Thank you, Dr Jones. I no longer have a dog do to hemangiosarcoma. I began following your channel because of Homesteading Family. I found your explanation of Parvo and how other diseases are spread is the most enlightening that I've ever heard. I am going to send a link to this video to everyone I know who has a dog. Thank you from Everett, Washington.
Thank you for the info before we even see it on the news here in CA. Every video I am learning something new from You. I have truly enjoyed your clear and direct style of teaching. You breathe life into the facts and personify the science for me to understand and retain the information. That is why I recently recently enrolled in the school! Tyvm for all you do for so many. 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for posting about this and explaining what your thoughts are on it. I look forward to an update when you have more information to share with everyone. 😊 Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for this! I've been in the wilderness, and only heard about this virus two days ago! It's time to start re-stocking my apothecary with jars of winter wellness. In your experience, Doc, do super athletic/working dogs tend to have a stronger immune system than couch potato/urban dogs? My dog has been allowed to run off-leash in the desert for several hours a day. I'm hoping that kind of fitness level will carry over while we winter in a suburban environment.
Timely info! Thanks doc! My sister’s dog just got hit by a car yesterday and had to go to the vet. He’s going to be okay, but she just asked me about this today since her dog could have been exposed at the vet office. Would you recommend sweet wormwood for dogs in this case? Thanks again!
Wait. I just this morning heard that it had been diagnosed as bacterial? Yes or no? And since this popped up in multiple seemingly unrelated places has anyone looked at food supply? Remember the egg issue with commercial chicken feed?
Thank you so much for this information. This illness has not hit our area as of yet but being prepared is key. Is there any herbs that are not safe for dogs? Thank you and God bless!
Thank you so much Dr Jones. To avoid the Vets office would the vaccines at tractor supply be ok for my girl? I’m taking her to a groomer now I guess I need to limit that too.
I believe my dog just died from this mystery disease! He started with a mystery cough and fever which went into facial/snout swelling that also went into his chest...was on 3 different antibiotics, steroids, finally Lasix to decrease swelling and ease the respiratory distress...got better for 2 weeks...then went outside after breakfast and found him crying and completely paralized...he was a young dog under 2...guardian dog on my 10 acres...no exposure to other dogs...did have an encounter with a skunk prior to this whole mess..thinking that's where he was exposed.
I saw another video mention chloramphencol. My hesitation is based on my limited knowledge of the drug that used to be standard treatment of typhoid (what I was told in East Africa when my son had it) but they no longer use it because of the extensive list of side effects. I would not want to start there. What do you know about it's use in dogs? This vet mentioned it was an old drug but I'm very curious about how safe it is. Perhaps as a last resort I'd consider it. I'd be looking at herbal support and treatment, and even homeopathy and then using strong drugs only if nothing else was working.
I watched the news several months ago where the interviewer was upset that the environmentalist wanted to get rid of dogs. All of a sudden dogs are sick?? Odd..i also seen where the national prize winning retriever in california was on deaths door n it was treated with human pink eye antibiotic n hes fine..thank you for all of the information!! Maybe you can figure out an herbal pink eye antibiotic..id buy it on a heartbeat 😅
Thank you so much Doc Jones. I had heard about the success of that antibiotic on the news and felt hopeful, but that makes sense it probably isn't the cure. Can I give my dog elderberry syrup as the antiviral or should i just powder elderberries and mix with the dosing you suggest on your website?
I suspect this as well, especially after the reaction our dog had to his bordatella vaccine over the summer. He lost control of his bladder for three months, had diarrhea, and now he coughs all the time.
Have you learned anything new about this bug? Our vet is now requiring our dogs to have the flu shots if we wanted them groomed. But NOT if we're in for just checkups. Doesn't make any sense to me but we do not want to put anything in our dogs if we can avoid it. I vividly remember doing something eerily similar just a few short years ago. And it didn't do any good then either.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge now and as more info comes in. Should the herbs be started in healthy dogs and continued until there is a vaccine?
Thank you so much. I have really started to appreciate everything you teach. I'm still a beginner in using herbs. I still don't know which herbs are safe for cats and dogs, or are the same as for humans? And you mentioned (maybe that was in your blog) that tinctures are fine, too. I always assumed that alcohol would be rather dangerous for cats and dogs
Thank you for another great video. I have learned so much from you. I do have to say that I am really surprised you would recommend vaccines. Have you read "Turtles All The Way Down"? What applies to humans also applies to our pets, no?
Family drinks chaga daily. So many serious health issues have corrected. I am a real Believer in herbs for ourselves and our pets. Our dogs shouldn't die at 10 or 12 years old. Anyway, thats my feeling.
Very helpful thank you. I'm hitting the books now to find out what the other substance is that Berberine needs to become an antibiotic. I keep berberine around , use it everyday to help keep my insulin levels under control. It would be nice to know how I could tweak it into an antibiotic if needed. 2 Old people from Texas
I've been Mortified of Kennel Cough after a Vet gave it to my Pug. The nasal application. Hours later "of course in the middle of the night" having a hard time breathing. (We had just moved to Tampa, staying in temp. lodging, knew nothing of the area. By Morning her lungs were filled with fluid and literally drowning. The Vet said, There is absolutely No Way she was affected by Kennel cough. That little Girl was our life. She passed a couple of years ago at 19. I definitely do not think Kennel cough meds are bad. It was just bad for our little flat nose baby.
I can not tell you how much i have learned and benefited from finding you! I appreciate you and your family/team so much! Wish so bad i could afford the school... Something I'm working toward! Love learning from your channel! In keeping your dogs healthy to start with so they have a good fighting chance against something like this, could you offer suggestions on good quality dog food? Thanks again! Loving anything I learn from Dr Jones! ♥️
Hey doc. I have a different question for ya.. my dog was diagnosed with CHF about a year ago. He is taking Benazepril and Lasix. Is there is anything herbal I can give him instead or to help??? Please advise thank you in advance
I routinely add chaga tea to my dogs and my birds water. I have done this for years. They crave the water and actually drink alot. They are 11 years old and you would not know they aren't puppies. One chihuahua had damaged trachea as a pup and honked all the time. That has corrected and not reoccured for a few years.
I cannot adequately express my respect & gratitude for your devotion to the health of your fellow creatures & humans. As a retired MD of the "old country doc" variety, not fooled by recent departures from the medical ethic, my appreciation is honest. I sincerely wish I had your naturopathic knowledge! I have used a few herbs with my patients thru the years as I became familiar with those few, & always meant to learn more. However, as pressures of time weighed down, never learned as much as I wanted. A huge regret now at 78. Now I learn as much as I can from your podcasts & from studying individual herbs. We must return to nature! Thank you, Dr Jones!
You forgot to mention that the price of the School of Botanical Medicine is going up Jan. 1, so if people have been thinking about joining, now is the time!!!
My dog way fully vaccinated as a puppy. Authorities raided the breeder and my pup ended up in a no kill shelter where they fully vaccinated him. When I got him at one year old he had a terrible ear infection from a weakened system. Now I titre him and highly suggest others do also.

