Derek you are a class act for helping out Brent at Halfass Customs, the world needs more people like you and your family!
35:39 the AC in ACDelco stands for Albert Champion.. of Champion spark plugs.
Реально балдёж 👍🙂
This has been what I’ve been saying for a while, all these cats and kittens should be working together, and fluff this style of UA-cam up, for my it’s always about the frustratingly fun about working with kinda-junk!
@@EricErnst If you listen, Derek actually says Albert Champion.
@@ChristopherBix he's talking about the champion plugs that are in the car. Not the ACDelcos that he's replacing them with. Both companies are directly tied to Albert.
"If ya squint it's mint" Had a good chuckle over that one. But I was already on the floor laughing from your woodworking skills.
Its only crazy if it doesnt work😂
@@royfrye2871its still crazy even if it works , but just because its crazy doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing
@@jojomorgan8556 right!👍
Thanks for running yourself into the ground for our entertainment. You and your family are awesome. I hope to see the boys get into drag and drive type events as they reach driving age.
You are so kind
AGREED!
The amount of love I have for this channel is unreal, I’m 18 been wrenching since I was 14 I learn more and more and more from Derek especially with these old rigs. Every video I always learn something new, and it’s not to see someone relate to the things mechanics go through or just any grease monkey that tinkers in the back yard. Never letting this channel go,make a pass through Texas sometime brother 💪🏼
Saw the toolbox you sent Halfass Kustoms . Very nice. Nothing but respect for you bro!!!
Much appreciated
I am so happy for what you did for Brent @halfass customs, what a stand up guy... this is why I support you.....
A lot of other youtubers have helped him out too.
@@michaelhoward7652, he called up Princess Auto and bought a very nice roll around tool box for him and Brent picked it up.
As a feller and creator myself, it seems people want quick, fast-paced videos that are direct and on point! If that's the case, why do I get bummed when I see a sub 60min video from VGG!?! You are an anomaly Derek keep on keeping on and keep inspiring!!!
Derek what you did for Brent was just so great. This old WVA man have nothing but respect for you and your beautiful family my friend ❤
My friend that I've told to watch this channel 100x used the old clicky-clacky and tank in the passenger floorboard to get a 1978 Chevy camper to his house. You help people that have never even watched! Thanks Derek!
It's Friday night, cold snacks and a burrito, the end of the work week. This must mean the newest video from Derek at VGG....
On the hole saw, use a flat bladed screwdriver and poke it in the side hole in the hole saw and lever it down. Works every time and you don’t have to take the bit apart to do it.
As a former cabinet maker, this is the easiest way I've found to😂
Derek, i have been a carpenter for over 40 years and I learned something today. Got to get one of those death wheel things.
Awesome!
Have a great weekend Derek and everyone in VGG land.
Right back!!!
Derek, your the epitomy of 'forward... never straight', which is the story of my life as well. Thanks for all the humor mixed with tips!!!
The 2 foot zip tie for 'lightning protection' was certainly a highlight. Thank you for continuing to be authentic, Derek. Am I the only one that saw this video was less than an hour and was somehow disappointed? Love the videos; good luck on Power Tour!
I would use a hole saw and then some hose to extent the gas tank spout Derek @Vice Grip Garage
Over the years of watching, the less sleep you get the funnier the videos are. Very entertaining as usual. I love that you will be doing back roads on Power Tour. It is a bucket list road trip I want to do for sure.
his jokes are getting old they never change
@@steveholland1163 timeless humour in my humble opinion. But you be you baby. 👍
@@steveholland1163 I cannot disagree with you more. Still funny…
Реально делает вещи 👍
@@steveholland1163there are other channels. Just saying
Man a feller was early on this one
That’s what I was just thinking, never happens anymore it seems, Good to See You Here Sir
Well I'll be dipped
Hats off to Derek for being able to give away Ole DW like that because that would be one that would be in my collection for sure
Always remember, caulk and paint make a carpenter what he ain't.😮
Cool build! It’s crazy to see common cars from my youth become classics. I guess that makes this fellar old!
Got this video playing while panic working on my Power Tour rig 😂😂
Derek and family I received my hat. Best fitting hat I've ever had. I love it.
I may be in the minority here, and I'm glad you get the opportunity to be in Roadworthy Rescues and the benefits it provides to you and your family, but where you really shine and do best is your own plans, your own filming, and your own editing and polishing. It's first rate and always has been to the good old American common man. Anyway, just my $0.02. Have fun cruising, hot dog burning, and car-lookin' with the family, brother.
The first car I bought my wife was an 84 Regal, seeing y’all drive around in town with the inside view, sure brought back some memories
Oh and to get the wood out of the hole saw, you would buy better hole saws that have cutout in the sides to push the wood out. And to cut it I would use a jig saw or a oscillating saw. But your method definitely worked! Lol
Great editing at 9:35. "That horn button is driving me nuts." Walks off screen to the right and immediately reenters from the left. Sweet.
New steering wheel looks great. I’m just glad a guy didn’t killed by that fangled air bag!!! Lol I would love this car.
