He finally added a sound effect to bleep bloop, that’s awesome😂
I thought maybe a spicy word came zinging out Lol

It startled me a bit, for second I thought I'd leant on the landline handset I haven't had for two decades.

“It absolutely gets down and …eats the onions” this guy is too much. Great talent, great entertainment.
Parents had one growing.. bout 7 years old, almost died in that car.. yeah know the headers and the straight pipes were just a bit much, caught the floor carpet on fire and she just went up fast.. lol.. then several years later. 73 Cuda were plopping down the road, my door flies open, whilst making a turn.. glad I was a little kid and decided to wear a shirt that day.. dad grabbed my the shirt and yanked me back in.. God I miss the good old days. Riding truck beds. Going for crop checks at 10 driving the old chevy down miles of back roads, while the drinkers side was being used.. be great to go back to them times.
The new *bleep bloop* sound effect really catches a guy off guard
I had headphones on, I was looking around Incase it was an alarm or something
Checked my phone...
Glad I wasn't the only one 😂
Sounded like a power probe
Lmfao the bleep bloop caught a guy off guard guy! Feller one hella funny guy!
"Don't want to get the hands dirty", cause it's taco night" A guys got to appreciate that.
It's just common courtesy.
Everything considered: pedal wear, interior condition etc…my money says that’s a 60-70,000 mile car. You scored big time….nice!
I wonder why it was parked, that transmission vacuum hose causing bad shifts?
I agree, back in the day older people got nervous about keeping vehicles more that 50 60 thousand miles. My dad didn’t keep anything over 50000 🤷🏻♂️
THAT IS A 61 THOUSAND MILE CAR!!!! WOW!!!! I'm 60 yo redneck and I can say "I'VE OWEND A FEW IN MY LIFE!" and that is a "61,000 mile car"! Good find! They float and they are easy to sink! But them SOB's sure can take a like! One of the best derby cars you can be in! They can look BADASS if done right! You don't see them anymore?
The smoke....slowly wafting into the back window................priceless!!
Love that !. Good ol dYs
Did you ever do a burnout on your mainstreet, using an Olds 98/skirts? It keeps the smoke under control. I did one behind a Camaro, across the street from a city cop!! 🤭🤭🤭 Guess who got 🤪 from the 👮
That was awesome
and he is just talking away . good stuff.
A fella loves hearing an engine scream down the street as opposed to a loud exhaust system.
I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE
You might be looking at the wrong cars there then go check them electric boys out
I enjoy hearing the air growling into the carb sound more than the exhaust sound, too.
Yep; we got a Charger (V6, I think...) in the neighborhood which sounds like it's got a trombone for an exhaust!
Lol yeah .. some would rather hear a fat boy fart .. than hear a pretty girl sing !
@@CoIoneIPanic Oh like my 98 Civic DX with my $95 SS Ricer Muffler that's loud enough with the silencer in? Pull off the silencer and of course, the noise probably adds like another 35hp to a 105hp engine until the cops pull you over for a loud muffler! My 07 Si(turbo with 197hp) does circles around my 98 Civic DX, and my 95 Dodge Cummins 500+hp diesel does circles around my SI (never tested, but Probably 14 sec 1/4 mile?). Without a boosted launch it will do about 70-75 mph in 3/10 mile, 1/2-3/4 throttle! Probably the fastest Cummins in my county! About 0-70 in 6-7 seconds!
My favorite part of all these restoration videos is when you describe the smell! Burnt pop tarts and sunflower seeds 😅😅. I can image the smell every time!
When I was a wee lad my uncle had a green 74 with white interior, it had the aroma of 153 green Xmas trees and a spilled bottle of Brut by Faberge. Good times
That supercharger has been mounted more times than Hugh Hefner

I think once a fan shroud gets that long, it's technically called a wind tunnel.
Lmao
Funny
Hahahaha! That's a Monte.
With a hood that long, you could almost fit a second engine in there.. I guess they thought "it looks a bit empty.. just lengthen the shroud.."

I had a '74 and loved it. Ground up customize a car, it would be this one. I'd go old school with a lifted rear-ended and large rear tires.
A nice shift kit and do a little drilling on the fluid port’s. Lizzie would be a nice name. But there’s better I’m sure. Thanks buddy for the great videos.
My guess is that it went something like this.
“Well junior, good news and bad news. Bad news is that your grandma keeled over. Good news is that you get to have that super clean Monte Carlo of hers. Now don’t you go doin nothing stupid to it."
It has the teenage touch, the easy custom changes, paint wheels tires battery radio, valve covers but nothing mechanical
Exactly what I was thinkin.
Pretty sure that's exactly how it went. So of course Junior went right out and bought ten cans of Krylon.
YUP!
I was going to say the exact thing

My wife brought a '71 to the marriage, dowry.
400/400 was that pretty metal sky blue with the full Naugahyde roof.
What I liked was the trunk were so big and the sheet metal so thick that when the barkeep put the buckshot to us, the pellets didn't make it through into the back seat.
Started the video with a whine. My goodness. That’s why your my favorite UA-camr.

