This absolutly made me cry but helped me feel better. I have SVT, the SVT has been good but I have been getting a lot of ectopics for the last 5 months. Just had another echo and 48 hr holter on everything perfect. Even after these tests the extopics still scare the shit out of me. This all started at age 9 and I have severe anxiety and panic attacks due to all of this. Thank you for your words I don't feel so alone and crazy.. I know it's my fear of having this condition like his son my phobia became my heart
@@mirandaholko6644 i feel what you say! Here the same. But did the magnesium help against the ectopics? And if no, then what do you use against it. Greetings
Heart flutters, skipped beats and “rushing” feeling can be very scary and uncomfortable. I’ve worn holter monitors 3 different times. Chest X-rays. Echocardiograms, stress test and EKG’s and my heart is fine. I’ve learned that the palpitations come when I am stressed and overthink with some level of health anxiety. But one of the major causes for me is my gut issues. When bloated or have some acid reflux this definitely causes heart palpitations. It feels like little air bubbles coming through my heart and causes fluttering. Especially when lying down and shifting around in bed. They are like heavy “thuds” I’ve learned to relax my mind and let them be when they come. I don’t resist. I will get active and move or if it’s a night in bed, I get up, put on some soothing music and do deep breathing technics and let them pass. Don’t eat past 6 or 7 and keep dinner light! Create a system for yourself to ease the palpitations and get rid of them. Release and let go. Also take some magnesium and make sure you are eating foods high in potassium.
I get skips basically the same time every night when trying to sleep, all tests are fine but not sure why it’s on a timer. I do have health anxiety pretty strong right now though
Thank you so much..I can so much relate to your experience. It's really sad and terrifying 😭. I suffer from anxiety and I feel like my stress has made this skipped heart beat worse. When I am medication skipped heart beats rarely occur but then when I am not on it ...it occurs. 😭
I have had health anxiety (hypochondria) for twelve years and frequent non complex pvcs/pacs for just as long. Four different cardiologists, numerous ER doctors, and several primary care doctors over that time all told me my heart was fine and that I didn't have to worry about the pvcs/pacs. This video was the first time someone explained it in a way that really made a difference. Thank you for the time you took to patiently and thoroughly explain it! You've given me a peace of mind I've searched more than a decade for and you can't imagine my gratitude.
One word for him, This Dr. is just genius.... Palpitations and Ectopics are worrying me from last 1 year now but the strength that I am feeling inside me after watching his videos is really impactful. Thanks Dr. Sanjay Gupta .... I am just 30, a cyclist, an athlete but palpitations were taking my life away from me but you are restoring my faith back in me and my abilities.
This man deserves an award for being so caring and empathetic. His bedside manner is beyond any Dr I have ever seen and it's via UA-cam. Hats off to you sir you are a true gentleman
Hello sir i am 21 year young boy And my heart beat is so much faster in the morning, when i wake up and it remain faster for like upto 1 hour, rest of the day i feel normal. I think their are 2 reason that make my heart beat fast.. . 1). I have a bad habbit of masterbation from like 7 to 8 year (and i have excessively done Masterbation for like 1.5 years currently) which make me feel lazy for 2/3 days after i masterbate. 2). And the second reason could be i have a bad routin of sleep and eating , like i start sleeping around 3 a.m(i always go to bad by 1:30 a.m. but can't sleep till 3a.m ) which i think coz of INSOMNIAC and wake up at 10 a.m and then eat milk at 11 a.m and have lauch at 2p.m. and then dinner at 8 p.m I m not a doctor ,so please help me by telling the reason which leads me too faster heartbeats when i wake up. Thank You🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 eagerly waiting for your Reply 😊.
I have suffered from ectopics for 2 decades. I have managed the problem in recent years with some anxiety medication and lifestyle changes but ocassionally, I get a run of brutal days with non-stop ectopics and my mind, despite months and months with no symptoms, goes right to the worst case scenario. I can tell you that in 2 decades nothing serious has ever happened (no syncope, no chest pain, no heart attack). I have had EKG, and halter and echo and nothing is wrong. It is a real symptom of a common problem that is harmless but exacerbated by health anxiety. Dr. Gupta is very reassuring. Thankyou for your reassurance !
