Question and wish that the company to ask questions first off why jackson guitar made in late 70s but was big yet until the 80s and 90s and why many extreme metal not glam but death and black deathcore blackened death and more use them for extreme stuff then telecaster but slipknot used them also why at first be I the creators and company’s invent them from Southern California where the glam of beaches and deserts and movies and video games we need it more safe and positive not being criminals in or see racial stereotypes like this Noel actor he keeps playing criminals he should regret the roles of Latino stuff it was a example so why John singleton and David Ayer and Quentin Tarantino which one is from Knoxville and the other Illinois. Also why some famous instrument inventions for pioneers invent in that stage just asking I thought why not wait to see tel there later and be invent imagine the south with the origin of rock music or blues and not sure why we don’t see hip hop start there instead Bronx if go back in time. Or maybe Midwest origins of elicited guitar or bass or drums and microphones
I figure there are limitations, but I really hope we get to see more footage from the custom shop. These guys make some absolutely stunning instruments which the average player never sees. Mike Shannon is an fantastic craftsman and master builder. Those soloists truly are part of a legacy.
Archisauraus...... I agree... I got my first custom shop soloist in 1987.....god I wish I still had that ... she was a beast.... Now I have a USA made SL-2H from 2003... That guitar has the same feel as my previous. The action is great, the strings sit right on the fretboard and she plays like a dream..... I will soon order a new custom shop soloist... what incredible instruments....
I so love Jackson! Jackson and Charvel are my go to guitars nowadays. And that's saying something from a guy who build two of his own Telecasters for a specific rock and country sound. When I first touched a superstrat, I instantly switched to metal. And a Fender Deluxe strat is nice! But then I go a Charvel and very shortly after a Jackson and dude... Jackson and a very close second Charvel really give you the best handeling because a superb neck design. It's like a Jackson was made for my relatively small hands.
Love my Jackson custom soloist and saving up for a masterbuilt 7 string. Someday would love to meet Mike Shannon and the other craftsmen masters at Jackson custom shop.
jackson you are my hero. WOO HOO excellent brand. killer sound great feel. i have never been sorry getting them. i get jackson parts and complete guitars off ebay. so far i have 2 RR, kelly, king V, ps-4 i love them all. next project is a soloist with gold hardware.
"we removed the first fret marker, which we didn't put in for many years for some reason" I've looked at my guitar collection and realized my two Jackson are the only guitars I have with a first fret marker 😅
*Attention Jackson Custom Shop* There needs to be more > 1.Volutes 2. Reverse (Back of Headstock) Mounted Locking Nuts (EVH Guitars have this) 3. Bigger and Longer Headstocks (Options for Custom sized/shapes headstocks) 4. Graphite Reinforcement Rods (Carbon Fiber) STANDARD on all guitars 5. Side Rectangular Position Markers (highly reflective) 6. LED options.
Yeah, Jackson is an fucking awesome guitar manufacturer. But i will say it again.. specially I love the reversed Headstock guitars. In my opinion it´s pity that so few made of them.
I'm assuming the hand-cut and hand-routed bodies and necks are for this limited run of Soloists only? I can't imagine Jackson doing that for their regular production guitars. Not very cost-effective and would waste too much wood.
It's prestige, if the prestige is important for somebody to have one of the 30 pieces limited edition 30th Anniversary Custom Shop Jackson Soloist. And if anyone want a close to same model, searching for a real 80s Jackson soloist about ~1200-2200$. I think it's not ultra hard to possibble. Or an early 90s Soloist Pro.
Dude where is the price logic between you guys and Kramer, why does the san dimas and ontario still go over 3k or 4k or more, while Kramer who started to copy the pointy soloist in 1986, cost below 1000$ or 1500 but not over 2k and shit , the construction of the stagemaster is equal in quality as for the soloist and also for the pacer and the rest... aint worser than any of the soloist. Why the crazy price tag? this soloist is just the same as the model 6 charvel or 650 or 750.. and what does cost 5K in a simple construction of alder and maple? marketing i guess and pay off the american labour?
No way I'd pay they money there asking for a scarf joined neck. Must be quarter sawn or laminated. Scarf joints are weak and kills sustain because of cross graining the timber. Facts. And for $8-$10,000???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is what Jackson should be like these days rather than making guitars with the most shitty quality. Hope some people get what I'm saying because I have a few Jacksons and 2 out of 3 of them are garbage. Even though it may play fine but it's how it's made. Step up to the game Jackson and have Fender's bitch ass stop taking you guys over your shit!
You've probably never picked one up, actually studied it and played it. They're actually one of the best bargains out there for the quality. I have a USA made soloist SL1 and it's by far the nicest guitar I've ever owned over the last 30 years. Solid, Precision Instruments with a build quality second to none. You're the one that's missing out!
Falling in love with Jackson guitars more and more all the time.
Owned bevy of them...have 2 arch top soloist with emg..and dimarzios....killer
Just got the Adrian Smith Jackson SDX in Trans green and it is awesome. Its become my number 2 under the telecaster
Im a guitar collector , and i have to say , there is MAGIC in the USA Jackson Soloist. The feel of it is incredible !!!!!

