My left ear enjoyed this video
Apolytos I’m sorry I screwed the audio, it’s only got the left channel :(
RidingWithTom It’s okay man, love the vids!
i thought my stereo was fucked then... had a heart attack! :O
loving the talking with the hands while no handing all the time... that takes pure control though :D
I'm in northern hemi so hear it in right ear.
you know whats fun?
i started the video, no sound, looked at the comments, everyone saying "my left ear enjoyed"
then i remembered... my headphone just work in the right side...
Nayexx 99 try cleaning the other side, made my headphones work
Put the right headphone over your left ear
Same bro
Let's keep the crashing into yellow porsches to a minimum......or rocks for that matter, too.
Dead meme
Stôan It's not.
Each and every new video which contains or references a Daytona, a top comment will invariably be about dragging knee into a porsche. It was funny the first 100 times it was used.
The difference is Tom can ride......
A well known motovlogger makes shitty top 10 videos, he is himself a new rider, gives bad advice and talks as an authority figure.
Buys a Daytona and totals it going too fast around a corner and hits a boulder
Buys anoteher Daytona and totals it going too fast, crossing double yellows and into a yellow porsche (youtube search yammie noob crash)
I never said i liked his videos; theyre cheap and awful, but I dislike the mindless DIWD fans more, who just spew anything their favourite youtuber says, because they say it.
Watching your videos over the years pushed me to a 2014 D675R for my third bike a few years ago. LOVE IT! Welcome to the family.
Expensive Weddings are one of the biggest mistakes you can make. Managed a photography studio and we did over 200 weddings a year. So yea i saw a lot of people making stupid decisions...
How do I like this comment 100x's?
Seriously quick bike, especially in corners. The triumph triple has an addictive quality and the overrun with its pops and spit is magic. Good choice Tom
God, that 3 cylinder sounds sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. 👌
One of the best sounding engines out there - love that 3 cyl growl
Litre bike for the track and a 600 for the road is the perfect combo. I plan on doing the same next spring. My 2016 R1 is being converted to a track only bike, and I'll treat myself to a Street Triple RS for the road. Cant wait!
Love the Daytona, Happy to see you on one. awesome
I love the inline-3 whistle soooo much!
600 is the sweet spot and good luck for the wedding day :)
Ehh ada den dim
Just got one, 3 days ago! Wow I can feel your happiness, buddy!!! Congrats from Brazil, RJ - Niterói.
It's kinda good you were ran into, you get a bike you've been wanting for a long time AND you have a track bike now
I uses this vid to test my head phones, not the best off ideas
I'm getting it in both ears? Or am I just bad at judging hearing? Both likely I believe.
Keegan Hottinger defenetly only 1 ear, if i take 1 pod out its silince, and my headphones work on other sound things.
Rik
of course it's everyone's own decision, but don't complain about expensive weddings.just don't do it and be done with it. I signed the paper. gave her a ring and we saved the 60000 aus$ weddings cost in Japan
+Riding Japan I shouldn’t be complaining, I want a nice wedding and I’m super excited about
Asians love expensive weddings.
RidingWithTom
I've never met a man excited about a wedding. I guess there's a 1st for everything.
my mrs is asian and i said im not spending a fortune and shes fine with that, Thank God hehe
Superb bike choice Tom. Really enjoyed the commentary on this one. Pretty sure you'd knock it out of the park if someone regularly gave you a different bike to review. Also, did I hear two separate mentions of the 'Panigale'? ;)
Having owned 2 xl 1000v varaderos in my life, i can tell you the startup sound coming from the exhaust brought tears in my eyes. This video helped decide on buying the daytona cuz of the same dinstictive sound
I have a 675 non-R and love it. While I wanted an R model I got too good of a deal to turn it down plus I'm not a track guy anyway.
I think the Daytona is a great choice. Would love a triple when I’m older as they sound really unique .You can really spot them out at British superbike races and it’ll be amazing hearing 30 + of them in moto2 soon.
Great looking bike, but nothing compares to the sound of that bike.