I first noticed ectopic beats (about every 4th beat) when I was about ten years old. They went away, then appeared again in my 20's. They lasted a month, then went away, and came back again in my 30's, and then again in my 40's. Then they were gone for 8 years, and now suddenly they are back again! My doctor told me years ago my heart is fine, don't worry about it. He said if my capacity for exercise and recovery from exercise are good, then forget about the ectopics. I'm fairly athletic and have worked outside for 30 years, so I get a lot of exercise and never have any problem. Also used to work out at the gym and get my heart to max, three days a week, and no problems. Even now, in my mid-50's, I can ride my bike, climb mountains in Colorado, do hard work outside, and no problems at all. So my heart is fine as far as I can tell. No shortness of breath, or pain, or anything at all. So like you, we just need to try to ignore the ectopics and maybe they will go away again!
You are my hero. Why aren't all doctors like this? If I had gotten a little reassurance from any physician I have seen for any of my weird symptoms I wouldn't be such a hypochondriac. I want to conquer my health fear and live a normal anxiety free life!!
It's 2024 and I am just seeing this now. I have had decades of ectopic beats and finally someone comforting comes along and literally changes my life. Thank you!
Woww!! The health anxiety hit the nail on the head for me! I am so grateful I found your videos. You have no idea how much these videos help me. Thank you so much for your time.
Thank you, thank you! I am 78 and had start when I was early 50's. I know anxiety was cause. Saw a good family doc, tests, med for awhile. It went away. Had in my 60's when husband dying. It went away. Now my 10-yr-old grandson has this. You have given me this to show him. We are checking it out, but he needs comfort. He is very intelligent and sensitive like his grandfather. We are close and he told me this quietly. His mom & I talked later. He is being treated for anxiety. So many of our young ones have problems. Again, thank you for quietly giving a good explanation. Even a child can understand.
Was having them before watching this and like magic, they stopped. Thank you for teaching me all about this and the affects of fear. I feel so at ease now. Your passion for this topic, knowledge, experience, confidence , kind and comforting tone , worked. You are my internet go to doc. Thank you!
I could watch you all day. So professional yet friendly and down to earth. A friend in my head. Wish all doctors were so thorough in explaining things. 🙏 God bless
OMG!!! I love this guy, if I could get one visit with you Dr. Gupta I know in my heart my heart evaluation would be one that I could understand and live with. You are a phenomenal person and professional. You not only have extreme knowledge and wisdom as a cardiologist, but you understand people, which is very important when treating individuals. God bless you we need more caring doctor's like you. Thank you 🌺
If I get a chance to meet him, I'll kiss on back of his hands for sure, for the reason that he's the only Cardiologist who doesn't only explains things but also teaches us as if we're his students. Love to be a subscriber. Love you Sanjay sir
I spent a long time with an anxiety disorder because I had a severe phobia of not only palpitations but just my heart beating! I have a UA-cam channel discussing how to overcome this! But I am not a doctor so I can’t give out information like you have. But honestly, anxiety is such a scary thing so I could not thank you enough for your videos. You mean the world to me. ❤️❤️❤️
Okay, you have just described my problem exactly. It’s not just the ectopics anymore, whenever I notice my heart beating I just get anxious. It’s like it’s a ticking time bomb. I look at my heart like it’s the thing that can take my life away, instead of thinking it’s the one thing that is giving me my life …
I can only echo the many comments about this video. Mr Gupta, please realise what tremendous help and assurance this video is to thousands of people who, like me, suffer from fear and anxiety regarding health issues. Thank you. I actually first watched this video around 5 years ago when I first experienced ectopics and thought I was seriously ill. The tests showed that I wasn't ill and my heart is 'normal'. I've had them from time to time since and managed to dismiss them - until the last week when they returned and the anxiety of course made them worse. I couldn't find your video until today and once again it has lightened the load and lifted the great weight that I was in danger of succumbing to. Your manner is so good.