Jackson rules! Mike rules!
Mike is legendary! Jackson guitars rule the earth!
the Soloist Custom is one of the best guitar designs of the 20th century
Masters of their craft. Can't wait to get one soon!
Jackson / Charvel is my all time favourite guitar brand.
I love my Jackson guitar and have my eye on several others.
I had one of the original Soloist, I like the newer ones a little bit better. actualy the ones made in the mid 90's were the best.
THANK YOU SIR. to make our lives much better around the world for some many years!
Love finding videos like this!

after playing power chords under heavy distortion I switched from rock/pop to metal playing style!
Best guitars EVER!!!!
Mike Shannon is a living God...
Love my Jackson custom soloist and saving up for a masterbuilt 7 string. Someday would love to meet Mike Shannon and the other craftsmen masters at Jackson custom shop.
i sold my car last year to buy a jackson custom shop
Où cadavres sont conservés Were you still able to afford it?
Où cadavres sont conservés fuck transportation, just walk! Best decision ever my dude.
Well played sir. That guitar is a way better investment!
at least you have your priorities in the right spot :-)
@@wchurchill419 a custom jackson probably holds it value better than a car lol
Love my soloist!!!

Fret nibbes are such a classy touch
"we removed the first fret marker, which we didn't put in for many years for some reason"
I've looked at my guitar collection and realized my two Jackson are the only guitars I have with a first fret marker 😅
I wish Jackson still made guitars with the H S H pickup combination, like the DK3 model from the 2000 catalogue.
HSH pick up configuration
24 stainless steel jumbo frets
12-16 compound radius
Floyd Rose
Golden HW
Transparent finishes
Reverse headstock
fk yea! 500 thumbs up, not a single down...what else needs to be said about how us guitar players feel about Jackson....
4 life 🤘👊
Awesome, that's really cool.
I've got a 1986 SL1. My Main guitar since 94 after i sold My old 1988 dinky in blue crackle that was signed by Grover #13

I want another DK2S, Cant find one anywhere here in Australia apart from the red one I have.
I hope they still do Nagel model like the red one C.C. Deville played in "Your Momma Don't Dance" & "Every Rose Has It Thorns" video !!!
No, go for RCA guitars to do that graphics. They will ask shit ton of money, which is too overpriced...
Is there a 40th anniversary Soloist?
still have my 1988 Soloist Custom with the three switches, Jackson original pick-ups and Kahler locking trem. l would not part with it for anything
is it possible to buy a neck with shark inlays? i want to upgrade evrything in my ps3 randy rhoads
Yupp very nice to see acaring guitar company
Yeah, Jackson is an fucking awesome guitar manufacturer. But i will say it again.. specially I love the reversed Headstock guitars. In my opinion it´s pity that so few made of them.
Juh sam
I love em too
Reverse headstock is the only way
Care to fill us in on the cost of the old school Soloist. Bet it's a bit pricey.
I'm assuming the hand-cut and hand-routed bodies and necks are for this limited run of Soloists only? I can't imagine Jackson doing that for their regular production guitars. Not very cost-effective and would waste too much wood.
I go for a kramer pacer custom I oversized body era....less than 3 grand... and 80's!
What’s one worth??? 3500-4000 guesstimate
La vieja escuela no usan cnc bravo.
Thats Gary Moore's white jackson version which he used back in 1987 in wild frontier 's The loner
so fucking nice
this is really an electric guitar...cant effort it. thx...keep on being busy!
Sadly my Jackson wasn’t made there.
Yeah its only $5,633.79!!!
TheSpineSplitter1990 that’s far far fucking over priced for Jackson, usually their average USA soloist are $2200 as well as their custom shop soloist
@@lamborgatti-4783 In 1985 any of the Custom models were $1,850 base price. That's roughly $3,500 today adjusted for inflation.
Doesn't look like Shannon's doing much of the building there...
who plays music ??
I would love to have had one of those. dammit.
I'd kill for one of these, but you can score an original one for half the price used...
I usually hate three in a row pots, but along side those mini toggles....DAYUM. I wonder what they do tho...anyways, lookin sikk as fakk!
They're on/off's for each pickup
Thanks man
A 600€ kramer reissue like the baretta and nightswan does the same job as this
40th is soon
Why the heck would you go back to a pin router? CNC is way more consistent.....
They seriously should have put Kahlers not those soloist
Also Isac Newton buy a custom guitar at this custom shop.
how do u download custom shop???
Go for a charvel model 6 and there you gonna have the same model..
their neck isnt 3pc quartersawn maple.
+padawan007 The model 6 fingerboards are made of rosewood, not ebony.
yeah right, but 5000$ for what? this contrustion aint no special nor made of gold

yes i am totally in agreement with you.
Hello sir can i made follow you
'84 style soloist without the Kahler, wtf?
start making three piece guitars then why leave a scarf joint
hii Antonio beledo, jakson dk2s Japón
I don't understand what "back to the old days" even means. Content? That's at least an extra minute of video.
Back to the original...now, if only the music went better like in the 80's too..........the music on this video SUCKS !!!
That's why we have Steel Panther! They do that typical 80s glam metal thing with nice R-Rated lyrics.
Raymond Doetjes 🤮

Correct...never worth 3k in quality
For the low, low price of $5,000. Bet it's nowhere near worth the asking price.
No way I'd pay they money there asking for a scarf joined neck. Must be quarter sawn or laminated. Scarf joints are weak and kills sustain because of cross graining the timber. Facts. And for $8-$10,000???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Shitar soup
Why are jackson custom shops so overpriced?
TheHexebus nonsense. Don't be fooled by msrp. U can get good custom shops for far cheaper than Gibson, prs, etc.
They aren't. You must be a Millenial who thinks you should get it for free. You are not special. Deal with it.
Over priced? Get a job and buy one, not that hard

Cheap ass crap worth 500 dollars probably charge 3000
Don't worry about it pal. Go back to your crapiphone.
Mostly bullshit 24 frets
