- Police are searching for the people responsible for a deadly stabbing at one of the city's busiest light rail stations.
Police said a 37-year-old man was stabbed Saturday night just before 6 p.m. inside the station. He was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
People are on high alert at the Capitol Hill light rail station on Sunday, just a day after a deadly encounter.

And yet another instance where the public is given zero information about the suspects even though we have eye witnesses. And no surveillance? The reporting has gone down hill. You report the tragedy but offer zero help on how to catch the suspects. Its just a shame.
How does this even make sense though? There are always security guards at the Lightrail Stations, not to mention the security cameras that are EVERYWHERE, yet they can’t find the suspects?
Even if they did find the suspects a judge and prosecutor would simply just immediately release them to go back out to the public and start terrorizing citizens @@SpiritDetective-jd7wx
There is a story underneath this story. Sounds like a hit job.
When will criminals realize that these people reporting crimes is the real prize
You can figure out what the suspect looks like from their unwillingness to report the suspect's description.
WHY TF are you showing the tattoos of someone who does not want to be identified?!
Crime pays politicians
because the chance of any perp who did this crime id'ing dude from his tatts is about zero. Probably a little too concerned with fleeing to notice a strangers tattoos
Safety is NOT a top priority
The Second Amendment says that nobody has the right to live. It's sad that this is mistreated. Benjamin Franklin, A $100 Bill.
unarmed transit security wouldn't have saved this man.
They don’t lay hands on people either
Unarmed security that aren’t allowed to physically touch anyone. They are as useless as a toddler, all they can do is politely ask someone to stop stabbing while they call the police.
Maybe sound transit will slow them to raise their voice/yell someday as long as the correct pronouns are used.
I asked one of those guys what he makes in 2019 it was 20 bucks an hour, I’d be very surprised if the wage is currently around 25 which still wouldn’t be nearly enough. Gotta pay for real security in Seattle and real security is NOT someone who can only observe and report.
TRUE!
The city has failed all of its taxpayers and businesses
Why do they not have any description of the 2 to 3 people that murdered this guy.
Colin Flaherty wrote ‘White girl bleeds a lot.’
Because the killers aren't white. The media works for Satan and they protect nonwhite criminals.
We know
Sounds like the suspects are possibly illegal immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees, or persons of color. If it were a white person they would be blasted all over the news. This is, unfortunately, the way it is these days. I wish it weren't so.
Because they aren't Asian, or white or brown..
No pic of the suspect again huh smh.
Not the woman smiling saying how "unexpected" a stabbing is to her day. *facepalm*
Don’t worry guys! It’s now illegal to bring weapons on the light rail. We’re safe.
Prayers to his family and friends
This sound 100% targeted. Please keep investigating and don't accept this was "random."
No fare enforcement. No panic buttons. No cameras. No security booths. Considering the billions we waste on transit, how can "safety be the top priority" if people don't even have to pay to get in that train.
Had to spend THAT money on pronoun training...the REAL threat to the public, right?
I remember a teen girl getting badly beaten at one of the stations. She went to your security, begged him to help her. He didn't, apparently, they were not allowed to intervene, they were there to call the police. If that is still the case, sounds pretty useless. & I do not see that security and safety are a very high priority anywhere in Seattle, for anyone.
The loudspeaker always says “Sound transit does not tolerate harassment!”. I guess that doesn’t include stabbing.
How can we help find the suspects with zero descriptions or photos? The train cars have surveillance cameras.
@@dh2392 Can we at least get the correct pronouns of the suspects since it occurred in Capitol Hill? I don’t know if I should keep my eyes peeled for a ze, xie, they, fae, per, he or she. All I can assume is that the suspects are humanoid beings.
You can infer what the suspects look like from their unwillingness to release a photo or a description.
They have security camera all over each link station. Why not release it to the public? Already 2 days after the stabbing now.
How does this even make sense though? There are always security guards at the Lightrail Stations, not to mention the security cameras that are EVERYWHERE, yet they can’t find the suspects?
No way security is putting themselves at risk for a stranger.
This is Bruce Harrell’s Seattle. We are all on our own- the city will do nothing to serve its residents. Not the City Council, not the police. Every one for themselves.
it won’t be the last accident. RIP to the victim. and be safe out there guys
Its a culture thing.
It's no longer safe to ride on trains and buses anymore in Seattle.
Our city leaders only worries are how to collect tax from us.
This is disturbing
You couldn't pay me to take any public transportation around here. Changed in the last decade.
25 felonies later and then they took a life. So 25 judges are involved here with this homicide.
wtf are you talking about? they have no suspects so you wouldn't know how many if any felonies they've already been convicted. And if a person has 25 felonies chances that 25 individual judges adjucicated 1 each is probably none. you are obviously a whacked cult member just spewing complete BS because that's what the cult does
guess all that extra security didn't work
This is sad. I'm glad I moved away from Seattle. Glad I didn't invest in a condo or house on the hill.