Your videos are slowly helping me overcome my fear of PVC's. I get several different ectopic beats from flutters to the missed beat and thump. My anxiety is the worst part.
Corella Landrigan I get the thumps, the long pause, the flutters, and then some that feel like my heart is like jerking. It’s hard to explain. I’m still here though!

Thank you so much for this video! I feel so alone when experiencing this as family members don’t understand how terrifying it seems at the time. I have these quite often, I see a cardiologist; he is very good and sometimes I feel like I need to call him to just put my mind at rest, your videos are so helpful and reassuring. I’ve had all the tests including a MRI a echocardiogram and a angiogram (which was normal no blockages) after being admitted to hospital with VT and my heart being weakened, after having a MRI the results showed it was luckily back to full working order with no damage and another echo test came back normal also. The docter does not know why this happened but I’d just had a bad case of the flu which may have played a part. I am now on medication as prevention beta blockers and heart meds. I experienced some palpitations after this and had for years before so after a stress test I was diagnosed with a benign arrhythmia. I am 42 and feel like my hormones have a big part to play in my heart beat, as some days I feel totally fine and other days I only need to walk up a set of stairs to set of my arrhythmia. Anxiety also has a big effect on my heart rhythm. Then there are times I just notice the eptipic beats. I feel like I’ve noticed these more since being off work due to lockdown and having more time on my hands. I also find it very helpful to read all the comments, just knowing I’m not alone is so comforting! Thank you all for sharing your experiences! ❤️🌈
You are a blessing to all of us that feel our ectopic beats. I also feel my PVC'S and PAC's, my burden is less than 1%percent burden of PVC's and PAC's on 2 week holter monitors which I've worn various times, including recently, I've had normal echocardiogram recently as well as EKG, stress echocardiogram and other tests including MRI of heart. Regardless I get bad anxiety when I feel my PVC's. I can go days and weeks with barely feeling any or none, then suddenly out of nowhere they will occur, which causes anxiety and i only feel them at rest, like when laying down in my bed or sitting, not while exercising or keeping active. Thank you for your videos. You are doing a great service to people.
One should listen to you every day of the week! You really calm one's nerves. Listening to you helps so much more than consulting doctors. Thanks for these videos
I wish I had a Dr like you in my life. You really know your stuff and also know how to talk to patients instead of scaring the sh*t out of them! Bless you!
Someone in a thread below said she was wanting to cry tears... i am so grateful for your video... i have been so fearful... i certainly can say it is an extremely emotional topic for me... so again thank you Dr Gupta. I have seen you so many times on tv over the years and you are such a wonderful & beautiful person...
Thank you so much for taking the time to comfort those of us who are terrified of ectopics. I love the story of your son and the dog and how you said that they (ectopics) have been with us for so many years and nothing bad has happened. It's so true. I used to think I was going to die every night when I went to bed because when I first lie down I always get ectopics. Now, after having them for so many years I just expect them to come when I lie down and it really doesn't scare me anymore. Now if I could just do that with the rest of my life. My ectopics are very closely associated with my anxiety and they usually spike during anxious times in my life; Then the vicious cycle starts. But you are right, they haven't killed me yet and my mother and other family members have lived with them up to old age and have been fine. I wish I could just retrain my brain to accept them - I have had my heart checked out and been told many times it is fine and not to worry about the ectopics. It's definitely my Achilles heel. Your patience and uplifting words of comfort are more helpful than you will ever know. I think of your talks often when I am at my lowest point - Thank you Dr. Gupta!
These videos from you are life changing. Cardiologist told me he doesn’t need to see me again but didn’t relieve my anxieties regarding these palpitations. Thank you! God bless you.
Everything you said in this video resonates with me. You explain all of my thoughts and symptoms. Why did it take me this long to find you. You are so knowledgeable and helpful. Very reassuring. Thank you so very much!
Thank you so much for giving up your valuable time. I am quite an elderly lady and have had periods of ectopic beats that my doctor assures me are not harmful. I will be having a 24 hour monitor in the future. Finding your site has made such a difference to my life. Thank you again.
