i’ve been clear of health anxiety for exactly a year, and it’s nice seeing pop ups from this channel because it shows me how far i’ve come; and i have to thank you so much for it. back to sprinting and spending hours in the gym, back to spending time sleeping and not hearing my heartbeat vibrate throughout my entire body, back to going out and enjoying and living life instead of spending it indoors worrying when i’m going to die.

@@lukejwoolley stop smoking, start eating right, start exercising, stop drinking alcohol, stop surrounding yourself with people who don’t care about you, attend CBT and DBT therapy and actually PRACTICE what you learn in your sessions, listen to doctors and don’t try to get a second answer from dr google, and realize it’s all in your head. whenever i had symptoms i would always tell myself “guess i’ll just die then” and then keep doing whatever made my symptoms worse. was nerve wracking at first, until you realize you’re fine and nothings gonna happen LOL. i’m in the gym, heart starts pounding, “damn, guess i’ll just have a heart attack then” and continue exercising. hundreds of those palpitation events later, and a cardiologist visit and stress test later, I’m perfectly healthy, nothing ever happened, only to hear my doctor say i have one of the strongest healthiest hearts he’s ever heard.

Palpitations are scary but it won’t kill you.
Think about this, if your heart palpitations come and go and you have the ability to get up and live your life the next day, nothing serious is happening. Your body has a way of burning of excess adrenaline which feels uncomfortable. Learn to
Let it pass, you got this (I’m going through this for 2 years straight and just now I’m starting my recovery journey.) you are ok

It's gotten so bad for me that I'm scared of going to sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding and empty feeling in my chest. Then the palpitations come and go throughout the day. I went to the doctor a few days ago and had some blood work and ECG done, my BP and cholesterol was high, so the doctor gave some meds, ECG was fine other than rapid heartbeat. For the past few years I've been having a hard time, just life in general, but this year in particular has been rough with the loss of a cousin and weeks later an aunt. I'm also unemployed and been running all kinds of bad scenarios on my mind so I think all of this stuff is catching up to me. I hope I can get rid of all this and videos like this one help out a lot, thank you.

I feel for everyone here. Ive been dealing with palpitations here recently. I have a pretty long history of panic and stress disorders. They all stemmed from chronic insomnia which they also testified to stress. Its a crippling battle when your mind red flags everything. Mine is also seasonal. Going from fall to winter. Then I adjust. Then coming out of winter into spring. Its so bizarre. I dont know if its barometric or the planets alignment. Wish I was joking. Im going on 50 and have been hyper active since I was a kid. My body and mind cant deal with these things very easily anymore. Some history of drugs and alcohol. Ive tried may meds which only bring up other problems. Being a hypochondriac is scary in itself. Try to enjoy everyday and focus on the moment. Especially the good ones. Prayers to all that suffer from these issues. They are no joke. Thanks for the channel.

February this I was administered to emergency department this year I experienced e out of the blue heart palpitations 3x within 4months..after tests, on bloods ECG, thyroid etc they found nothing abnormal but low potassium levels.Aftr first episode in February this year, changed mindset to healthy alternatives, yoga every fortnight for breathing relaxation exercises, stopped drinking alcohol,no coffee, green tea.. feeling better but once that feeling comes back I use powerful positive affirmations, prayers, breathing techniques to fight it and it works.

Therapy is an amazing thing. I suffer with this and it's become a very recent thing due to the healing process taking an unfortunate break. Even as I type this message I can feel it. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is exactly what you need and do not be afraid to be picky with your therapist cause sometimes one will be far better for you than another and that's okay.
I was told recently that due to the fact that I had been making progress and getting better that my mind was creating a sort of counter weight and with that whenever I feel elated or happy I instantly get palpitations or a sort of reversal that brings my mind back down to where it feels comfortable with being sad or having a low mood where no real emotion is taking place.
It is basically a chemical imbalance where your brain is hypersensitive to certain things and I can tell you now the only way to break through it and get over your brains imbalance is to keep pushing that capacity to be happy, no matter how bad it might make you feel if you can keep pushing take it one day at a time and surround yourself in a good environment you can sort that part of your brain out and eventually after a bit of effort you'll notice how that chemical imbalance has effected you so and that it now is stable.
It will take awhile and your body and mind will fight you to the point of exhaustion, but recognise the logic behind how you are feeling, see the science of it and look past how it feels to instead question it and then continue pushing on. Cause even though it might take time each and every day you submit yourself to a correction of your minds chemicals in a scenario that is social and comfortable. I'd suggest finding a local community that you can join, cause that is another thing CBT on its own does not help without you putting what you've learned into action, if you just take the therapy and do nothing afterwards then you will continue to stay where you are and the process might just take far too long or be too taxing to the point that you stop your therapy all together.

I've struggled all my life with anxiety. I remember even sitting in junior high and feeling my pulse. I was told long ago I had a slight heart murmer, and I have always had sort of flutters off and on, sometimes a hard beat at the end, and yes, it makes me anxious. I have tried to drink decaf tea due to this, and I hate decaf tea. It tastes like nothing. So, I drink my regular tea, and yes, I get the flutters, but I am trying to reason they won't hurt me. I don't get short of breath, or dizzy, never had chest pain, it is just often when I am sitting and too focused on my body. I am 65, so I guess it's worse now due to my fears for my mortality. And I have been under a lot of stress due to money problems, and that makes everything worse.

