    Success story: Allergy season is coming fast. A year ago I stopped taking prescription medication (I learned on long-term usage some were connected to Alzheimer?!). So I got some stinging nettles, dried them and prepared a tincture with medicinal alcohol (38% Vodka 🙂), included some freshly ground black pepper and 6 weeks later I had my own anti-allergy medicine. A teaspoon before lawn mowing and I am fine. The hardcore test was last summer when I went to Wisconsin. I am highly allergic to some stupid mosquito found in that area. One sting and swelling starts immediately. My arm would get to double size in no time, unless I would take my allergy medication. This time I brought it with me (just in case), but used instead 3x a day my nettle-black pepper tincture (just a teaspoon) and -drumroll- nothing. I got bitten multiple times. But the stings were small red dots gone after a couple of days, with hardly any itching. I am no doctor so standard disclaimer: use at own risk. For me it worked beautifully. I just applied what I learned here on this channel.
    So thank you Dr. Jones!!! 😊👍

      That’s awesome. I was wondering why you combine black pepper with the stinging nettle?

    Have been taking gingko for years. Haven’t seen any brain function improvement BUT it has helped tremendously in reducing leg cramps which had become horrible. The gingko was a life saver for stopping the leg cramps.

I have the herbs, but not familiar with these allergic reactions yet. Do I email You or Evan and if so, what email is best. Thanks again Doc, I truly Love the classes. Blessings

    Wow! I have an enourmous ginkgo tree in my backyard! It is a female one so it drops the fruit with nut in it. So I want to know using it as a tea? You said harvest when yellow, I didn’t know that and did it when it’s green. These trees go yellow fast and then drop the leaves, it’s beautiful!

    • @emcarver8983
      @emcarver8983 2 місяці тому +1

      Yes! I used to take it green until I learnt that. What I do now is watch closely for changes in the autumn and put a tarp, or sheet down under neath it. As soon as one leaf falls, I shake the tree and get every single one. It's not a huge tree though.

    Tinnitus and increase testosterone for males. Also if taken during supper so sleepy sometimes have to fight to finish meal, so perhaps taken before finishing meal and especially sleepiness in men so I always recommend taken just before bedtime. Yep contradicts earlier statement, but perhaps not that night.😊

Lack of sleep is not helping, I'm sure. I have a lot of palpitations from out of wack thyroid levels (can't convince any doctors to see me). I wonder if ginko is safe?????

    One place I lived had a gingko tree. Every fall, the leaves would start talking and decide what day they were all going to fall off the tree. I'd go out in the morning, the tree would be bare and the leaves were telling me how they'd made it easier for me to rake. They all stick together so you can use a snow shovel. I wish I'd been into herbs then. Downside of the tree is the stinky fruit. Yuck.

      It drops its leaves overnight with a good frost.