You are an absolute Godsend. Thank you for making this video. I have been battling with ectopics lately, and this video is EXACTLY what I've been dealing with. I am so grateful for this. You have no idea how much this helps. I am shedding a tear in my cubicle at work, because I feel so much relief. This has taken a weight off my shoulders that I didn't even know I had.
Over the past ten years I have suffered on and off with bouts of ectopic beats. They terrify me. Right now due to the pandemic, and likely my anxiety level, my ectopics are out of control. Sometimes I have them for almost 24 hours straight and I can’t sleep, eat, or think straight. I have been tested and monitored again recently, and found to have no underlying conditions. Yet, these PVCs keep ruining my life. I am so glad I found this video. I hope it can help reassure me that I will be ok and I can start controlling this severe anxiety. Thank you....years after posting this...for offering me some hope.
You aren’t alone. I’m in the exact same boat. I never had them before ever. In March this year I woke up and started having them out of no where! I’ve had them everyday since and they are debilitating. Im ridden with stress and anxiety. I’m currently wearing a monitor and will wait for a diagnosis in a week.
Garret Watson good luck to you. I hope you get a favorable diagnosis and that your ectopics will calm down. They truly are terrible to live with, especially for those of us with anxiety. There is a great Facebook group also for people suffering with ectopics. There are so many of us out there.
I have them too and they are awful!!! They flare up for about 2 weeks and are constantly there. They mess me up and I’m unable to do anything. It’s so scary and makes me paralyzed and I can’t do anything. Hopefully everything is ok, I am awaiting my heart test results
Thank you so much for always taking the time to reassure and educate people like myself who suffer these dreadful ectopics. I play your videos over and over to keep reassuring myself.
You have quickly became my favourite dr to watch. I have health anxiety especially regarding my heart and you are very reassuring.Thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge. How I wish you were here in Canada !
Bless your heart Doctor! Love it 🙏🏼 After Covid I’m getting a lot of them, Holter showed 1,300 in 24 hours. Doctors said it isn’t much of a concern at the moment and and my heart is structurally fine.
No doctor in India explains like you do. I hve been in fear since last 4 years, did angiogram, ecg, echo. Everything comes normal but doctor never explains anything. I am still feeling palpitations but it's fine now. Thank you so much. Love from Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India)
if they will explain everything and tell us that palpitations are totally harmless then how will they make money because we will stop visiting them. Been having palpitations for a year and did many ECG, echo, tmt etc nothing came out but still occasionally have them. When I have them I watch this video.
One of the best, most knowledgeable doctors on youtube, with a gift of explaining things in a certain way that's easily interpreted and also extremely interesting.
I needed this today! Thank you so much. I have been struggling with anxiety and every time I have a palpitations it’s very hard for me to contain my worry/fear. Thank you again!!
You're amazing. Thank you for taking this time out of your day to make this video. It really really helps. I have seen a couple different cardiologists, they have done stress test, stress echo test, holter, overnight holter, 2 day holter, ekg, ecg, blood work, everything. They say I'm fine. But their time with me is short. It was very hard for me to grasp how I could be fine with a random plunger thudding in my chest. This video has put my mind at ease. Thank you.
Dr. Gupta has such a sensible perspective about ectopic heart beats and high blood pressure that it has a calming effect on you and it makes you think your health concerns in a more practical way.
I love this story about taking the 100 people off the street and fitting them with halters. The link to anxiety is so valuable to know about. Thank you for all that you do.
Thank you for taking the time to produce and share this video. I am very grateful to have come across them. You have helped relieve a tremendous amount of stress regarding these off-beat beats. Quite excited to know that I most likely won't be dropping off like a swatted-fly anytime soon. I'm going to rename my ectopic beats to ’heart ticklers’. Everytime I feel the tickles, i’ll use it as a reminder to breath properly and enjoy the present moment :)
Thank you for this video! It has explained a lot. I knew I had very bad health anxiety, but its so hard to realize you are exaggerating the problem yourself. This has changed the way I've looked at heart palpitations or ectopic beats. Thank you
Thank you so much Dr! I am going through exactly what you have described. Unfortunately, my stress is also creating a spike in my BP. I am just so drained. I am in the midst of all of my cardio testing, but I have been reassured MANY times that I am fine and that it is my stress causing all of my issues. I am a 37 YO Male, a bit overweight, but active. Non drinker, non smoker, no caffeine... What on Earth am I so afraid of?! This video was such a reassurance and will help me on my journey to better mental health.
