I just picked up this microphone regardless of the super mixed reviews. I have a super deep voice and most mics make me sound like a chipmunk or not muddy enough. I think the Q9U sounds great.

Is this Q9u better than samson c01u pro usb? Coz I have deep voice too and doing voice over work, and C01u pro usb is bad for low tone.

Great review. I own this mic and the sm7b. If you lower the gain on the q9u you will get rid of the breathing noise. On top of that if you speak to the side of the mic at a 45 degree you'll get nice clean audio with less to no plosives.

Far too much echo in your room. Not a good or fair place to be evaluating microphones. Especially when you're right up against of blank wall. Invest in some sound treatment and you should be amazed at how much better all microphones will sound.

When you think that people don’t bat an eye spending $1000 or more on a phone, even the Shure is a no brainer. Considering that most people will be buying these micks to in some way make them money, I’m surprised they are this cheap.