Sound transit won't secure the stations. Fare is not enforced. Shut down the system until the agency can secure public transit
I wonder how many people just stood by and did nothing. It's scary to recognize how unwilling bystanders are to help in any type of emergency here. I've experienced and witnessed this with great consistency.
In Seattle, apathy is king. Also....no description of the suspectes🤦🏻♀️. Just useless hand ringing and deficiencies in information.
It isn’t apathy. It is not knowing any of the circumstances or how armed people in a confrontation might be. It doesn’t do any good to step in to something and get shot yourself. The first rule of responding is insuring your own personal safety. Dont become the second victim in a situation you probably can’t affect.
It sickens me how helpless we are. I think real justice won't be possible until rule of law is suspended
This is what happens when you have liberal rule
"You'd think taking the train or bus would be safe...."
Who? Who'd think that? Lawless in Seattle...by design.
Gotta pack heat to be in Seattle... not just for yourself and your family but also your fellow citizens. Dont count on the police or rent-a-cops
So, only 3 homicides in light rail’s history, and 2 of them happened this year (so far).
I quit
Yes ok, but if these Security officers are not armed with batons, mace, pepper spay and bullet proof vests at least - how can they prevent anything? Let alone protect themselves? And they must be empowered to act. Hello?
They're armed with cell phones to call a social worker.
I dont even like living a mile from the tracks
I hope Bellevue sees this and knows it's coming.
Stop the connection NOW!
Crappy seattle police.👮 what a joke
Yeah we’re encouraged to go to sports games in sodo and use the light rail but meanwhile it’s a disaster everywhere, yeah right! Think I’ll take my money elsewhere…
Bye, Felicia!
@@EricaGamet 😂
☹️☹️🙏🙏
Sad; now we’ll see how much enforcement there is on the Eastside’s new transit, Bellevue to Redmond. Let’s hope crime, drugs, and filth doesn’t spread to the Eastside trains.
assault weapons are banned how about knives?
I got an idea. Lets give free rail passes to the homeless and vagrants so they can have full run of the city.
Do you think its the homeless?
Crime is issue of broken society.
Look around. it’s not transit issue
Are the suspects homeless? Do you have info that no one else does? Did you do the stabbing?
No one checks your fare on the Metro bus red lines. You can get to much of the city on those. I'm guessing by your comment that you've never ridden them.
@@phillip3979Crime is issue of open borders that have never been controlled in history, undeniably mister Phillip you appear to be smoking crack over there. I grew up in Washington too bud.
Why didn’t they block out the guys tattoo that “didn’t want to be identified??? 😂 🤦🏽♀️
capitol hill was one of the liberal areas that closed their streets to avoid police presence. Now...the city has failed them? how come?
ok comrade
@@EricaGamet Hush, marxist
CHAZ still hanging out? 🤣🤣🤣
Annnnnd this is why Americans should never try to emulate Europe's transportation systems... Waste of money.
Dem Criminals
Where are the BLM protests over this? Oh, wait.
Madison put a new shirt on. A vest isn't a shirt dude
Seattle is a progressive free-for-all city. Seattle residents have to bear the consequences of the government they have elected.
Republiecan areas are even worse. I have lived in every corner of this nation. It sounds like you need to do some travelling.
@@RowdyLpx Thats not even close to reality, you need to get out a bit..
@@brianhearden459 It actually IS reality bro, Righties are extremely prone to violence.
@@brianhearden459 Look up crime stats. Seattle is not even in the top 10, 20 or 30 U.S. major cities for violent crime. Travel to some of those cities and then comment.
@@dh2392 The trouble with your argument is what the FBI statistics say.
Vote blue no matter who lolol
The news reader, Madison, is unprofessionally dressed. I don't know what she calls it, but she is wearing solely a vest. Ludicrous and inappropriate.
Remember everything is fine according to democrats crime is out of control Trump 2024
Republiecan areas are far worse in regards to crime. Unless you dont consider firearms homicides to be crime that is.
@@RowdyLpxkeep dreaming
Trump isn't going to fix anything he's a criminal himself and surrounds himself with criminals
@@RowdyLpx That's not even correct. A quick Google search showed all the top crime cities in the US are democrats
Anyone think the witness could be the actual attacker? Trying to confuse the investigatiojn by saying there was more than 1 perpetrator
If Tim eyeman was mayor our city would be great and we need dino rossi for governor he was cheated make wa great
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why do u hate dino rossi
@@user-ot4qi8kt2l I actually don't hate Dino Rossi, I do however loath Tim Eyeman. just to remind you... Washington has the strongest economy in the nation, and was the fastest to rebound after the pandemic. The only serious problem we have in Seattle is homelessness, and the associated crime, and half of the people on the streets actually come from republican areas of the state, and the country.
I was joking Tim eyeman is a crook he stole millions from wa state and Dino Rossi just bad with policies