I so very much appreciate your thoughtful and thorough review of these subjects. Having you distill down the info is a wonderful! Love all of your videos. Your kindness and caring come right through the screen and are palpable. Thank you. You have enlightened and calmed me.
This was great thank you etopic sufferer since 2003 my cardilogist said everything is ok Im 52 now your right... fear thanks again God bless you and your family
These videos have been the only reason I have gotten sleep this week. I’ve had the pause and thud and flutters for 4 days with at least 8-10k of these per day. Very scary feeling and Dr. Gupta is the only resource that has helped me. Thank you!!! Such a public service.
This video was beyond awesome!! You hit every point imaginable. Thank you Sanjay. Your a very good man. Thank you for all you do for people. Thank you a million times.♥️
Thank you for this video! I've had a 30-day event monitor and it all checked out fine, I was just diagnosed with having PVCs and told to exercise and avoid things that could give me heartburn. I keep coming back to this video though, because my pvcs have gotten a bit more frequent recently. Hoping they calm down soon once I calm down about them!!
Doc, THANKS! Felt like you lifted a big weight off my shoulders by describing this fear I've been having so accurately ,and the anxiety associated with it. Will get on that magnesium and try to be more relaxed. Thanks again!
Yes! He has saved my sanity and my life when I’ve had full blown panic attacks. He is an eminence in his field and his voice and knowledge are very comforting. God bless him
Thank you so much for this video, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling palpitations, got anxious, took extra anti-pressure pil and b-blocker, really terified. After watching your video everything went back to normal...
I love you so much. I have been hyperventilating just to try and watch this video and hoping that you don't say something that gives me reason to truly hyperventilate...and you truly changed the way I thought about these ectopics. I will conquer my stupid fears!!!!!!!
Absolutely fantastic and so reassuring, im 40 and have only been diagnosed with ventricular ectopics, roughly 2500 per day, i was convinced i was on deaths door despite numerous trips to the doc and emergency room with all results coming back clear, sometimes a simple explanation can do more, thanks again doc 👏
Thank you for this video. You soothe my fears. I am currently wearing a Holter monitor for a week. The cardiologist didn't even want to give it to me after my EKG was normal in the office, but I asked for it for reassurance. The ectopics make me crazy, and then the fear causes more ectopics. It's awful.
Ashley Desjardins how did that go? My doctor doesn’t really want to give me one either. Everything came back normal and he says palpitations aren’t harmful to me.
Hello everyone.. I also have ectopics for almost 10 years, i had maybe 10 echos.. 3 holters.. I had tachicardia, SVT.. But as the doctors said they are all.. benign But from some time i feel a stabbing pain in may heart with every pvc, which can happen 1 a day.. Or ten a minute Is this ok? Does anyone feel it? Do i have to consult a doctor again?
You're amazing! I cannot believe I came across this video. I have had heart flutters for a while now, also thumps and what feels like skipped beats. I seen a cardiologist and he perscribed a heart monitor I had to wear for an entire month. Yes, he seen the changes in my heart rhythm but he said they were normal and also benign. After that I also went in for a stress test. I did the treadmill test which was fun. I hoped I didn't have a coronary doing it. 😂 I passed with flying colors and could have even gone a little longer. He ruled out it was anxiety related and the pain I do get at times in my chest was skeletal related as I have bad posture. To this day I keep thinking maybe he's missed something and maybe I should go to get a second opinion. After watching this video I feel so relieved BECAUSE I notice if I anxious or I'm stressed or haven't slept good the bight prior, I get these heart issues more then if I wasn't anxious, stressed and slept well. Thank you for making this video. I'm saving it so I can refer to it to remind myself I'm ok. I will also be sharing it with a anxiety support group who's many followers auffer qith the same heart issues.