The daytona has always been pretty high up my 'must ride' list. Awesome
I have no idea what I am talking about but I'd take the Daytona over the cbr any day
no more japanese av videos?=
yep
Great choice Tom, I have the street triple r & the feel & sound of the Triumphs really do make you enjoy 😊 the whole riding experience. Happy days !!! ENJOY 😊
Tom, nice bike mate. I gave ya a shouty in my latest, barely-viewed vid. Now you have the same bike as me. It's a fantastic bike! No right channel audio in this one! :D That totally sucks about the drunk driver taking you out on your CBR! SUCKS. But dude, you're on a very special bike now. 675R Triple. :D
Good luck with the wedding!
You got my dream bike. Good for you man!
I fully understand your reasons for getting a supersport over another superbike. I was looking for something new and decided on a 600 instead of a litre for pretty much the same reason - can only use a fraction of it on the road...
I've always wanted one too but considering the price and reliability I just haven't been able to make the jump. They sound and look awesome though. Great road-bike with lots of low-end torque.
Nice one,675r always my first choice for 600cc class.Öhlins suspension,Brembo M50 brakes, racing abs, smooth and powerful mid-torque.Reasonable price for 600cc bikes in my country.
Im excited to see this bike in your hands.
Audio broke
When I had my 636, I loved it in the tight twisty roads, and it had no trouble keeping up with my mates litre bike, except out of corners he had the torque
Why this one over an r6? Trying to make the choice between those two bikes myself and I'm getting mixed opinions
Theres nothing wrong with going from a 1000cc to a Daytona 675. Whoever knows about this bike, will know that this is an amazing motorcycle and a lot of power/torque for a inline 3 cylinder engine. Fucking amazing on the track also! Legend of a motorcycle!
Really interesting comments. I have had my daytona for a year now and was thinking about swapping to a cbr1000rr for the power down low. This video is making me think twice.
Daytona's a kick-ass bike. Almost bought one but ended up getting a Tiger Sport.
I do miss how you can chuck around the smaller 675, but in the end for me the 1050 just has the most power, and that's what gets the juices flowing.
I just brought one as well lol. I have a liter bike but I need something that is more same for commuting. I got a '15 with nice mods like arrow slip on, triumph rear sets, and bunch of other stuffs.
Good choice...i love mine, if I had to pick one con is the light weight with riding on the interstate as I get push around from wind buffering from cars and trucks. Good amount of mods you can do to.
gratz agian on ya wedding .still recon you kidds shoulda eloped .Trumpies are awesome and you still got ya cbr WIN!!!!.hope to see ya at the gp again . mental high five
At the end of the day, if your happy, that's all that matters. Happy riding!
Glad to hear you enjoy your Daytona keep being an awesome Aussie
Honestly why wouldn't you get one? Love that sound. Still another month to go here in Canada, enjoy the summer
I was so close to pulling the trigger on a Daytona 675r myself but as I've been riding a 2013 cbr600rr for the last 3 years it just wasn't enough of a difference to pull the trigger. It was still an awesome bike to ride though. That much better in every way over the CBR.
I’m 100% do not agree you could not use a litre bike on the road in Victoria I have Australian nationality I lived there for years there are plenty of places you could ride out for a ride with your mates in the middle of nowhere.
I'm going to buy a 2011 Yamaha R6 this weekend, But I heard that if I only add the slip on SC Project CRT it will not add a lot of sound due to the cat not being removed and not having a y mid pipe, anyone have experience?
Dude, the looks, the sound, the way it rides, what an amazing bike. I'm considering one for the last 3 years ... the only downside is that they are really stealable :/
How does the fuel economy of 1000cc vs the fuel economy of a 600cc on Highway trips
Hey mate,
I'm looking at getting a daytona 675 as I'm coming off restrictions shortly.. do you reckon it's worth forking out the extra dollary-doo's for the R version? Predominately will only be doing street riding so not sure if the better suspension is worth it if not tracking the bike
I test road one of these and loved everything about the bike
Summer coming? That is Summer already. You are riding, grass is green and the sky is clear.