Ive lost 3 years of my life to this. Recently i was at work, hands started going numb, getting cold. I also started feeling very dizzy, very off, confused, mental. I drove to the ER. Hell of drive that was. I thought i just had carbon monoxide poisoning because i had been working in the garage with the car running. Even though i had a fan on, and one of the doors open i still thought it was just carbon monoxide poisoning. Anyway, so im laying in a bed in the er with oxygen on. Starting to feel better. Next thing i know ive got 10 people around me, sticking things all over me, 2 IVs in my arm, and just a frantic situation. They came in and said i was having a heart attack. I started freaking out! First time in an ambulance, on my way to a bigger hospital. Next thing i knew i was laying naked on another table with a wire up my wrist and into my heart. Long story short, my heart is fine. Ive had multiple ekgs, ultrasounds, stress tests, zip patch, halter monitors, etc etc etc. Yet i still get palpitations. They suck and ive lost so much. I too gave up coffee 3 years ago. I quit drinking 12 years ago. So what in the world is going on? Im on kpin , cymbalta, and have for 2 years now. Yet still no relief. I had initial relief with Cymbalta for like a year, but now the panic is back.

I do have Health Anxieties and panic attack but have had them under control for a long time so this has kicked my Health anxieties and panic attacks off . Listening to this really helps calm me down but sometimes I fear the worst and make things worst

I also feel my heartbeat a lot of the time, but also can hear it thumping in my ears when I lay down. Dr. Berg on UA-cam says if you can hear your heartbeat when laying down, you should increase your potassium intake, which really helps. You can eat some celery, Bananas, or greens to increase potassium intake. Hope that helps.

Bro, what a good video, I got to write some comments. Your video makes me think of many chronic musculoskeletal pain patients with no severe pathology. It's really a similar mechanism as the heart palpitation. The oversensitive neurosystem grabs information (even some associations and beliefs produced ny the conscious mind, and off course the information about the real body tissue), the subconcious mind then conclude there is danger in your body(eg in the knee), then produce the protective outputs (including pain sensation at the concious level, muscle tension and other). So some believes and association also plays a part. So for chronic pain patients they really need to deassociate pain and tissue damage. A model called the protectometer really helps with the chronic pain patients, I think it also can be applied to heart palpitation populations. Great explanation, Love your contents!

my heart palpitations mostly happen after when i've been anxious about something. It feels like my breath stopped, then somthing is pressing the area between my collarbones. it happens for just a second. it makes my surroundings feel like its on slow motion. It started when i was overthinking a weird sensation while at the gym. a pinched nerve on my head. and then i started spiraling.

I was running with my wife last week. Man, I had a feeling from my heart/chest area that sent a bolt of electricity down my whole body and out my toes. It literally stopped me for a split second on my run. It was scary. I kept running and been running ever since. Hasn't happened. My Dr said to visit my cardio. My cardio said it was nothing to worry about since I had just had a full scan and heart test 6 months ago. I'm 46, cardio dr said I had the health of a 35 yr old. So, I have no idea what it was, but it was intense.

I’ve did an echocardiogram stress test, ECG and holter monitor. They all came back okay but I’m still convinced something is happening. I used to do a bunch of stuff I’m not proud of with drugs. I’ve been clean since 2017. A couple years later these heart sensations it got to the point where I couldn’t even smoke weed anymore which used to help my anxiety. Couldn’t drink caffeine and now it’s getting to the point I can’t even have nicotine anymore...I know some of these things can make anxiety worse but damn..I’m tired of giving up the things I enjoy over this. I’m convinced there is still something wrong with me or my heart that they have missed and I’m going to die over this...man I really hope it’s anxiety. What’s worse is I have social anxiety and don’t do well in doctors appointments..

Sometimes stress can cause this but most times it occurs due to a drop of blood sugar while sleeping causing an adrenaline surge. Not always but it's 1 of the causes. Your stress hormones kick in and causes that to raise your sugar. Your body is only trying to save you and keep you alive. So it's a good thing it's doing that. Glucose(sugar) & sodium (salt) taken together helps bring down the stress hormones. Maybe your eating dinner too far from sleeping or not eating protein/fat with carbs to slow down the glucose release causing a quick drop while sleeping. Have a snack before sleep with protein/fat and carb(sugar) & salt. A simple quick thing can be a spoonful of grassfed butter with raw honey and sprinkle salt. Or a real snack like nuts and cheese with a fruit. You can also drink a sip of orange juice with salt. (Redmond or celtic). Keep it by your side when you sleep and when you wake up, take a sip. Goodluck❤

We're the same, I am also covid patient back then in 2021. A lot of stress I experienced all at that time. I was isolated in a hospital, almost a week gasping for breath. I don't know if I live or to die. After I recover, I feel this anxiety frequents more and more. And then it's so chronic until these days. Living with anxiety is just living with agony and suffering. It makes me devastated, I feel that I'm tired every single minute. It makes me a lazy and deprived man. I feel all the palpitations when I do something even when resting, When driving panic attacks are frequent. I can't control my mind and the body, I feel tensions everywhere, my blood pressure elevates and so forth. So damn that my clinic laboratory results were good and fine. Lord help me🙏😢😢