Ive seen a fewdifferent cardiologists over the years and never received the reassurance i needed when i addressed how the ectopics affected me personally. This video was more reassuring for me going forward than anything the specialists could have told me. Thankyou.
Your words make me cry. So reassuring. Have been struggling with PVCs since the past one year. Family members think m imaging things. But episodes keep coming and I get so scared.
Thank you so much for giving us great advice, once more. I appreciate you taking the time to educate us on such an important subject, the heart. We need more cadiologists like you in this country, USA.
Hi Sanjay I would just like to thank you for doing these videos. I can just imagine how many peoples minds you have given peace too. In my case I get the missed beats or a pause every minute or so , I know I’m a person who makes life hard for myself as I’m a Perfectionist in everything I try to do in life, it’s just the way I am but it takes it’s toll with stress I create for myself . It’s a hard task to try to ignore the pause of my heartbeat especially when my head is on my pillow at night. Listening to your explanations of the different heartbeats and what they are has given me relief from the worry of my particular issue. Keep up your good work. Thank you.
This has helped me so much. My cardiologist scared the hell out of me last week before taking any blood or doing an echo and I've been feeling horrible and constantly feeling palpitations since then.
I'm so glad I found this doctor's channel. I've been struggling with PVCs since 2018, when I had stress-induced tachycardia one afternoon at my stressful job at the time. In 2020 my heart went into a sudden gallop after bending over one evening and I thought something terrible was wrong and called the ambulance. I got fully checked out at the hospital with lots of tests and had a monitor two different times and they found nothing specifically wrong other than just the PVCs. I'm still getting them 5 years later, I tend to have them a few to maybe 10 times a day. There are no obvious triggers or reasons why they are brought on, and I'm frustrated and scared a lot. Some days I hardly have any and other days a lot.
I lost an entire night of sleep last night because of ectopics. everytime i was about to sleep, bang. i sat upright listening to the snores of other family members :( and this after a whole week of reducing my anxiety around them.
@@louiseprice7755 30 years no way… I been living with it for couple months I can’t take it anymore they lead to panic attacks and every time the hospital says sinus tachycardia that’s im fine.
Dr you are the best move here in my island curaçao love to have a doctor lije you here you made me feel so good doctor today I came back so depressed with diagnosis of ventricular topics frequent ones ….i think God made me open this video and I was glued to it …read all the comments feel so light and happy there are doctors lije you who care love you god bless you with his divine and dazzling blessings ❤️🙏
For many years I have had crippling anxiety about these benign eptopics! They come they go and menopause has really bought them back . HRT has helped a lot but the anxiety is the worst culprit .and you are so right in what you say . It’s an absolute delight to hear it and every time I have a moment , I listen to you . Three weeks ago , I had two ecgs where the eptopics were having a party !, bloods done , X-ray the works . And nothing wrong . So I think it’s time to get the brain looked at for telling me otherwise !!😂 Amazing work Doctor . Thankyou .
I have to tell you just how much this episode helped me. I have been having heart palpitations the last few weeks and I have a better understanding of why. I have suffered the loss of 3 loved ones in the past year and have always been diligent in my own health, which since these losses has turned into fear and anxiety, of my health, of my family's health and fear of losing more loved ones, it just skyrocketed. I practice yoga everyday, do breathing exercises but they weren't helping, understanding the root of my fear did it, thanks to you. People don't realize that what they think and their emotions affect their physical symptoms and health, thank you so much for explaining this the way you did. I also want to mention that sound baths targeted to heart beat rhythms were a huge help. I was wondering what you thoughts are about them, thanks again.
Spot on! I was doing some harder workouts than I was use to and had a couple small pvcs I'm healthy I've been checked but once I started getting them I started obsessing over them and worrying over them that I kept having them and a bit more frequently all because of the fear of them.