I would be grinin' ear to ear if I could watch you and Jimmy working on a project together.
Have fun Dude! Just love your channel and humor!
You and yours are some of the best out there, Derek. Appreciate you.
Derek, I really enjoy watching your show. The way you make it entertaining, educational, and family friendly is extremely refreshing these days. As for my choice on the Mountain Dew Regal, being a 6' 4" 260 pound sasquatch myself, I'm going to want new removable steering wheel on there when I drive the car back to Tennessee after I win the give away! This is my first ever bleep blooper. Keep up the great work.

Above message is BS.
Looking forward to seeing that dually from RR that Dave Chappelle helped you with.
"If you squint, it's mint." That needs to be a t-shirt.
Do it Carl ! I will buy one - Cool
Hey Derek - I am sure you know your UPS guy ! Cool .. retired UPS package car mechanic -
Enjoy your videos , Good man - be cool . Florida -
Eye glasses Derek ! Eye balls …. Very important to helping your family - Come to do it -
Wear em , They actually have some good ones that Ya Know , work & Look ok !
You have a good & fun shop ! Well done sir -
Like the way you close that ole Chevy truck hood ! Even that says a lot - Good man . See y’all
Bloody beautiful video Derek. Thank you so much for the fantastic videos you manage to give us. You and Jessica are a perfect match for each other and its so cool to see she loves the mountain dew car so much, and yes, its sounds awesome with that new exhaust. I'm from New Zealand and I just love your videos, can't get enough of them. Cheers for everything.
Thank you for working on cars on this working on cars channel! A lot of others a taking a break from that for whatever reason! Although i love all you guys, thats why i tune in, and of course you never disappoint! Well done sir, and good luck on the power tour.
Derrick and Jessica, my special thanks for helping out Brent from half ass customs. He and you are both true mechanics with great visions for builds. Thank you both again
I would love to see you put in new floor boards and fix the fenders on longmire at somepoint, but definitely keep the patina. That's one cool rig! 😊
Neat to hear you mention Jimmy Diresta. I love his channel and the awesome craftsmanship he shows.
This feller's headed in to work his convenience store job and sure appreciates the encouragement to get all the usual tasks done with self motivation and no corners left in tact. My membership dollars still working the dream in TN, keep it up Derek!
A guy must be busy bc it was a late upload but he always comes through. Derek you are awesome.
Friday night VGG....YES!!!!
Hi Derek & Jessica ..... Got home from work early Saturday mourning , tuned into VGG and great way to relax and un-wined with you guys !! Thanx as always 😊❤
"If you squint it's mint" new catch phrase in the making. That's what I need to tell folks about my woodworking skills 😂😂 I tell my guys at work I can make it work if you can make it pretty
Use a flush mount / hull mount filler from a boat store and run an appropriate sized fuel rated hose from that over the existing fuel tube. You will have to lose the cap on the tank, but only one hole.
Im so excited for you guys Derek , I can’t wait for the uploads . I wish you safe travels and have a FANTASTIC time . Cheers 🇨🇦
Was great meeting you today, appreciate your dedication, was a hot day. Thanks for the autograph!
Too funny, I love your carpentry skills 😂😂 and just have to say I'm really looking forward to you guys taking us along on this venture and I really appreciate you taking the time to share these different events that we would never get a chance to participate otherwise.
Thanks for what you and your family do Derek. Always excited to see that VGG has a new video!
Just wanted to thank you for another awesome episode Derek. God bless you and your family 🙏🙏
The wood stuck in the hole saw bit, I use a wood screw with another drill and it pushes itself out as you screw it in. Hope y’all are having fun on the power tour
We'll be looking forward To any power tour updates. I hope you enjoy your vacation and everything goes wonderful for you in the family.
Almost thought we weren't going to get a video tonight, wow that was a close one. Just watched the one before this one as a refresher. Thanks Derek.
We all know you'll make it Derek, your one of the hardest workin fellars out there! Look forward to seeing the footage of pwr tour! Be safe and hope u all have a blast!!!❤❤
We appreciate you, and your family! Keep up the great work!
I am giggling , use the center drill to push the wood out of the hole saw…
You are the King. Love it
Just changed and intake and carb for the first time today on an ole’ chevy 350. Thanks for all the inspiration VGG fam. You guys are awesome and have helped me out a ton in my fledgling automotive journey!
We all started knowing nothing. Keep at it. They’re a lot simpler than they first appear
Right on keep it up dont get discouraged and give up, and the most important thing is dont be affraid to ask for help. If its a buddy grandpa dad neighbor or who ever they all started where you are and learned as they went. And remember youtube is an awsome resource. Just make sure you watch a couole videos so you knkw your getting the right info lol
Great work , what kind of project do you have ? Working on a car or truck is very rewarding and great hobby . Cheers 🇨🇦
One step at a time. Don’t overwhelm yourself by doing too much at once. I learned that the hard way and ended up junking a project because I tried too much at one time. Always do research before you start a project. As someone stated, watch a couple of UA-cam videos to know what you’ll be up against and maybe some things to avoid. Good luck
@@bigragu6828 I agree 💯.
