    He has played the living shit out of that thing,had some accidents with it live (dropped it on stage etc.) and it still plays and sounds like new. These guitars are build like tanks and put many "boutique" guitars to shame,who cost twice the money, in terms of build quality, fretwork,durabillity and playabillity.
    And their japanese custom shop models are even more high-end,these custom shop models are ridiculously well build with some insane figured tops and what not.

    I bet even a majority of employees at Ernie Ball, arguably one of the best American built companies, don’t actually play guitar or haven’t been to guitar craft school for two years. Those details are evident in ESP guitars. Any ESP standard or E-2 I’ve ever picked up has been pure perfection. Nobody does it like Japan.

    • @wadeguidry6675
      @wadeguidry6675 2 роки тому

      Ernie Ball are definitely the best USA made guitars. I worked for a premier Music Man dealer. We also sold ESP standard (Japan) models and ESP custom shops. They were two highest quality brands we sold IMO.

    • @JohnDoeWasntTaken
      @JohnDoeWasntTaken 2 роки тому

      I wish the US would be more like Japan when it comes to this sort of stuff. We used to put in the effort to make sure if it was American made it was the top of the line. Japan has shrewd business practices that can seem worse than the US corporations, but these guitar builders would never even think about trying to cut costs and end up with a lower quality guitar. ESP is a big name there but if they slip behind in quality (which they won't) you best believe there are more high-quality brands waiting to take their spot. Black Smoker, Atelier Z, Japan has loads of smaller domestic brands that take their guitar building just as seriously.

      @hchoe741 4 роки тому +9

      @Lil' Rona I have owned Gibsons before fool. It's not just about the employees "seemingly" working hard. Like you can see in the vid they require their employees to go to school, and they have a small group of highly focused individuals building the guitars. Gibson on the other hand has a larger number of unskilled employees, a lot of them aren't even musicians, and they have lower level of expectations from employees, and worst of all they are unreasonably expensive.
      You know what Gibson does when a high profile artist requests a guitar? They hire an independent builder to make the guitar because they can't. Paul Reed Smith built Ted Nugent's guitars because Gibson couldn't. Esp will build you whatever you want, and they won't be hiring a ghost builder because they have the best luthiers.

      @@sveetton749 I don't deny that it's a marketing strategy. I've always had a theory that they changed the headstock logo so that more buyers will fork over the money for a higher end model. It's the same reason why time and time again guitar critics as well as players have asked Gibson to give Epiphone guitars the same headstock shape as a Gibson. PRS, Fender,. and all these other companies do it with their lower end models so what's the big deal? Gibson knows that people hate the Epiphone headstock which will push them to get a Gibson.