Just want to say one more thing dr. you are fantastic you have made a huge difference in peoples lives wish every doctor could be as amazing as yourself . seen all the comments you are are fab
iv had ecg and 24 hour bolted monitor I was told it was harmless ectopic but my panic and anxiety didn't want to believe this until I had counselling for my health anxiety and I totally forgot about my heart concerns and felt fine again iv just recently started having anxiety again and my ectopic are back this doctor helps alot with reassurance and is very clever man big thanks
Cloie Leyland so relatable. My exact same fears I vlog about. Despite numerous clearance I have times where I am great and other times where I am panicking daily.
Dr Gupta, I can’t thank you enough for all the wonderful videos you are sharing with us. You are truly amazing! I’m going through a difficult time with anxiety right now because of the palpitations. I’ve had all the test and I’m fine. I’ve been able to work through the anxiety in the past but not now. Your videos have helped me so much to truly understand what’s happening. I know my reflux is not helping. Thank you again and you are such blessing!!!
I’ve been wondering what was going on for a week now, my physical health is very good, I eat healthy and have a resting heartbeat of 56 which is good for a 16 year old. This video has really helped me get over those terrifying sleepless night where I was hoping to feel another heart beat, it goes on for ages and is really uncomfortable. Think I’m gonna stop drinking so much tea
Thank you so much! I've dealt with these for years and been to the ER several times because of them. They have just recently started up again over the last few days, after about a year with none; you have significantly put my mind at ease.
I dont think this guy knows how unbelievably comforting he is. God bless you sir.
Amen brother
Yes! When I feel fearful of the ectopics I come to his videos to calm down.
Like samt. Wie velvet....
He is a blessing to the human race. I wish more Doctors would be more like him.
It’s because he really cares,
this made me cry. You have become a great friend and you literally are changing lives. This was so needed today .
Kendra Diane Parra i second that
Magnesium has saved me!!! Also I cut out sugar and Caffeine
Me too ....
They are like heavy “thuds”
I’ve learned to relax my mind and let them be when they come.
I could have written this! Describes my palpitations exactly and they are so much worse when my stomach is not right...
Excellent advice.
Do anyone feel like something is stuck in your throat before getting skipped heartbeats?
Health anxiety is in a league of its own and it takes a doctor like this to change the minds of those plagued by it. Well done.
Spot on!
Ms. Mars love it
Ms. Mars you sound just like me!
Hypochondriac here as well and my experience is the same as yours.
Same here

I needed that talk so badly. Currently having 7 ectopics thuds a minute and so frightened . This has reassured me .❤

I just experienced a bad run of ectopic 2 days in a row 😢
One word for him, This Dr. is just genius.... Palpitations and Ectopics are worrying me from last 1 year now but the strength that I am feeling inside me after watching his videos is really impactful. Thanks Dr. Sanjay Gupta .... I am just 30, a cyclist, an athlete but palpitations were taking my life away from me but you are restoring my faith back in me and my abilities.
This man deserves an award for being so caring and empathetic. His bedside manner is beyond any Dr I have ever seen and it's via UA-cam. Hats off to you sir you are a true gentleman

Hello sir i am 21 year young boy
And my heart beat is so much faster in the morning, when i wake up and it remain faster for like upto 1 hour, rest of the day i feel normal.
I think their are 2 reason that make my heart beat fast.. .
1). I have a bad habbit of masterbation from like 7 to 8 year (and i have excessively done Masterbation for like 1.5 years currently) which make me feel lazy for 2/3 days after i masterbate.
2). And the second reason could be i have a bad routin of sleep and eating , like i start sleeping around 3 a.m(i always go to bad by 1:30 a.m. but can't sleep till 3a.m ) which i think coz of INSOMNIAC and wake up at 10 a.m and then eat milk at 11 a.m and have lauch at 2p.m. and then dinner at 8 p.m
I m not a doctor ,so please help me by telling the reason which leads me too faster heartbeats when i wake up.
R u still experiencing the ectopics??? Plz rply.... How to deal with it
This is by all means, the definition of what a doctor should be. In his case I would write DOCTOR with uppercase. What an amazing advice this was!