Sweet wormwood is a great herb for a lot of things. Have a look at the blog in the video description for details of what I'd do.
In my area, I'd be concerned about this getting into the wildlife populations.
If they can figure out what the bug is, we can make better guesses about the risk of wildlife transfer.

Could this be a result of C-19 bio-weapon vax shedding on the Animals or possibly something in the Tractor Supply foods?

Hey Doc!! When you get your dog a vaccination does that lower their immunity for a time????
Can this be spread by contact with a person like a vet or vet tech who has been in contact with a sick dog or is it direct dog to dog only?
We just have no idea yet. But many organisms can do that.

Doesn’t this kind of sound like Covid but in dogs and I did hear early on when Covid was rampant that animals could catch it. 😮
Thank you sir
Does anyone know if it can be transferred from humans to dogs
I was told elderberry makes Corona drop into the lungs?
Any suggestions to treat Blasto in dogs

I agree. Sounds like the organism stimulates a storm of deadly reactions to occur. Just like COVID did. 🤔
Let’s hope all these mutations aren’t man made by those who profit from selling the treatment
❤
Crimony! Sounds like the canine version of covid 19. Would the remedies that work for humans work on dogs as well?
Thank you for sharing this info. As for your classes, I hope to retire in not too long and then take your course. Cannot wait!!
The price is going up in January. I'd enroll now and then start when you retire. You have lifetime access. :0)