*Question::How does a guy git ahold-o-Mr.'D' to complete the PRO-ject(¿¡*
This guy just makes me happy
Uncle Vinny owned that one, he had it "cleaned" after he took Tony Marciano to sleep with the fishes, the cleaning was a quick new paint job and a total spray of the trunk to destroy any lingering evidence of Tony's last car trip.
Funny to see it on your channel now.
What a small world
Like Vice Grip Garage because he is a real guy not a rock n roll star. Enjoy it because he does projects that are within reach. GOOD LUCK.
I had both a 1st and 2nd gen Monte Carlo's, have always had a passion for them. Underrated muscle cars from the 70's that didn't and still don't get the respect they deserve.
SSSSHHHHHHHH be quiet everyone will want one...
Hard to use the words "muscle cars" on 150 hp midsize sedans. My '69 Lotus has 110hp and it only weighs 1500 pounds. That's the Malaise era for you.
That black-hole-sized fan shroud … !!! Yes!
it's bigger than my kettle grill 😂
even tho im a diehard bmw guy and know nothing bout american cars i enjoy watching these videos alot
Visualize in your mind , a 78 trans am shaker scoop poking though the hood of a 74 Monte Carlo ! That’s what I did to mine. I attached it to the inside of the hood directly over the carb and made fully functional. Every body thought it was a factory setup ! It looked sooo good.
Love the shortened plastic culvert to cover the fan! Damn that’s long!
Never seen a guy do a calmer burnout. Only reaction is "it's makin boost", classic.

We need more content with this car, I've only watched 3 times already
Yes, need to see it hook on dry pavement. Maybe get Crang to drag race the firebird or the Challenger against this car.
Someone should start a car club that consists of large 70s era cars like this and call it “The Yacht Club”. You know that Monte Carlo rides like a cloud!
The Monte was a mid size, more of a runabout than a yacht. There were plenty of land yachts for sure in '74. Big bucks, oldsmobiles, lincolns, Ford's,caddies and Chrysler's. I think you have a good idea for a yacht club. It's about time people start those big boats some love.
@@kenworth2343 yeah you’re right about it being mid-sized. The Gran Prix was a big one if I’m thinking of the correct body style. I’ve got a 70 LeMans Sport coupe and a 73 Mach 1 I need to start working on!
@@John-4649 They we’re great cruising cars. My 73 had the same split bench. I could fit five young ladies in the car with me and cruise around. That car was the only cool thing about me.
@@toddingram1198 Mine isn’t original unfortunately. Someone put the GTO buckets and console up front. The back seat is missing, and finding a good frame for it under $300 will be fun. The Mach 1 thankfully is all there and numbers matching. It needs to be restored but the interior isn’t that bad.
Apparently Todd, those five young ladies thought there was something cool about you... It couldn't be just the car.
This gentleman has always been my therapy I have a super stressful job as a mechanic for a construction company that is commercial. I get home and I’m always excited to watch his videos because it works like therapy he’s so calm in every situation and it helps me to be calm in my situation. 47:34 The smoke rollin' out of the right rear passengers headliner! 😜 😂 😀
I had a 74 Monte with the factory 454 years ago. I bought it from the original owner. The stereotypical little old lady. I wish i had kept it, but it needed a complete restoration. Engine, body and interior. I would love to find another one. This really brought back some great memories.
Might just be me... Every time I see a Monte Carlo, Molly Hatchet starts to play in my head.
The third music set during engine work sounds like Molly , sure , I don't know

Ol fellers down here in Georgia really enjoy the channel and I ain’t kiddin ya!
In the 1970s, I had two favorite cars - a '73 Gran Torino station wagon (hold laughter please) and a '74 Monte Carlo. Both great fun cars that carry great memories (some *really* great). The second gen Montes were gorgeous even with those huge bumpers. I also thought the round headlight versions were more handsome than the '76 '77 square headlight versions.
I used to see stuff like this all the time, back in the 80-90’s. Probably a $500 unit back then. It’s a one time meemaw car. After she passed, it ended up with a young grandson or sold outright to some kid.
First crack about it being a grandma car and it got painted and the wheels changed.
"It modulates" Love it! The smoke creeping in the back seat is great.

The little grin on the first pull. Who hasn't had that feeling?
In the early 90s I acquired a 1973 caprice classic with same engine, I removed it put an a performer intake, comp 260 cam, headers and quadrajet dropped it in an 82 Swb Chevy truck, it ran 15.5s at the strip with 3.08 gears ! Great motor! I really enjoy your channel!
factory heads no stall street tires?
@@mattv8919 yes they were original heads I believe were 882 castings(small valves). I even used the transmission out of the caprice it was a 375 turbo which I think was a long tail 400 turbo. Fun times

Brings back fond memories of my youth. In the 80s when I was in my 20s I had a green '75 Landau with a white top and interior. Blew my 6x9s and installed house speakers and always had a bottle of Jim Beam under the seat. Went to hell and back in that beast and she never let me down.
Uncle Bob here has a brilliant point: he looks at something wrong, then he states, 'Im gonna pretend I didn't see that!' He's not in denial. He simply decides to not factor it in to his success or failure; and that is great faith! He bets that the situation can still be favorable for him. Brilliant
I had a blue 76, was my first car. Had the s.b. 400, fun driver. Had swivel buckets, square headlights, snd wss s landau.