God bless you Derek, needed this tonight.
Thanks for watching
Dude you are the best. Entertaining and wholesome. You have such an amazing family. A true role model.
Thanks for the opportunity on winning the MD Regal! I got me quite a few tickets, good luck to all
Looking forward to seeing you guys on the Tour. Be careful. Stay safe.
I've been watching this channel since it started and I look forward to every new video!! Great job Derrick keep up the awesome work buddy!!!
I like the new steering wheel Derek looks Sharp @Vice Grip Garage
Derek, it's Ryan... I feel like you made the right choice with the steering wheel. I think you know the best thing to grab when things get exciting!
Hey Derek. Thanks for the new video. Can't wait for the power tour videos. Best to the family
You are so cool bro...all the best you and your family..cheers
Look forward to seeing you again this year. And no matter where the tour is this year we will be fairly close to home. This is the best route ever for us
Derek, to get wood out of a hole saw, sink a drywall screw into the wood inside the hole saw, when the screw bottoms out it will pull the wood up and out of the whole saw.
Just what a feller needs a video from my favorite UA-cam! thank you so much for all you do!......... I can't wait till that Mountain Dew car is in my driveway!
I would've used an old school flush mount setup off a boat in this situation...hose on the tank to the pop up and it would be rad
Lovin' the upgrades on Longmire! Also the tribute car! Brings back some awesome memories of vehicles I have owned and adventured in.
I'm your huckleberry for a volunteer driver! Been around classics for 40 years! I have respect for them and thier owners.
Hey Derick , Dew car is looking absolutely awesome. Thanks for all you and your family do. God bless
Jeff from Apache Junction Arizona
Time to get the fix in on vice grip!
Loved the wood floor work. I painted houses my whole life and over the years when it comes to wood working. It can't be wrong if it works. Good job bud
Hi Derek nice video the car and truck sound good 👍 good workmanship and hi Jessica 👋 😊!!!! Can't wait to see more videos !!!!
well I'll be dipped in Mt Dew
As a woodworking guy, I can say you're doing just fine. Woodworking is a lot like mechanical stuff, just gotta use the tools you've got to get the results you want, and a death wheel is just a more dangerous circular saw in the end (Though the jigsaw would have been easier, you're right)
Yeah, a jigsaw is an underrated tool. It's quite useful.
Woodworker here. Mark the outlines, drill the corners and saber saw that wood out. Easy as cake. Piece of pie.
Absolutely awesome, thanks for burning the midnight oil trying to get things ready for Power Tour! I hope it all worked out!
Can't wait to see you guys on a power tour 🎉
Was just checking to see if you uploaded and then the notification came. Perfect
My wife and I absolutely adore what you guys do, and will be hopping over to the shop to buy a couple shirts off yall asap.
you made this woodworker proud 😁
Dew car is super cool, gonna be a nice win for whatever feller/fellette wins it.
I couldn't help but think that maybe the fuel door placement (on Longmire) might be a problem being centered over the filler neck since it's a bit low, and to angle in the pump nozzle/handle in enough could be tricky, hopefully it works out.
I’m thinking carry a funnel or bit of hose to help it drink up the fuel.
@@Autoauctionrehabs Fair point, though I'm not sure that will work with the click-clacky latch on the handle though.
One of these days I’ll be able to go on power tour
Derek! This was fun to watch as Usual! Can't wait for the Power Tour.😊👍
Jig saw! Love the can do attitude! Bob Vila!lol,😂
Derick and fam, once again you lighten my day ( heck my week ) with you doing what you all do. I wish I could try to win the awesome car, but just not able to, maybe next time.
I hope I can meet you before I am not around anymore, but I feel like I know you already.
Take care of you all , and be safe.
I think you might just have to get another g-body for Jessica. Have a good, safe time on power tour. I hope to make it someday. I am looking forward to the footage of the rigs, back roads, and towns. Also enjoy yourselves, you all work so hard for the channel.
Another great video Derek good job, safe travels and a fun time with you and the fam on power tour. Looking forward to seeing the videos for that. Also Gods peace and blessings to you all.
living the life man, keep up the good work always keeping me motivated to do what you do
Awesome video! 👌 Thank you for sharing! Can hardly wait to see the Power Tour!!
Thanks!
Very kind of you guys helping out Halfass Kustoms!
From one of your greatest fans.... so long as y'all continue to do what you do and do it the way you do it .... I'll be a dedicated viewer. That's a promise from Northwest Louisiana. 😇
I had the best surprise for my 50 th birthday my beautiful lady surprised me by getting a vice grip garage shirt it was fantastic not expect here in New Zealand thanks for entertaining us all
Man I want that Buick!!!! My great grandparents had a Regal the same year and that interior brings back some of my very first memories as a kid. Awesome!
Absolutely a stand up guy for helping half ass customs out, thank you for being a stand up human
as always you do amazing work. Enjoy the Power Tour. back roads are always the best way to see America.