Nice ride great looking bike and the sound can't believe negative comments as long as you are riding get the grin factor happening that's all you need
I used to think 1000cc bikes doing 140kph in 1st gear was bs until buying one, great choice with the daytona (still a bike I want). Nice work on making the best of a bodgy situation. Good luck with the wedding burnouts (all your fans are hoping for that vid). Looking forward to this relationship with the new mistress (the 675).
I've always wanted a 675r but I can't choice between a 2015 gsxr750 any advice anyone???
I own a 17 Daytona R in White Cake and adore it. TD a 18 CBR1000RR and was blown away. You can NOT go wrong w/ either bike. Depending on your mission one would be better than the other but thats on you. If i could Id take the breaks off the CBR and put them on the Daytona. If you had not rode the CBR1000RR youd think the Daytona was more than enough but they are coming out w/ the 765 soon so that would help!
Really want to see you on the Kawasaki zx10r! It’s amazing in every way. I have an ex hawk racing 2009 zx10 and omg it’s crazy!!! 215 bhp with zero traction control! Best thing is the wheels. It has 16.5 inch dymag wheels which means it handles like a 6 in the corners.
gaah the audio! Keeps coming in and out on the Right side. Love the bike, debating whether I should trade my CBR600rr for a 675r myself (tough choice, would probably be doing it just for the triple and ohlin's suspension).
The real question is, how couldn't you buy a daytona 675R?
What suburb where you riding in? It looks really familiar.
Can't wait to see some new stuff!!
Haha everyone complaining about left audio channel only, but when I enable my 7.1 Surround sound enhancer it somehow plays both channels (well fakes it)
Tom you ever thought about buying An big adv bike? 950/990 or 1090/1190?
Hey Riding With Tom that's a really nice high quality wide-angle camera what's the name of it?
after your trips with Nerb , I am surprised and confused that you didnt do down the adventure bike route ?
+Island Dreaming my WR250R is my adventure bike
whch city or town is this, where you driving through??? what neighbourhood
If your 636 is not stolen, do you still keep it or change it to this?
Dude in front of Tom at 3:40 probably hella confused at all the gesturing and zig-zagging
I sold my Daytona a little while ago and I sure do miss it. So much usable power for the streets. Out of the box there isn't much else on the market that I would want over the Daytona.
In saying that I don't think I would buy another. I loved everything about it but it didn't scare me. I'm still yet to have a litre bike so I think next will be an aprilia rsv4rf. Or possibly a new 1299 depending on the new v4 motor
Bike is nice tom. Hi tom if you had a pitbike and was upgrading your sprockets how would you run it iv got a demon x 170cc at the min I’m running a 16T at the front and a 41T at the back how would you run yours
I'm looking to get a 675 as well, what would be a good deal for one used 2013/2014? Seen some listed for around $9k would that be considered average or a good deal?
Can you do a comparison video of 675r vs 636 that you owned?
Hi tom. I'm thinking of buying preowned Daytona 675r. How much did you pay for yours and how many kms when you bought it?
If the 636 wasn't stollen would you still have it?
Can you begin on a 675r first bike and what is it like in comparison to a Yamaha r6
Seriously why is all mic audio on the left channel
he said on top comment... "I’m sorry I screwed the audio, it’s only got the left channel :("
I swiped and blew on my screen. Damn you.
Seth King i almost did aswell haha
Who are you insured with Tom? I'd love to get my bike back in the event of a crash (which I hope doesn't happen)
The Daytona 675R is a good choice for sure if you want a 600cc bike. I wish the exhaust was still under the seat, it looked a bit better, especially with a nice aftermarket exhaust.
Great to see you on a new bike! I just cant stand the front of the 675 though.... It looks old and weak. Not aggresive at all wich is a bummer
Your missus must be the biggest legend! I'm riding a MV Agusta F4R now but I miss my Daytona 675SE so much. You should stop comparing the triple 675 to a 4cyl 600... It's a step above 600's
can't you re-register the cbr? if it is in a track drive able condition you should be able to get it road legal again?
