A recap to help remember. May God help all of us. U ll be fine my friends.
1-aknowledge through mindful awareness. Don't feel like u wanna get rid of them. Instead, use compassion
2.feel your symptoms. Be present. Use Surrender sessions.
    3. Begin to understand them better. What's below these symptoms. What keeps them alive?
    4. Disconnect symptoms from physical danger. You have a hypersensitive nervous system.
    5. Make peace with all of your symptoms. Stay neutral.

My anxiety had manifested into severe depression. I feel symptoms and am convinced they haven't yet found what i have. I've lost a lost of weight and have no appetite but after 5 ER visits they tell me everything is normal. I don't know how much more i can take. I've racked up medical bills and in not working because I always feel sick.

Hypochondriac. I had this too. The way I battled this is I stopped listening to my anxiety. For example when I was at work I'd start feeling like I'm gonna pass out and I must go to the toilet. I do the opposite. I stay and keep working. Doing this showed me it's all anxiety and its completely harmless

An important message for me from this video today is the need to disconnected my symptoms from physical danger, in particular the fatigue symptom. To acknowledge that they come from a hypersensitive nervous system rather than anxiety is a revelation. Thank you yet again.

My hypersensitive nervous system still gets overstimulated here and there and I’m patiently waiting for it to catch up to my mind. I keep conveying safety to my body on a day to day basis. In the moments I am not feeling anything I am good-but the symptoms upset me so much that rather than stop and think - my need to control causes me to react. It’s an awful affliction. I would be a happier person if not for that!

When I was getting bad palpitations, I took every heart test to find out that nothing physical is wrong...thank God. Since that moment last month if I feel a flutter, I try to zero in on what I'm thinking about. If I'm alone I'll ask myself out loud, "Ok what are you stressing about?" Even if I don't pinpoint it, I remind myself that I'm safe and I'm not going to die from the symptom. It's working...so far so good. I'm also engaged in equine therapy...it's tremendous! I'm very happy I found this channel. Thank you Dennis.❤

Hello! I want to thank you for teaching us how to deal with our sysmtoms of anxiety and helping us not to feel alone with this. I started feeling very anxious three weeks ago, I had practically no sleep and I was so anxious about going back to my first day to school, I wasn't listening to my body. I regret that day since because I feel like I've triggered consistent fear of feeling nausea or sickness. Eatting has been difficult as well. I didn't realzie at first but now I'm realizing I'm experiencing anxiety, it's gotton better, not as intense. I've had the feeling of a lump in my throat, extreamly sensitive (easily gag reflex wheb brushing teeth or eating which I've been working on with meditation and learning about anxiousness), odd temperatures, tingling and more. I really dislike when I wake up and the symptoms came back. I've learnt from you and myself that I've made a belief system and when I do such actions with those belifs, I attract negative awareness.
I'm still trying to help myself but watching your videos are definitely a help.

Thank you as always, Dennis. 😊 For me it seems to be an ongoing pattern and beliefs system, feeling fatigue, mental obsessive symptoms, hyperfocus on my body, and yes, still especially my breathing. I am fully trying to surrender and trust that my body will breathe for me even if my chest, stomach or throat gets tight. Hyperawareness, hyperarousal as you probably remember in my case seems to be ongoing. My living environment isn't very healthy for me mentally and it affects me physically. Again it's that chronic fatigue creating that no or low willpower and keeps me inwards, preoccupation with automatic bodily symptoms. Dennis, i am really trying to let go and simply trust. 👏

Not if you are living with Menopause. I thought life with anxiety and panic was hell when I was younger, but now, my God. Anyone who is a real woman with health anxiety and not near Menopause, be prepared for a hell no one talks about, prepares us for and a medical world that is male dominated. A friend who was the healthiest woman I knew after Menopause mow is virtually crippled by joint pain and the almost 90 symptoms including anxiety she never experienced before. At least she knows how I feel now.

I’ve suffered with anxiety for about 20 years now on and off(although when I say off it’s kinda always lurking)
When it’s chronic the worst symptom is a kind of sleep apnea that is hell itself, unfortunately I’m kinda always anticipating the next episode that adds fear to upcoming events like holiday or even a night out..what am I going to do if it happens now is debilitating in itself sometimes, theses episodes are always joined at the hip with health anxiety (brain tumour or other cancers, MS ALS fear of seizures fainting)

My physical anxiety symptom is a tenseness I feel in my chest
It comes in waves but usually does everyday
I went to the doctor and got my heart checked out and everything’s normal
I have hours where I don’t feel this tenseness in my chest at all
But sometimes it gets bad n I get fearful - cardiophobia I believe
All coming from a fear of dying which I’m also talking to my therapist about haha
Anyway I will definitely be incorporating the compassion towards it that you mentioned in this video
    Thank you so much
One question though - when we are going through a tough time mentally, for me it’s this period - how do we CONVINCE ourselves that we aren’t going to be like this for the rest of our lives? I find that hard to do and get disillusioned

I think maybe we shouldn’t try to convince ourselves of anything. When we seek certainty like that we are feeding into the health anxiety/OCD. Rather it’s sitting with the uncertainty without trying to solve it at all - and even trying to radically accept our feared worst case scenario - that gives us the best chance at real recovery over time.

When i sense the nausea feelings start, my body panics, i go into a fight or flight response where my brain shuts down and i lose my sense of time place, memory everything. I know the disorientated states started because when i had nausea when i was younger, people around me would freak out, i myself was used to it but when id see peoplegettingso worried about me, i would also start to believe that oh maybe there really is something wrong with me. Seeing people get worried about me as a kid traumatised me so much that as i got older, whenever i got the before feeling of nausea start, my brain would send a signal to my body and senses to just shut down, my mind didnt want to remember seeing people around me freak out so it would force out the memory of every incident. Dennis, your videos and podcasts are the best medication for my anxiety. I still struggle with symptoms moving from one place to another in the body. What are some skill sets to overcome gut health linked with anxiety?