Thank you!
Exactly what you said, I’ve had ectopics since I was 19 and I’m 41 now, never heard anyone explain it like this

You are literally the best cardiologist ever. The way you are explaining this, makes a huge difference
Was having them before watching this and like magic, they stopped. Thank you for teaching me all about this and the affects of fear. I feel so at ease now. Your passion for this topic, knowledge, experience, confidence , kind and comforting tone , worked. You are my internet go to doc. Thank you!
Excellent. You are not only a professional, but a great friend in those dark, lonely early hours.... Blessings!
I follow your channel. And have mailed you
Okay, you have just described my problem exactly. It’s not just the ectopics anymore, whenever I notice my heart beating I just get anxious. It’s like it’s a ticking time bomb. I look at my heart like it’s the thing that can take my life away, instead of thinking it’s the one thing that is giving me my life …
@@emmaspiessens9353 same here does it make you get full blown panic attacks too?

Thank you for sharing your experience as well!
Love this! As someone who has struggled with these for 20+ years this hits home!
Thank you for this! I have a lot of fears around my rapid heartbeat. You have opened my eyese to so many things! Next stop, exercise!
Gupta!
How are you now / what has worked for you?
These videos from you are life changing. Cardiologist told me he doesn’t need to see me again but didn’t relieve my anxieties regarding these palpitations. Thank you! God bless you.
Everything you said in this video resonates with me. You explain all of my thoughts and symptoms. Why did it take me this long to find you. You are so knowledgeable and helpful. Very reassuring. Thank you so very much!
This guy has given me more peace of mind than my own doctor , crying right now as it’s released some stress
Beautiful video that I ALWAYS come back to. Dr. Sanjay, you know how special you are for doing this for us ectopic sufferers.
You are a blessing and appreciated! You've improved the quality of life for many, thank you very much!

Thank you.
Dr. Gupta has such a sensible perspective about ectopic heart
beats and high blood pressure that it has a calming effect on you and it makes you think your health concerns in a more practical way.

Thank you for this video. You soothe my fears. I am currently wearing a Holter monitor for a week. The cardiologist didn't even want to give it to me after my EKG was normal in the office, but I asked for it for reassurance. The ectopics make me crazy, and then the fear causes more ectopics. It's awful.

Hello everyone.. I also have ectopics for almost 10 years, i had maybe 10 echos.. 3 holters.. I had tachicardia, SVT.. But as the doctors said they are all.. benign
But from some time i feel a stabbing pain in may heart with every pvc, which can happen 1 a day.. Or ten a minute
Is this ok?
Thankyou.

In my case I get the missed beats or a pause every minute or so , I know I’m a person who makes life hard for myself as I’m a
Perfectionist in everything I try to do in life, it’s just the way I am but it takes it’s toll with stress I create for myself .
It’s a hard task to try to ignore the pause of my heartbeat especially when my head is on my pillow at night.
Listening to your explanations of the different heartbeats and what they are has given me relief from the worry
of my particular issue.
Try a teaspoon of Benadryl and see if that helps.

So I think it’s time to get the brain looked at for telling me otherwise !!😂
Amazing work Doctor . Thankyou .
Yes I get these along with fast heart rate up and down. I believe it’s all anxiety.
Here’s the understatement of the year: This guy is amazing!
Thank You Doctor! You are a Magician.
Million Dollar Explanation!
Thank You, Hope you have a long and healthy life.
Wish I could see you 😕 I need a good cardiologist I trust , coz the one I've got ! I don't
THANK YOU!!! You will never know how much you are appreciated Dr.🙏🏼
Spot on! I was doing some harder workouts than I was use to and had a couple small pvcs I'm healthy I've been checked but once I started getting them I started obsessing over them and worrying over them that I kept having them and a bit more frequently all because of the fear of them.

Your videos have helped me so much to truly
understand what’s happening.
How r u now
Thank you so much! I've dealt with these for years and been to the ER several times because of them. They have just recently started up again over the last few days, after about a year with none; you have significantly put my mind at ease.