+AndreasRA very expensive to get it reregistered it requires everything to be fixed that was damaged in the crash with new factory parts
i see. well, glad you are enjoying the new 600 :-)
Hey Tom, what do you think about the new Ducati Supersport (S) and the Kawasaki Z900 ??
Lovely Daytona.
It's funny how people are different.
I actually prefer the black Blade.
Maybe cuz here in the UK a Triumph doesn't quite have the cache it does over there or in the States. Plus they are alot cheaper here too.
Will we see a Maccas Drive thru on this?
I used to have one, awesome bike. Wish I'd kept it for the track
How's the pillion seat of the 675r?
Good choice man. Why not consider the street triple though? Much comfier for the road :)
I want a striple for the road, and a daytona for the track. As it is I just have my daytona for everything lol. I have a first gen though, jealous of the ohlins on yours haha, weakest link of the first gens was the suspension
Do you still watch mcm (mighty car mods)
Anyone who doesn't like the 675 has never tried it, one of the most fun and rideable bikes you can buy. I urge everyone to try one and you won't be disappointed.
There is no sound in video?
*insert obligatory non-witty comment about a the sound panning involving lonely ears here*
It's taking those speed humps like it's at an equestrian event , impressive!
got any ideas for exhaust yet tom would highly recommend the sc project crt amazing bit of kit
Going to get exhaust for it?
Good bike..good on tracks...a friend of mine used it on Nurburgring and it was fast and nimble..strugled more on my GSXR-1000...good luck on your
new bike..ride safe
My wife bought me a second bike..and then she got one for her own...gooood girl...wonder why l married her...:))
i'm really curious, the how many bikes did you own in the last ~5 years ?
I love finding videos where someone quote unquote downgraded from a litre bike to a 600 yours is a perfect example... I kind of did the same my 1290 super Duke GT got written off and I ended up getting a 2016 675r !!!
Dropping from 178 horsepower to 120... Yep you can feel it!
But where I live in western Canada we have some excellent winding long roads that are barely enforced by traffic or police
I have had the super Duke up to 299 kmph verified with GPS to 294kmph it's zero to 200kmph time is around 8.5 seconds then it takes another 10 seconds to almost break 300.
I did the same test with the Daytona.. 0-200kmph was 10.8 seconds and Max I could get on the road due to length of strait stretch was a 255kmph GPS verified.
I kind of felt the same waywith people saying aww man you downgraded to the Daytona.. but all of the components combined make such a beautiful bike, I really do enjoy it!
dude the cbr is the lightest 1000cc bike... why do you always say its heavy lmfao. look up the numbers on the s1000rr and the cbr. the bmw is like 15 pounds heavier
Have you looked at the Ducati 899 or the 959, they are beast road and track bike, i own a 899. I am loven it :)
The 899 is a good bike but the 675 is quicker and has more accessible power. I've owned both.
Jim 86 mmm true, after i have had my 899`s ECU flashed and it's remapped. I found that the power is a lot more consistent and responsive. On the last few track days i have layed the smack down on a few Daytona, R6`s and cbr 600`s but i think they might have been stock, that might explain it. Haaha, the other thing is the rider also player a big part to :)
Mine was stock but sounds like your upgrades really helped. I know when FastBikes magazine did sports bike of the year 2016 at Portimao, the 675 was 2 seconds a lap faster than the 959!
Either way, both are great bikes. I definitely preferred opening the garage to see the 899 :)
haha yeah man, every morning i hope on it to got to work, turns heads with the white and red paint scheme :D
TBH Tom, The 675R Under full throttle is really not far off a 1000cc, in power for the first 3 gears. Ive nearly put 40k on my 675R and it still hammers hard!, And with anything but a s1000rr keeps up until the 180kph then the 1000cc walk off Also the Daytona does not go out of third At marry valley training center. i manged to get a 55.8sce lap
Definitely feels alot slower than a 1000cc. The only 1000cc iv ridden was a 2001 R1 and that definitely felt a shitton faster. The 675 doesnt crush your insides and your brain when you whack on full throttle like a litrebike does.
You need to try a old school muscle bike. Like a 1250 bandit or old gsx1100. Thats power
