Brilliant, cant wait for the reviews. Quick question Eric. How do you find the oura ring comfort wise? Mainly at the gym with dumbbells, bars etc? thanks

Because of the quarantine I haven’t been able to go to my local gym, and unfortunately I don’t have a ton of personal equipment at my home. That said I can say: it is slightly more bulky than my traditional wedding band, but not enough to really notice. It’s not really that uncomfortable when I’m using it with exercise bands and the attachment handles, so I imagine that it will be fine with weights too. My bigger concern is that it seems like if it was to bend because it got hit with some heavy weight that it could break the internal electronics. So I’m probably not going to wear it during most exercises where I’m using my hands. But this is a recovery tracker, so I’m not worried about tracking my active exercise: I have both my Apple Watch and the ring attached to my apple health app, so even when I’m not using the ring, it is able to see the data pulled from my watch and bring that into its algorithm with the other data it is collecting.
So I really see the ring as an auxiliary device as opposed to an activity tracker. It’s for those that want an additional layer of metrics, specifically recovery metrics instead of only activity metrics.

Can’t wait for your G Shock Move review. Already have mine on preorder. Can you do a size comparison to another G Shock like the Rangeman?

hello Eric, I really got hyped about Amazfit T-Rex and I have Apple Watch 3 for couple of years now and I really like, BUT I'am not using it to it's full potential actually. And since I am a cop, T-rex is somehow better fit for my profession, it's more durable. Apple Watch is fragile (sort of) in my eyes and I constantlly have to think not to bump it into something while on work. Been watching couple of reviews on T-Rex, but since you sir are my #1 reviewer I've been hoping that maybe you will have it in some of your future reviews, I'am really interested in it's fitness tracking. Looking forward to see G-Shock also, I am a big fan of those watches.
stay safe, greetings from Croatia. :D

Can you pair the GBDH1000 to a chest HRM strap?

Hey Eric. I'm pretty interested in the Casio. The OHR looks very small on back and I wonder if that means the HR accuracy will not be any good. It's so much smaller than what we see on the back of a Garmin or Polar. The size would also be a a big concern for me. It's over 100 grams too. Still, I'm hoping Casio does well. Maybe they will create other lines with OHRs that are not so bulky

Yeah, I think that this is Casio testing to see if there is a market space for them to compete with Garmin, Polar, Suunto, and others. I hope they do well because like you said, I would like to see smaller versions of a similar product.

Techy Agent They could do something similar in a more comfortable size. Casio is pretty good with their solar technology too. Let’s see how it fares with you then!

How did u manage to get that gshock?

I was fortunate enough to have Casio reach out to me directly and offer to review a pre-release version. I’m still working out a few kinks, as I don’t have access to the app that pairs with the watch just yet. So I can’t officially begin my review until I get access to the new app. But so far the spec sheet looks really promising and very interesting. It appears to be a Garmin type of experience, and i’m really anxious to see how it compares.
