After riding this you're gonna want one...right? ;)
You're right, the gauge on the left (white on black LCD) is VERY hard to see.
OMG CHASE THE VIDEO I've BEEN WAITING FOR! THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!
You cant go wrong at all with A Dyatona 675, im glad i picked on up. Been my favorite bike hands down.
Hey, congrats on 500k subscribers man! Road to 1 million. :D
i'm liking the detail in the beginning when you introduce the bike =D that's something new hahaha
Great video Chase! LOVE the 675R to bits!
I just found my next bike! Great review video Chase.
Real nice intro, beautifully done sir you are my inspiration 👌
Congrats on half a million man.
Wooooah the exhaust note makes me have multiple eargasms!!!!!!!!
Chase, you, sir can't miss. Another great vid! :) Cheers! :)
Would anyone recommend this for a new bike after riding for 3 years on an aprilia rs125 2 stroke and a honda vfr400?
That sounds like a straight-6, best sound coming from a motorcycle I've ever heard!
Your bike reviews are simply just amazing
It looks so mean! Great video, the quality was awesome as always ;)
Looking at buying an older one, amazing help with this video Chase, love that I can search almost any popular bike and get the info
Wow, what a beautiful bike! Great shots, great video overall! Glad I found your page!
watching you in class love the review. keep up the good work
I rode an R6 for three years.
That music gave me an aneurysm.
Hope you recovered ok bro
The whistle is a three cylinder thing. It's the straight cut gears on the balance shaft that make the noise.
I just put a BMC air filter in my 675R, the induction sound is fucking amazing!
Grab a Motoholders fairing stay and some Driven block off plates and give it a listen. Whistle is twice as loud. =)
guys why no one is talking about the street triple? I am in love with these middleweight sportsbikes but had to choose a naked because I will use it mostly in the city and the roads here in istanbul are not as wide/smooth + the insane traffic... I'm getting the bike next week but please tell me your opinions about the it, I would really appreciate.
Man, I remember when Chase was a noob at video editing. Youve come so far :' ) Our little Chasey is all grow'd up!

Gotta love a Triumph. The best 600 bike you can buy as far as power and look.
"This. Bike. Just. EATS a turn" 😂😂😂😂😂 well said chase!!
One hell of a review! Thanks mate!
best middle weight IMHO
100% agree!
Just bought this bike yesterday. Guys, it's legit. Brembo, Ohlins. Quickshifter. 405lbs wet. Triple. Everything about it screams out at you. Thanks for telling me that a drop was coming. I totally wasn't aware of that.
Nice wheels please campare it to CBR 600rr ride feel - currently learning to counter steer on a CBR
Good vid! I'm just missing my 955i now that was a boss...a little big for me but that was a machine amoung machines.
been waiting for this for a long time Kreygasm
Hi dude I have the 2013 675r only just brought it around 6 weeks ago its truly awesome comes with so many extras as stock and I don't know of anyone who owns one that doesn't like it bet your sold on it ain't ya 🏁🏁🏁

I've heard the Helibars are good. Need to call them to be sure they work with an R model due to the difference in brembo master cylinder.
I didn't need to make any mods to my bike - 2015 675R with the adjustable clip ons and omni bars.
Wish they gave you a 2013 then you could ride the piss out of it. Enjoyed the review, this is definitely the dream bike. Best of all worlds.
Triumphs are always special especially this torque beast....Hope to Ride on this one pretty soon
That cinematography is god worthy
1st bike you don't need to change the exhaust
But hasn't this bike been standing in your garage for months..?
Months? No. But I have had it for a few weeks now. This was filmed a couple days after picking her up.
+chaseontwowheels Okay, sorry :)
+chaseontwowheels Hope you have more videos coming if you've had it for a few weeks!
I think he's talking about the Speed Triple you had a while back
Nice
#Chaseontwowheels I'd love to see you test ride a new Honda VFR800. :)
He finally did it lmao
Finally! Thanks chase, you are awesome :3
brilliant bike.... shame it is discontinued in 2016.... this may be the last first ride video for this bike! hope the 800 is even better
I literally just bought a 2008 triumph Daytona 675 (non R) and holy crap it hauls ass. I'm actually surprised how aggressive it is. Amazing bike though
My dream bike! Thanks Chase.
Is that MSRP at 0:44 right? Their website says 14k for the '16R. Did they seriously lower the MSRP for '17?
'Bout time you crack the seal on that can of awesomeness! Even Royal saw it in the background of your garage build video and was asking "what's that cool white bike daddy?" I told him we will probably see it in a first ride video pretty soon. He will get to check it out when he gets home from school, he will be excited! Awesome vid bro! Keep it up.
Ps. Royal wanted me to ask you when you will be starting your garage build?
That, my friend, will be starting in probably mid October after we move early in the month.
+chaseontwowheels can you plz do a first ride on yummies husqvarna sm610 please
You know I was thinking of going from my 2013 er6f to a 636. But I think looking at this bike, hearing it....seeing it...I want it!!...I dont care if its more expensive it's awesome!!....and British!!
This and the fire blade are the most aesthetically pleasing imho
I only live 4 miles away from the triumph factory in the uk ,, guess what bike I own ,,speed triple cheers Shane
Nice video Chase. I like this bike, and being British it hits the right patriotic note with me (I live in England). Think I prefer the older shape to be honest, but the engine sound is pretty slick
The daytona is one of the best, and most uncomfortable bikes I’ve ever ridden. I love it, it sucks!
The arrow exhaust add on is a must.
Man that's a good looking bike! Sounds great too!
What your first rides need... is a few......just a few driveby clips - for looks, seating position but also sound! :) hope it makes sense!
My dream bike man! Gonna start riding this coming spring on a ninja 650! Use that for a couple years then eventually get this beautiful Daytona!
Did you do it
This bike is one of my favorite bikes that come stock
You should ask Triumph if they'll set you up on a course, so you can ride it properly.
Great bike!
that intro was so epic I had to subscribe
